Make a Shape > Inspector > Graphic > Tinted Image Fill > Scale to fit > browse to image > click on the color patch to change the color to what you want
or
Drag in an image > overlay it with a Shape > select the color for the shape and change its Opacity
Shapes may have Gradient and Advanced Gradient (multiple colors) fills both linear and radial. Both are in the Graphic Inspector as is Opacity.

Regarding the style templates in iWeb '06:
I notice that each template family has a certain color. Modern is white, others are wheat colored, others light pastel green and blue. One of them is black and uses a white colored font.
Question:
Is the color for each template style there to stay or is it changeable? I see that column size, box side, and font size, style and color are changeable but am suspecting that the color for the style of the page is not. Correct?
So this means that, say, if I want to change the Modern style template to be RED on one page, then I would have to paste a solid red photo on top of it and use that photo as a base upon which to add other things? Or what?

Well, lot of it has to do with the browser. Once the
browser background image is in the cache, it helps a
great deal; Firefox loads it pretty quickly; Safari
will not; Opera is 'middle-of-the-road'... (And I
don't even want to get into Internet Explorer!). If
your site is targeted towards the same group of
people, say a family site for example, and your pages
become established in their browser caches, then it's
not a problem. But if new people are visiting
frequently then the chances are they may never even
see your browser image. Again, this applies when
hosting with .Mac. I haven't had this problem
hosting to a remote server. .Mac is just plain slow
to load.
And this becomes particularly exacerbated if the
design of the page is predicated on the browser image
you have chosen....again, the design possibilities
are endless as you can build upon your favorite
photo, but you really need a fast server to maximize
the potential.

Dear Ap -- I must say that I have not understood what you wrote because I lack familiarity with some of the topics/concepts/terms that you mentioned. The browser issue went over my head, although I do understand about caches (I think). What I take away from what you said is that I had better not mess around with the clever procedures described for changing page color because the downside is worse than the advantage. I might take advantage of the clever techniques later on when I actually know what's going on. I am not at the Clever Techie stage yet.

Just updated to new Firefox - now when clicking on a website to visit the color of the print no longer changes to indicate that I have visited that site already. How can I get that feature again?

Since updating to new firefox I have lost a very helpful tool. Before, when I clicked on a website to visit, the color of the print would change from blue to purple to indicate that I had visited that site. Now it does not do that so it is difficult to keep track of what sites I have visited and what sites I haven't when looking down the list of possible sites to visit.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

You have to explain your problem clearly with as much details as possible including the version of the SQL you are using so that everyone here can understand. From the title of your post it looks like that you want to change the color of the data series
marker (the dot in the picture above) in a SSRS chart.
If I have understood you correctly then here is how you can do it.
1. Select the data series properties. Select and right click on the line in the chart in design mode. Then click on "Series Properties" and go to the properties tab for "Markers". Under "Marker Color" drop down select the expression
and set the expression as shown in the picture. Replace "Field!Qty.Value" with appropriate field and the criteria for the upper and lower bound you want with their respective color.
2. You can see in the snapshot below that the color of January Month has changed to Red since the qty value is less than 300 as set in the expression above.

but I cannot understand whether it is allowed by Apple and if an app using it could be rejected.

Yes, it is possible to change row colors on array fields.
I have attached a PEX (tools.pex) which has an object which changes FillColor
and PenColor for Arrays. The PEX has it's own test window, so you can try
various combinations. (There are a few other Objects in the Project which are
not relevant
I'm not sure that you can change colors on individual choices in a scroll list.
I haven't tried playing around with it.
The test window actually changes the color of scroll lists as well.
The object keeps track of which rows have changed color, same with pen color, so
that when you scroll it keeps track of which rows are a different colors.
The pex is self-contained, just import the file and do a test run.
Please let me know if you have any problems.

I need to create a list field that will allow me to dynamically change the
fillColor and/or penColor attributes of individual rows. (I just want to
highlight the rows, and those seem to be the obvious attributes...) It appears
you can't do that on scroll lists (the elements are list elements, and don't
have those attributes) and I can't figure out how to do it on an array field
either. Any ideas for how to accomplish this?

I shoot only RAW - no JPEG-files except those visualizing the files on my memorycard or computer. I think i have to refine my question;
1. I know there is possible to make B/W HDR-images.
2. I know the best HDR images are based on RAW-files.
3. When i transfer the images in question to a HDR software they change, so when i view them in the software (either Preview or the HDR software) they are suddenly viewed (and processed) in color.
4. This never happend on my PC so i know it has to do with either Finder or Preview.
5. Do i have to make all my B/W HDR-images on the PC or is it a way for me to change how Finder/Preview show/alter my images?

Is it possible to change a color within a PDF using Acrobat?

I would like to change a color within a large batch of PDFs.
The color should have been changed in Quark, but now that I'm well into the PDF production cycle, I'm wondering if it's possible to edit the PDF directly.
Apart from color photos, there is only one spot color to be adjusted.

The color in the PDF file is a Pantone color created in Quark. I want to replace it with a different Pantone color. Is that what you mean by an "arbitrary replacement"?
The entire document is black and white plus this color. The file was exported as a composite process black plus a spot color.
I can open the PDF as a text file and I see that "CustomColors: (PANTONE 267 C)" appears twice, as does "CMYKCustomColor: .842 .987 .002 0 (PANTONE 267 C)" but replacing them with their counterparts in a document that is the same except for a different spot color has no effect.
Any suggestions?

Notification - Change the Color of the Notification URL

I have a requirement where the Color of the Notification URL (Subject) should change as per some pre-defined condition. This changed color is to be visible in the Workflow Worklist page where all the notifications are displayed.

Hi,
You can store an HTML tag within an attribute, which you then use as the subject for the message. For example, create an item attribute called MESSAGE_SUBJECT which you set to "<font color=red>Your subject goes here</font>". Copy this item attribute as a send message attribute.
When you send the notification, the subject should appear in red.
Two limitations on this though. Firstly, if the notification is being sent via email, then the subject will contain the HTML tag as well as the subject. Secondly, this only works with the HTML based worklist - using the OA framework worklist will do the same as an email.
