Is it possible to insert a picture in a form?

The person filling out the form would insert a picture in a space provided.... all of which could then be distributed.... Or if I can't do this in a PDF form, how else can it be done? What I'd really like to have (but is probably not doable) is a thumbnail of the picture on the form where it expands upon clicking on it. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Obviously I'm new to this and just trying to help a friend out in his new business. Thanks!

An html widget (created with adobe edge or other means) would take up the whole screen when the user taps on the widget. Probably not the localaized effect you're looking for. Another way could be to use a keynote presentation with an animation that starts when the user taps on it. None of these solutions are ideal. If your book has a lot of these types of effect, you're better off developing an app or using another tool than IBA.

Insert editable picture into PDF form?

Good day,
I am creating editable marketing flyers for a client. I'm opening my PDF (originally created in Illustrator) in Acrobat and adding editable form feilds for the end user to add their contact information to each piece. The enduser also wants to add a photo with their contact info. Is there a way to create this as part of the form? Ultimately, I'm wanting them to be able to insert a picture into a specified area and not have to resize the photo. Is this possible in Acrobat professional?
Any information would be greatly appreciated! I'm working in CS3 and Acrobat 8, on a mac.

This post has been invaluable for me! Thanks for everyone input. I have used the event.target.buttonImportIcon(); javascript to create PDF's the user can import, and it works great. However I now have on last challenge and I am hoping someone on this forum can help out with. Is there anyway (with a little javascript on the button) to have the image the user uploads flip upside down? I have a document that needs to be folded in half, and it would be perfect if I could have the user upload the image to both buttons, but have one button flip the image upside down. I know I could have the user do that image flipping and re-saving on their own, but I am trying to simplify things. Any ideas here would be helpful.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO INSERT A PICTURE ON THE LEOPARD WALLPAPER

I like the standard wallpaper that appeared after i installed leopard. I would love to have some personal photos, even just one, appear in a small box, maybe 2.5x3 inch, or other size. I just dont like when the entire desktop is occupied by personal photo.
does anyone know how to accomplish this?
I guess one option is to take the leopard wallpaper and edit it to have the photo inside it and use that as the desktop.
I would prefer a program that could run a photo on a small portion of the desktop or rotate several photos through that area?
Anybody have any suggestions>

In google maps, when you make a request, there is a pointer named "A" with a short pop up description. I find that in my web applet "google maps", the pop up take too much place on the screen. I don't want to put the iframe height more than 500 so do you know if there is a way to desactivate the pop up information and just let the pointer "A" visible?

Acrobat form field that allows Reader user to browse and insert a picture into a predefined area

Is there a way to do insert a form field into an AcroForm that allow Reader users to browse and insert a picture into that form field?
I know that LiveCycle can do this, but I need to do this using an AcroForm. Or maybe there's a third-party plug-in that can be used in an AcroForm to do this?

The text options are very limited.
Besides the watermark option mentioned already by dj_paige you can
- add text in the Slide Show Module. Click on the letters "ABC" below the image and then select your text options from the drop-down menu. See screen shot.
Besides "Custom Text" as shown you can select any of the other options from the drop-down menu. You are not limited to one choice - you can (one after the other) select any combination from
the drop down menu. You can drag the text boz anywhere you want it to be and you can resize it and adjust the opacity.
When you are done you can export the iamge as PDF - Export as PDF works also with only one image, so it doesn't have to be a "slide show" with several images.
2) In the Print Module the text options are more limited but you can add text in the "Phot Info" panel. Unfortunately you can't move the text around and can't change the size of the text box.
As in the Slide Show Module you can save the image from the Print Module by selecting "Print to File" which creates a JPG.

I need to insert article picture in article master data, can anybody suggest me how can i do that. In article master data Basic data tab page i am unable to see the screen data view. Is there any possible way to view the article picture by placing the cursor in the article number.

no no thats not true.
But at the moment the screens sequence fashion assigned to article type FASH has this subscreen activated.
For standard Retail users with screen sequence 23, the admin or consultant has to put the new screen on the basic data view.
The logic works for retail only, but if you follow the instruction for customer own subscreen (see note) you can copy the retail screen, adjust some standard PBO PAI modules and ready to go.
But remark, you will loos support if you use Retail functionality in MM systems.

You might be able to reuse some of your html in iWeb with the HTML-snippet:
Whenever I need to do something tricky in iWeb I insert a HTML-snippet from the drop down insert menu -> widgets (or the Media Browser Widgets palette), adjust its size and paste the HTML code into the snippet.
You will not be able to recreate a complete page this way, but you might be able to save some preformatted parts of your page, like elaborate tables and groups of pictures.

You can access the collection via the DataTable.Columns property.

I am a new macbook user forced to give up Digital Image Pro (winXP), and looking for a photo program that sorts BY NAME. REPEAT BY NAME.
I was ready to purchase PSE11, but luckily I read this forum and saw that in your infinite wisdom you spared every expense and removed this function.
I have no need for face recognition, type of photo, etc.
Should I abandon 15 years of files all sorted by where they were taken?
I think not. For you to do this to previous owners shows a blatant disregard for them.
I will look elsewhere and not to a Photoshop product.
Should you provide an update that corrects this I would consider installing it on my 2 new Apple machines. Hurry though......

When I insert a picture, i either have the choice of cropping the picture or having black bars on the sides. How can I insert a picture into imovie and not be dictated based on the aspect ratio. thanks

It appears that it is not possible to insert images in Adobe 9 Standard. There is no TouchUp Object Tool in the Advanced Editing Toolbar in the standard version. Only a TouchUp Text Tool. Is this not a basic function being able to add or change an image in a document? The tutorials all show this as a capability but they are also demonstrating in the Pro version of Acrobat. Is there a work around or have I been suckered into buying a product that doesn't quite meet my needs?

The Touch-Up Object tool is not available in Standard.
Adobe Acrobat is not meant to be a word processing program; it is meant to be a cross-platform method for document exchange. Changes are best made in the source program. While the answer to your question would not have been obvious from this list, it is a good reference for the difference between Acrobat products: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/matrix.html .
If for some reason it is not possible to edit the source file and create the pdf again, you can insert your image as a form button and then flatten it. A lot more work, but post if you want help with this.
--For other folks reading this thread, Adobe offers trials of its programs. Consider testing before buying.

The easiest is to use 3rd party apps like Photo Manager Pro; you can drag pictures to any position.

I open several docs on Sharepoint that I need to send out immediately and waste a lot of time saving it to my computer and than opening an email and attaching it and than deleting the file bc I don't need it - its already on Sharepoint where I can access it.

I have the exact same problem. I used to could do it without saving until I upgraded to a new version. I cannot figure out how to send it without saving.
