Is it possible to add a firewall Filter or Rule Set to the Extreme Router (802.11n)

Is it possible to add a firewall Filter or Rule Set to the setting for the Extreme Router (802.11n) like the following:
"ALLOW TCP/UDP IN/OUT to 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220 on Port 53" and
"BLOCK TCP/UDP IN/OUT all IP addresses on Port 53"
The goal of this is to create a firewall rule to only allow DNS (TCP/UDP) to OpenDNS' servers and restrict all other DNS traffic to any other IPs.
Or, alternatively is there a way to configure same applied to the Network preferences on IMAC OS X?

The concern is NOT that the child can make changes to our hardware/AEBS, or even our network software on my IMAC - nothing's been changed.
BUT, he changed the dns settings on his OWN device (ie chromebook) to google public server, accessed the AE using our home wifi network BUT bypassed our dns settings. Capeesh?

My intention is travelling abroad for a year or two, and I don't want to take a laptop because it is too big and heavy. I have my iPhone, but I'm trying to decide if an iPad would be useful too. The problem is - because I wont have a computer with me, I wont have iTunes to add books/movies/music to either device. Is it possible to add stuff from any computer, and not a computer where my iTunes is set up? If the computer that I use (belonging to someone else) has iTunes on it, will my iPhone/iPad automatically try to connect and sync with that?

You can purchase and download content directly onto the device from the iTunes and App stores already on it.
You can use cloud storage (iCloud for apps that support it, or dropbox, box.net. google drive, sugarsync, 4share, etc) to move files to and from individual apps (things like pdfs, your own notes and so on).
You only need iTunes to backup really (although that is a very vital thing to do regularly, with any device)
However, to use a given store, you must have payment information and a billing address in that country associated with your AppleID. You cannot shop in a country foreign to your payment and billing address information. And your home store may very well be blocked (by IP address) when attempting to access it from a foreign location.

Hi, I was wandering if there is a way between two routers that 'speak' MPLS to introduce a firewall (i.e. pix firewall). I know by default is not possible but perhaps through tunneling etc?

Hi,
No, it is not possible at least for today. The packets between P and PE router are not IP packet but MPLS packets (it protocol type is different). One exception to that is penultimate hop poping. If P-H-P is placed and there is no other label stack (ex : no vpn ) the packet is pure IP packet.
Also one of the main idea of MPLS is that P router doesn't know anything except label binding information.
If you want to use firewall somewhere , use it on the CE side not between P-PE,P-P or PE-PE.

Is it possible to add a Negative filter / Boost / Bury option to a RecordSpotlight ?

We have a requirement in our implementation where in a spotlight should show all records that match some criteria and filter out a few from that which matches another criteria, kind of a Negative filter. This doesnt seem to be possible in the Spotlight Record Selector. Is that something thats do-able without writing a custom cartridge / handler ? I also see that the Boost and Bury options are not available in a Spotlight? What if the business wants to show a query result in the spotlight but for a festive occasion say XMas they want to show some new products on the spotlight even though the spotlight criteria doesnt match ? I somehow think the Spotlight record selector should be a Selected Records + Query results + Boost / Bury as against Selected Records / Query Results.
Please provide your valuable thoughts.

Is it possible to add a blur filter to a transparent layer without any background?

I want to have a Blur Oval Vignette feathered on the inside on a transparent background to use as a template. So then I could open an image, then open the template on top of the background image and would automatically have a Blur Vignette image without having to create it from scratch each time.

To change your minutes, text or data: Go to the Change Minutes, Text or Data page in My Verizon. If you have multiple lines on your account with separate plans, select the plan you’d you like to make a change to, and click Next. Select the data plan you’d like to have and click Next at the bottom of the page. Select the date when you want your changes to take effect and click Next. Add to default Filter HUD Rules?

Hi. As above. This has come up a few times on discussions, but no methods given, afaict.
I looked in the prefs files and in the Aperture program package. I didn't find anything (not my specialty ). I was surprised that com.apple.aperture.plist returned NO hits for "filter".
I'd like to add the "Place" rule to the default set.

Is it possible to add code to a button that would save the form as a jpeg file?

I currently use pdf forms to create records for the work I do, these end up being 5-8MB large and not much smaller when 'flattened'. I currently use a 3rd party app to convert them to jpeg before uploading them to dropbox for the clients. Is there a way to create code that i could add to a button which would save the pdf as a jpeg file?

The PDF forms are large because they include a large diagram which I then elaborate on with the drawing tools. I actually use acrobat to make and edit the form but PDF Expert on my iPad to edit them etc sorry probably should have clarified that. It is a single page however with form field and the diagram. I also attach a picture to the file before opening it in an app to convert to jpeg and then sending it back to pdf expert.
The save as button only allows me to save it as a flattened or original document within PDF Experts guidelines hence why i was wondering if there was someway to curcumvent that and save it as a jpeg directly, somehow integrating the other app with the pdf expert programm t stop me having to switch between the two.
The more I write the more I see how impossible this might be apologies for my ignorance if so.

Indeed, I have multiple webapps, and I'd like to have a common web.xml file that should be directly included in all the webapps including this package ?
Is it possible or not ?
As for JSF, it is possible to add faces-config file by putting it in the META-INF of the package.

Your title and your question are opposites...
A filter must be specified in a web.xml to be used. That doesn't mean the Filter's class HAS to be in your webapp, it just must be accessible to the Servlet container (you could place it in the common/classes directory or shared/classes directory or even the server/classes directory).
I've not tried it, but I see no reason why you couldn't declare the filter and filter-mapping in the server's web.xml which would then filter all requests in all webapps.

I want to display the data in recent week, is it possible to add a dynamic filter in query panel?

We are still trying to get this filter to work. Can anybody give us an example of how it should look on the sensor?
The sensor filter that we would like to create should exclude any source IP, any source port to specific destination hosts on all destination ports (icmp has none) from capturing events and storing them in the event store on the sensor.

How to add a photo filter image adjustment layer?

In this tutorial at the last step it says to add a photo filter image adjustment layer on the image to give it a warm finish, I can't see any adjustment palette as shown in image. I use a CS3 Extended.

Wow, again I stand corrected.
I have a perceptual "blind spot" when it comes to finding textual entries in lists. It's a "hidden in plain sight" kind of quirk that I normally work around either by being diligent or finding another way (e.g., pressing the button I highlighted above). I'm sure magicians and people who design camouflage would understand it.
I actually looked in both Photoshop CS5 and CS3 and didn't perceive that entry before I wrote my post above. I probably looked right at it but didn't sense it was there. I was even thinking of writing up a bug report. Now, of course, since you've pointed it out, I go back and look again in my copies of Photoshop and I do see it. It's a bit of a scary realization, as I have to wonder what else in life I've missed because of this. I'm reminded mildly of the scene in the old film "The Andromeda Strain" where the lab worker sees a flashing red "NO GROWTH" indicator but doesn't take action on it because of an epileptic block.

Possible to add affiliate banners/links?

Hi all, is it al all possible to add banners etc., for affiliate links to, say, the Apple Store?
I would like to set up a basic page for my local club and to include some links for the odd bit of funding but all of the banners I see contain HTML that you need to put behind a banner etc., so is it possible? I have searched and played around but no luck so far.

OK, answering my own question now - albeit a part of it! I have played around a bit and find that I can import an image and add a hyperlink to a static picture. My problems above seem to be related to the fact that the apple affiliate banners are annimated gif's. The gif's play fine on a page uploaded via iWeb but I can't find any way to add a hyerlink so that the viewer can click and go through the Apple store.
Any help would be great.
