Is it possible to import an existing Struts web app WAR file into Workshop?

I browse the documents and tried using the workshop with no avail trying to import
an existing Struts WAR file. If someone know of a way doing this, I would really
appreciate a pointer or so. If this is not possible, please let me know so I will
not end up pulling out all my hair....

Export the OMF from an audio app like ProTools or Logic as a stereo pair AIFF, then use that with your video. Chop it up if you need to checkerboard.
Of course this will only work if the audio is very simple - overlapping audio will mess you up. If you can figure out the audio app part, you can split up your OMF into separate tracks.
But then if you can't get it into an audio app, you're a bit hosed.

Is it possible to import and display/plot (Google Earth) KVM files as overlays in Mac OS 10.9 Maps application?
Here is the particular application: (note I haven't gotten the code to compile yet -- seems to be several differently named environment variables in Mac unix than in Linux that are making the compile blow up -- but that's another issue) there is a freeware application that can do radio path loss prediction and plot path loss contours on a map. It has an option to output the data as KML files which can be imported into Google Earth, in order to display the path loss contours on Google Earth maps. I guess you could liken it to displaying overlays of GIS-like data in Google Earth. I would like to know if there is a mechanism to facilitate importing KML data files to overlay (preferably in a translucent fasion so that you could see the underlying map) onto Mac OS 10.9 Maps?

While the commerce side of it has little to do with the KML files, per se, the API for the layer data should allow for any type of overlay.
Also, the patent was filed Dec 19, 2013. There was a related patent filed in 2012. Not sure what it is about.

Deploying an existing WAR file into the Portal

I have downloaded the Enterprise Portal and the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio (NDS) and have succeeded in creating a couple of projects of the Hello World variety and deployed them on the Portal! So far, so good.
The problem I have is that need to deploy on the Portal an existing JSP/Struts application of ours which is available as a Web Archive (WAR) file.
The problem is that I cannot find a way of deploying an existing WAR file on the Portal either via a Project or otherwise. I have found an entry in the Help files with the NDS which sounds promising, as it is entitled Import a .WAR File into a new project. However, the menu entry it says you should use (File ‑> Import ‑> MDK: Import a web archive (.WAR) into a new project) this last entry does not exist on my installation of NDS.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Mustafa (and All) - thanks you very much for your answers, which has enabled me to make good progress.
I have created a project in the Deploy Tool, imported a simple WAR file into it, loaded to project and depployed it on my instance of the Portal - or at least I have deployed it as far as the Deploy Tool is concerned.
However, when I try to find it in the Portal in order to assign it to an iView in the Portal content, I can't find any evidence of its existence!!
As another 'tack' in the NDS I have created an 'Enterprise Application Project', into which I appear to have imported the WAR file - but I cant package this as a PAR file, which is what I seem to need to do to get it into an iView on the Portal. To create a PAR package I seem to need to create a 'Portal Application Project' - but I can't find a way of getting the WAR file into that!!
Any further advice would be greatefully received.

Yes, you can import an existing JSP app in the same way you import a Struts
app. The process is explained in chapter 8 of the Starting Guide.
Creating new apps is currently limited to Struts. This will be fixed in
future builds.

your domain should be started in developement mode. Then, just copy your
war file in the "applications" directory under your domain directory.

Im still isnt 100% clear to me...In tomcat when you have a WAR file you can just put it in the webapps directory and tomcat will automatically expand it for you and you can run the application straight away.

Is there a way to import data in a spreadsheet or text file into Contacts v7? I have a list of about 500 people and their email addresses in FileMaker Pro that I can export in a number of formats that can be manipulated. Is there any way to get those contacts into Contacts without entering them one at a time?

I have answered my own question. I exported the data from a layout in FileMaker Pro containing the required fields as tab separated text. That produced a .tab file that Contacts wanted nothing to do with. However, when I changed the .tab in the file name to .txt, Contacts accepted it as a file to import (File/Import). I then identified the field in Contacts in which the data in each field in the txt file was to be placed and in it went! The trick was changing .tab to .txt in the name of the file exported by FileMaker Pro.

I am brand new to SAP and i'm trying to help out with a proof of concept for our SAP rollout. I am trying to import a J2EE application that currently runs on WebSphere 5.1 and was developed using WSAD. The steps seem simple enough yet I am having issues trying to import my WAR file into my Web Module Project in Netweaver.
Step 4 gives the following instructions: Create a WEB Module Project and import the WAR file.
Unfortunately, they do not give more detail besides Import the WAR file. When I try importing my WAR file, it adds the WAR file in my Web Content folder. I was expecting it to extract all my java classes and my jsp files but this is not the case. To do this, I right clicked on my Web Module Project while in the J2EE Explorer view and selected import file and selected my WAR. I'm assuming this is not correct.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Phil!
You don't need to create previously a web module to import the war then.
I'm assuming you're using NWDS (Netweaver Developer Studio). Try this. In NWDS: File -> Import... ->
then, select "WAR file". After that, you need to inform the path of you WAR file and automatically it will fill in the name of your project, that you can change if you desire. After that, click in Finish and it's all.

As for the maximum number, I haven't found that. But as mentioned in the article, "If you try to import too many contacts, you'll see an error message. Use a program such as Excel to open the .csv file and break it into smaller files, and then import each
file separately."
We cannot export contacts from owa. As a workaround, we may select the contacts and right click on them, choose Forward as Attachment, send the contacts to another email address you have.

Set default import format when drag and drop sound file into multitrack view?

I've looked around the preference panels but cannot find where to set the import settings for dragging and dropping sound files into multitrack view. Some of our computers have correct settings and others do not. Thanks for your help!

I should have been more specific, sorry... I mean bit depth and bit rate... On some machines this defaults correctly and on other machines it is wrong. Not sure how to set these to downconvert properly by default. Unless it automatically takes the format of the source file, in which case it's just been luck.

We are trying to migrate the struts web app from WLS 6 into WLS 8, but keep getting

When I use blank struts-config.xml, the web app can be deployed without exception.
but when I use the struts-config.xml we are supposed to use ( had been deployed
on WLS6 and WLS7 for production), I get the exception.

Is possible to import controls, operators and indicators from a file? (for ejample *.CSV)

Is possible to program a VI from some type of file automatically? (.CSV for example).
The general purpose is to import information from electrical schematics.
Is there any better method for this purpose?

Which was part of a community project to help us manage emoticons for use in posting to this site (I still use this on my home machine).
As it stands now it will read in a set of images as defined by a configurtion file and populate the Picture Control with images of the emoticons. If you click on any of them, it will figure out what emoticon you clicked and copy the URL of the emoticon into you clipboard so you can paste it into the dialog for inserting images on this forum.
So it has the following abilities;
File driven set of images
Asssociation of image with info
Abilisty to import new
Automatically fits the controls to the picture.
Now don't dismiss this off-hand because it uses emoticons. The image can be anything you want. Using the image you get from an "invoke node >>>Get image" will work fine and can save you a lot of work since you do not have to code up the functionality of the control.
Now if you can limit the types of controls to a fixed set you can get another advantage to help you "make the controls work" by doing the following.
1) Mouse down picture .... find associated control type
2) Use off-screen hidden control of that type and move it to where the image is in the picture (over top of the picture) and make it visable and give it key focus.
3) Let user interact with the real LV control that is over-top of the image.
4) On enter or mouse leave of the control, get the new image, stuf it in the picture... hide the control that was previously hidden.
I can not leave this topic without again saying that "Controls on the Fly" application carry a large development effort to get them to work correctly.

Problem when importing several (2,3 or 4) video files into one project.

Im creating a project video with several videos running at the same time in one screen. Sort of like a surveillance with different videos but for some reason one of the video file seems to change from 45 seconds to 3 minutes. When all of the video files are 45 seconds but after effects seems to put that video file into 3 minutes. I even deleted the file and imported another video just like it and it works fine until I open the project again. I am using AE CS4.

I hope I did this correct. The first link shows the video length of the videos, this is how it is suppose to be. Then the second link shows the problem in which one of the videos after (after effects) is closed and then opened again. One of the video seems to malfunction and shows that it is longer then 45 seconds. I tried to delete it and open up another one... and then another video seems to malfunction.

Is it possible to automate the export of web app items?

I can see that it is possible to export web app items to csv manually. I was wondering if there was anyway of automating this?

Imported web app image file path shows no picture

I am trying to import a file path into the image (type) field of a web app, but the image does not appear on page. If I go into the web app item, do nothing but click 'update', the image will appear on page.
I have tried importing using Auto-Detect, Comma delimited (CSV), and Tab delimited with the same result. I have exported the .CSV from Numbers (app), and tried copy/paste into TextEdit for Tab delimited. Text is UTF-8.
Is there some trick to getting the import of a file path to work? Do I need to escape the "/" in the file path (ie. /_assets/images/<filename> to \/_assets/images/<filename> )?

As I am still testing this web app, I uploaded an image through dreamweaver, then went to the web app, clicked the 'select image' link next to the Image field, and continued to fill in the other info.
Once that was done -- so I had one example web app item in the spreadsheet -- I exported the template, filled it in with additional data, and imported in the various ways described. I am only using the one image. http://mainedreamvacation.businesscatalyst.com/specials
I get this image visible on page, I had to go in and update each web app item. Tedious for testing; impractical otherwise.
