Is it possible to do batch compression of projects?

I often need to compress anywhere from 15 - 60 short (1min) projects in a single sitting. (individual athletes ski racing runs) It's a bit painful to repeat the compression one at a time, over and over. Is anyone aware of a method or application that would take a group of projects and compress them in batch form and keep the titles of each project?
Thanks,

Automator.
iMovie doesn't have any support but QuickTime does.
You can drag a folder full of .mov files onto an Automator "droplet" and just let it run.
Other file formats are also supported but AVCHD files would need iMovie first (for the import).

    Please check this answered link:
    Batch-classification view
If you want classify a batch, then you should have maintained the batch classification in material master which is either class 022 or class 023 (depends on your batch level set in cusotmizing). The material class 001 has no impact on the batch classifcition, it is what it is: a classification for the material.

  • Problem with Batch Compressing

I may be doing something wrong but when I'm batch compressing (15 short films in this instance) Compressor wants to call each one the same name as the first one, even though they are uniquely named. Is this some odd quirk of the programme?
For example if one is called 'film' at the top, when I send the rest off to compress, it puts 'film' in the title box of the others.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me>?
    Cheers.

Well although it seemed to want to title all of them the same as the first one, they did all have unique names at the end of the job.
    So now worries!

  • Batch Compress without Name Change

If I wanted to take 300 clips from a DSLR and compress them to ProRes (and save in a new destination folder) without changing the names (i.e. appending the transcode type) how would I do this without having to edit the name of each clip individually?
The reason I want to do this is easy reconnect for Proxy vs 422 files in FCP. Batch compress to one directory as Proxy and to another directory (separate batch) as 422.
If the files have the codec type appended FCP won't reconnect to all files automatically.
    Any ideas?

  • Batch Render, Batch Compress

We have hundreds of video titles we are trying to convert to DVD and would like to batch render from several FCP project files each one being a different video and separate and unique project file.
The other option would be to batch compress to compressor directly from FCP, but can compressor open a new FCP project once it has finished the current project?
Any info on this would be quite useful.
    Thank you,
    James

Thanks for the response. For some reason I thought you couldn't render h264 from the queue. I've figured it out, though, thanks!

  • Split valuation with batch management and project stock

    Dear Gurus,
I need to combine two following requirements:
    1. split valuation with batch management (valuation type = batch number)
    2. project stock
These two functionalities work fine separately but not together.
I receipt PO for material with spiit valuation on a batch level into a project stock. Posting is OK and material document (MSEG table) seems to be OK (batch number, valuation type and project stock are in this table). The problem appears when I want to display material in this valuation type (MM03) or batch (MSC3n). They don't exist!!!  Short investigation showed that during goods receipt table MBEW (valuated stock) was not updated with this valuation type.
But If PO is receipt into normal stock first and then posted into project stock everything is OK.
Have you had or heart about such issue? I would appreciate any sugestion.
    Thsnks in advance.
    Marcin Bernat

    Hi,
As you already know ,u are using project stock and doing goods receipt against project, stock table QBEW will be updated and not MBEW. MBEW only updates in case of plant stock valuation. If u receive any goods against project stock it does not contribute to plant stock. Irrespective whether your material is managed in split valuation or not, If it is received against project stock it only updates QBEW. There is no need to update MBEW, if u r using split valuation in project. QBEW also have valuation type as another level like MBEW. If u want to see material price for project stock, it can be  seen in QBEW -valuation type and not in mm03.
As u r receiving goods against project stock this is d only reason QBEW is updated and not MBEW.
QBEW will store all information like MBEW for batch number, valuation type and project stock assignment.
    Hope it answers your question.
    Deepak.

  • Is it possible to create a personal Start project for sdtrpro?

Is it possible that in a New project some Personal settings Be Inside from the beginning?
I got a Standard Compressor and eq Setting for my Voice Over recordings. I want the vo Track in a specific color with the Track Name VO......etc
Is it possible to make a own New project that Starts when sdtr pro starts!
Every Time i send a sequence to sdtr pro i have the Same Things to do over and over again...
    Is there a Way?

I would love to do this as well. Even project templates would be good.
What I do is open the same pre-configured project and do a save as... For me it is a standard set of busses, assigned to the surround channels with pre-configured compressors, etc. Of course this means sending from FCP requires the extra step of copying and pasting into my new project and round tripping won't work, but I found round tripping is broken in general.
To prevent me from making mistakes and over-writing it, the project is marked as read only.
I hope in FCP 8, that STP is built right into it and no round tripping is needed.

  • Delete source during batch compression

Hi, I have a bunch of rushes I need to compress and rather than sort more hard drive space I'd like compressor to delete each source file as it finishes compressing it in he batch.
    Is this possible?
Had a search but couldn't turn up anything. My questions tend to be straight from the remedial class so thanks and apologies in advance:)

If anyone interested, we have manually validated and deployed the application. From then on the batch was working fine again. It looks like validation has been failing during the batch, but once we did it manually, it seems to have cleared itself.

  • How can I batch compress images on import

    Hi All,
This might not be the right place for this question; if so, apologies in advance.
Since moving 100% to mac, I've been experiencing a workflow problem, and I can't seem to find anything in iPhoto or Automator to help me out.
My camera takes JPG photos with a fixed file size. That is, all of the images are exactly the same file size, no matter what the image is of. It turns out that this is a huge waste of disk space. To get around this on my windows machine, I used to do the following:
    1. Import images to temp folder on my computer.
    2. Use irfanview to batch save all of the images to a different folder, with 90% jpg compression.
    3. Import the resulting files into Picassa.
Doing this would sometimes reduce an image size from the default 4mb to as small as 300kb (average about 800-1200 kb), and made a really big difference to my disk space.
I would like to find something similar on my Mac, but I've been unable to.
All I want to do is to open each image and save it with a predetermined level of compression. And, I'd like to do this either to the photos that are already imported into iPhoto, or to photos before they are imported.
I thought that automator might be able to help, but I cannot find a simple 'save with XX compression' command anywhere (although I can find tasks to import photos to the computer, and then to iPhoto, so it's mostly there).
I can't find any functionality within iPhoto itself to handle this problem.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You do know that when you compress the jpgs to the 90% level you're reducing the image quality of the file considerably, right? That being said, the only way to do what you want is what you did on the darkside, compress before importing into iPhoto.
There are some resizing apps than you can set to just compress the quality level and leave the pixel dimension alone. Renamer4Mac is one. You can find more by searching at VersionTracker.com for "resize".
What with the large HDs that come in the Macs and the availability of large, inexpensive external HDs, resizing before importing into iPhoto is considered by many to be penny wise but pound foolish.

  • UD possible only for Batch mgmt active materials

    Dear All,
I have a requirement where the UD/RR must be allowed for only batch managed materials. Is it possible. Can we create some user profile for this and do it.i.e for all materials where batch management is not active there should be no inspection possible.
    Thanks to all in advance.
    Regards,
    Manisha

    Hello Shyamal,
Thanks for your reply. But this is not possible as their part numbering system contains the quality no. of their material hence it is unique and cannot be changed.I had suggested in QA32 instead of using standard layout screen they can use the finish/amp screen which also displays the batch NO. for the inspection lot.So if Batch no. is absent here to do the reverse posting for that particular lot.
But I wanted to know if there is any status profile  which exists or can be created for the same and that which can be used for this.
    Regards,
    Manisha

  • Is possible Block the batch stock  in the run MRP

    Dear gurus,
i have a stock in the batch A , is possible block the stock for run MRP ( don't see the stock in the esecution MRP ) and create a planned order?
    Thanks a lot
    Daniele Pistilli
    PP TEAM

    Dear
MRP can't be run on Batch and the stock of the batch should be transferd to special stock like QI , Block stock  so that MRP do not consider during Net Requirement Calcualtion  even it is avaliable in the same storage loaction which is relevent for MRP run .
Basically , In order to exclude few Batches stock from MRP, SAP has come up with different categories of stock like blocked stock, restricted-use stock... etc.
you can transfer these stock into blocked/restricted use stock and enable the respective check box in T-code: OPPQ in "Available Stocks'Option (Maintain Plant Paramters screen) -Here Mark Block Stock so that MRP will not cosider the same .
After transfer of stock & Check Box enabled in OPPQ, execute MRP, system will not consider this stock.
    Hope it helps

  • Is it possible to make "batch" update of a web template property?

    Hello,
We have about 200 web templates that we've created using the Web Application Designer. In templates there is a property called: "Do not display System Messages" which supresses the loading messages when these web templates are running in a browser.
In all our 200 web templates this property is not checked and we would like to check it. Is there any way to make a batch update on all the web templates at once instead of doing it manually for each one?

Mac OS X will not run in a virtual machine, except as 10.6 Server:

  • Is it possible to "recompress" a compressed file?

Hi, all. A couple of years ago I made a project in iDVD and archived it to a .img file thinking I'd never have to see it again. Well, lo and behold I've been asked for a copy of that project. The problem is the .img file is 5.08 GB, too large for a standard single-layer DVD-R. (I'm not sure how this project could possible have burned to a single-layer DVD in the first place, but that's a mystery for another day).
Anyway, does anyone know of a way to "recompress" this 5.08 GB .img file for use on a SL DVD, or do I need to get a double-layer DVD-R?

    Great !
You can extract the video and audio streams from the DVD image and re-encode just your audio to make all fit in a DVD5 without quality loss.
    Do as follows:
    - Use the free MPEG Streamclip to extract the MPEG2 video stream and the AIFF audio.
    - Use COmpressor to encode the AIFF audio to Dolby 2 (AC3). Use any of the standard Dolby 2 presets from Compressor and change the following settings in the Dolby preset:
    * Dialog Normalization: -31
    * Compressor preset: None
    - Create new DVDSP project and import the MPEG2 video and AC3 audio into a track and author your DVD.
You video will be untouched and you audio will be fine. You'll have to create a Menu if you want or just leave the track as First Play.
    Hope that helps !

  • Batch Processing of Projects

    Hi all,
Is it possible to have iMovie create movie files for several projects in one go? My usual work flow is to import a tape from my camcorder, split that into a couple of different events, create a few projects from each, and share to AppleTV.
The problem is that sharing the projects one at a time is tedious; I'd rather set them up and then let them run overnight. Can that be done within iMovie? If not, can it be done with Automator (I've never used it, but am looking for an excuse to try)?

AFAIK you can't batch your workflow, couldn't even do that in im6 (although you could have multiple projects open which seemed a little silly to me)
