Is it Too Late to Change Our Minds?

My wife has been a Verizon plan member for about 2 and a half months longer than I (I'd been kinda resistant ever since the "Can you hear me now?" ads), and re-upped her contract, choosing an Alias 2 as her upgrade. A coupla months go by, and I renew, upgrading to the LG Ally. Now, the Alias is decent enough, but it doesn't take much time at all to realize how much the Ally leaves it in the dust. (Side note: the Ally does rock, folks - I highly recommend it!) The other phone doesn't adequately utilize her data plan (unlimited), and we're both kicking ourselves because my upgrade had a BOGO option that we couldn't take.
That being said, we've discovered this about 2 months after her worry-free zone has expired.  Is there any way to exchange/renegotiate her upgrade, or do we have to wait until 20 months go by or a spare $400 in change accumulates under the couch cushions? Is there still time to change the road we're on - or was Led Zeppelin wrong?
PS - the upside of this is that I've finally made a better choice than my wife. I think this is the first time since the wedding.

Unless you qualify for a special promotion, you will have to wait until one of your lines is eligible for an upgrade to get your wife a new phone.  In the meantime, she does not need the unlimited data plan on her Alias 2, scale that down to the $9.99/month 25MB plan if she's not using it.  You're just handing Verizon free money.
As the primary line on a Family Plan, YOUR line will qualify for an annual upgrade 12 months from your contract start date.  At that time, you could use that upgrade (which forfeits your New Every 2 credit and requires a $20 processing fee) to get a new phone for your wife.
If she wants it now though, you'll have to pay full retail price.

    I want to change over to the unlimited data plan. Right now I have a feature phone with the $10/25MB month plan. Is it too late to change if I'm going to switch online? I wanted to get a pre-owned iphone but I didn't know if I ordered one today or tommorrow and changed the plan(which you have to do anyway) would I be grandfathered into the unlimited plan or does it take effect when you physically activate the phone. If that's the case I guess I'll have to go to the verizon store tommorrow and get a brand new iphone.(the phone online wouldn't get here until Thursday or Friday) Does anyone know?   • Moving a too late phrase in a Logic Pro region there is no change

    Hi.
    When I cut, paste  and move a too late phrase in a Logic Pro region to an earlier spot it does not change anything when played back!
    May be it has to do with automation I have on it? It asks me move or don't move automation when I move it to the right spot, I tried both
    no change. And I thought I new something about Logic Pro?! Thank you for your time and patience.

    No.. it isn't likely to be automation...
    Is it the entire region you are trying to move or a part of it?
    If it is the entire region, just move the region in the arrangement window.
    If it is a part of the region, split the region (using the scissors tool) and move the part of the region you want to play back earlier or later, to the place in the arragement you want it to play.. If you want the part of the Automation for that part of the region to 'stick' with the moved region, select yes to the "Do you want to move automation' question.. if not, select no...
    Bear in mind the snap value controls exactly where you can drag the region to... It will automatically snap the beginning of the region to the nearest Bar for example, if you have snap set to Bar.... If it is set to Smart, it tries to make the decision for you which may or may not be what you want.. If it isn't..  set the snap value to an appropriate setting from it's drop down menu... depending on where exactly you want the start of the region to 'snap' to... nearest bar, tick and so on..

  • Tempo change delay! Why is Logic changing the tempo too late?

    Anyone a solution for this?
    My tempo change is set at e.g. 10.1.1.1 from 60 to 30 bpm. But logic is changing the tempo slightly delayed (about half a second too late.)
    It looks like logic is to slow to handle the tempo change on time:
    When I restart at 10.1.1.1 with the tempo allready set to 30 bpm, everything is fine. Tempo stays at 30 bpm and is not set to 60 bpm during this 0.5 seconds of delay.
    But when I start at an earlier position with a different tempo, I get the wrong tempo again during this 0.5 senconds after the set tempo change at 10.1.1.1

    Yeah that was it, I realised straight afterwards (I'm just impatient lol). Thanks anyway

  • Too late to start up with Aperture?

    I'm aware of both Aperture and iPhoto being trashed by Apple in the near future. I have been using iPhoto on my MacBook Pro since it was introduced and usually do some additional editing as required using Adobe Photoshop Elements. But now I'm starting to shoot in RAW, and iPhoto won't even take RAW files into it's library without converting them to Jpegs. I think the best bet for me would be to upgrade to Aerture but I also know it's no longer going to be supported. In fact, I've read that Apple is no longer interested in the entire advanced enthusiast and pro photography spaces. Thoughts and advice for me? I have been spoiled by the wonderful Apple apps that work so nicely. By the way, I haven't upgraded to Yosemite, nor do I intend to. I think in my case it will take me in the wrong direction.

    Reasons for migrating to Aperture of course depend upon your intended use.  As pointed out here, development for Aperture has ceased.  Apple has decided to migrate to another application, using cloud based back end for image storage.  There has been more than one or two posts of disappointment on this course of action.  In the end it's Apples decision however right or wrong the users believe that decision to be.  Your best bet is to look at the features, determine if those are of use to you, scan the threads here for comments, then determine if the cost is worth it. 
    As opined Aperture probably has about a year of life left.  After that you may be able to use it so long as you do not upgrade your operating system.  But make no mistake - there will not be an Aperture 4.x.  Nor, in my opinion will there be any significant (or heroic) efforts to fix what are now significant issues with Aperture.
    The trade off, in my opinion is not worth it.  Especially when you can get Lightroom now for a modest price.  That is if you don't mind paying a monthly usage fee and really don't need facial recognition.  The former being the pricing plan Adobe is moving to and the latter being completely absent from Lightroom.  I don't know of any other viable professional package on the market right now.  On the upside, Adobe products do support IPTC extended metadata which Apple never adopted.  Understandable, it was an Adobe push - but the data stored is pretty nice.  Mostly dealing with model and release information (and others, read the IPTC specs if you are interested) - if you deal with that kind of thing.
    As for my experiences - Aperture use to be an incredible product.  Especially with the introduction of Facial Recognition - which is now horribly broke.  Here are some of my experiences.
    FACES:
    - Aperture now scans my entire photo library for new faces in every image every time the application fires up.  This isn't a problem if you have a few hundred images.  Once you start hitting about ten thousand (10,000) it becomes a nuisance.  It takes about 45 seconds.  Multiply that time out based on your library size.
    - Aperture now rescans every identified face for a match, every time you identify a new face.  Ok, I get this process.  You have marked this guy as John Smith, now we are going to look for possible matches for John Smith.  The only problem is that it appears to being in every face which it cannot justify as someone else.
    - Aperture often double tags a face.  To explain this you have to understand what the software is (probably) doing and how it records facial locations.  First it applies some order of facial recognition.  It  looks for things which appear to be faces.  Eyes, nose, mouth.  It then draws a box around that area.  You have the option to select that boxed area and in the upper left hand corner click on the "x" to close the box.  Except when two boxes are exactly on top of each other.  It's maddening.  You cannot get rid of either box.  Nor, can you identify the name of the person in both iterations of the box.  If you understand all the places where you can name people (every software package has multiple places to do the same task) then you can select one of the boxes and tell Aperture that this area "is not a face".  But since you are now telling the AI that the information contained within the defined area is not a face (when in fact it is) you are setting yourself up for a real HAL9000 moment.  And if you don't get that reference, you are simply confusing the system.  Especially when you leave box 2 in place and give that person a name.  So is it a face or isn't it?  Aperture appears to be using both decisions (is and isn't a face) in future iterations of facial identification (finding faces in an image) and facial recognition (is this face Johnny Smith or Jane Smith).
    PLACES:
    - A number of folks have reported problems with the geolocation of images.  With the upgrade to the latest OS I have also begun to experience this problem.  Images which I shot in my home studio were correctly mapped within a few feet of my home.  With Aperture 3.6 many of them are not even on the same block.  I actually have photographs which were previously (properly) mapped in central Maryland, that with the 3.6 upgrade are now tagged in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.  Yes you can manually move them to their correct location - but again, thats great with a few hundred images.  Thousands becomes a real nightmare.
    This same geomapping problem has reared its head in faces as well with some users reporting the placement of the facial identification box in the wrong location on the image.  Far be it from me to disparage software developers but it's almost as if the crew forgot that the image coordinates (whether for dropping a box on a photo or a pin on a map) start at 0,0 being the upper left corner of the display. /snark
    STORAGE:
    - A couple "upgrades" back Aperture migrated a reasonable and easily understandable storage methodology in which photos were filed (on your hard disk) in a directory architecture based on the date/time of image.  So, if something horrible happened a savvy user could open the Aperture package, navigate through the directory and recover lost or damaged data.  Not anymore.  I defy anyone to explain the system now.  It appears to have something to do with the ingest date, solar or lunar cycle and a hashed algorithm of some programmers mothers birthdate which is then translated into an XML filename.  All that to say - good luck finding your photo IF you need to AND you are storing images internal to the Aperture database.  But lets get serious about filing images under a directory system based on import date/time.  This is great - if you import your photos on the date of the shoot.  But, if you go on a two week trip of Europe and ingest all your photos the day you get home, well that's not too bad.  A year later when you have to recover all your photos from a significant system failure and end up ingesting 10,000 photos on 15 May 2014 that is another story entirely.  Now, good luck finding your photos on the hard disk (if you need to that is).
    SECURITY:
    - Apple applied the "sandbox" theory to image security.  Basically in a nutshell all your photos are locked from editing by only approved applications.  So don't even think you are going to download some awesome script to do some wonderful task and have it work.  Sorry.  It took me months of phone calls with apple support before one of those on the line even thought to walk me through my editing process and determined the script/app I was using was not apple approved and this was causing my problem.  I get it, new risks in computer data and all.  But there comes a point when you have taken security so far as to lock the user out of the loop.
    CRASHES:
    - We all have them, and they all happen at the worst possible moments.  In the past 2 days I have been working in Aperture with my data and experience Aperture crashes about every 45 minutes or so.  Yes, I have repaired my permissions, yes I have repaired the database and Yes I have rebuilt the database.  It just appears to be another nuisance of Aperture that wasn't there a couple years ago.  I have even gone so far as to completely uninstall Aperture, reload it from scratch and re-ingest all my images (that is how I discovered the whole ingest date/time versus shoot date/time storage della described above).  My entire library now (in the Aperture Package) falls under a single year (2014) when previously it was spread across 40 years (from the 70's to current date).  Yes, I have images from the 70's in aperture. I scanned a lot of film over the years.  Regardless, I could never track down exactly why the crashes were happening.  Some feedback from Apple would be nice - I have after all must have sent them a few hundred crash reports by now.  My RAM is good (yup, I have tested it), drive space is fine and I have plenty of it so ..... Im left scratching my head.
    Aside from all of that - I loved Aperture, while it lasted.  I will be saddened by it's loss and to date I haven't heard anything yet which gives me hope about Photos.  As someone who is occasionally paid, and who occasionally pays to shoot (read into that what you will) I refuse to store my image library on anyone else cloud.  I have my own storage architecture which has worked fine for me.  I haven't lost an image now in the many many years I have been using it.  If you shoot a lot I recommend you look into Drobo.  I was an early adopter and have never looked back.  I have two 16TB units on my desk - one for live data, one for TimeMachine.
    Cloud storage is simply too risky.
    1.  You are reliant on too many factors which are (a) out of your control and (b) are run by people who really don't care about your data or your business.  Not to mention the constant finger pointing.  If a switch goes out somewhere in Nebraska I hope you had a local copy of your data because now you can't work.  But then again, that defeats the whole purpose of cloud storage doesn't it?  How many Apple users signed up and put up web pages in what is now the cloud? You remember those days?  You data is your data and will always be there?  Until we change our ToS and now longer support personal websites.
    2. Pricing.  Seriously look at the pricing.  The cloud tops out at 1TB for $20/month.  Not bad.  What do I do with the other 15TB of data I have?  Oh, and after 3 months I could have purchased a Western Digital portable USB 1TB.  If Moore was right (and so far he has been pretty close) that 1TB next year will only cost me $30 at the local Best Buy.  If you can find it.  You know 6TB drives come out this fall?  Only a couple hundred dollars each.  About 1 years payments on the cloud. Now I realize I might get slammed there - not everyone has $60 extra dollars for a portable 1TB drive.  But I am assuming you do since you are tinkling about spending $70 for an app which is only viable for another year.
    3. Cloud storage really?  I don't know about you but the last time I ran an all day shoot I used up about 128GB of card space which took me a couple hours of transfer time (card to local disk).  Now, how long would it take me to run that up to the cloud before I can use it.  And that was on an older camera which was half the megapixels of what I am shooting now.  So, 1/4 of my storage maximum being transferred up to the cloud after only one shoot.  Awesome.  Ill get a coffee, take a road trip, and in a couple days my images will be ready for first draft editing.  Meanwhile my client will be ..... strumming his fingers?  Don't worry though sir - a couple more days and your proofs will be available online.  For everyone with any mad skillz to hack into.  The only secure computer is one not online. 
    So, there are the down sides from my perspective.  Yup, it's one sided.  If you want to know the good stuff (and there is a lot of good stuff) just read the sales brochures.  It's fine product - so long as you understand the limitations.  And overall I am happy with it.  And I will, again, be saddened when it leaves the market. 
    Aperture's days are numbered.  I am past denial and isolation. I guess this places me in the anger stage.  There is no use in bargaining.  It is Apples decision and they have made it.  Depression is next.  I doubt I will make it to acceptance - unless there are some significant changes to Photos and I don't see that in the works.  Apple appears to be dropping their professional line of products and pushing to the general market.

  • Too late to buy warranty?

    Just bought a Dell Studio MT Desktop Q8200 November 30 (3 days ago). I did not buy an  extended warranty at the time. I wasn't aware of the arrangement Dell had w/Best Buy about warranties until today and I would like to buy a extended warranty now. Is it too late to do this?

    Congratulations on your new Dell desktop.  I purchased one a few months ago in our stores and thus far I have been quite pleased.
    The good news is that you do have 14 days from date of purchase to buy the Performance Service Plan.  Keep in mind, the store may ask you to bring the tower in to have it inspected to ensure that it is in like new condition.  Your best option is to contact the store prior to driving there and receive clarity from them.

I have been pretty clueless about many of the computer applications I've heard of, but I've learned a bit by doing what you suggested.  I was able to "fix" my iphoto and a I got a few other nice changes after updating the 3 free updates that were available to me.  Thanks so much! - One thing that was so wonderful about getting my iphoto "back" was being able to  share my photos with my Dad for this weekend-during his 88th birthday! 
    I'm glad I found you in our "community".  Hopefully,  I can learn enough to help others too, eventually.

    Too late.  According to the Refund Policy of the App Store (which is the same for the iTunes Store), once you acquire it, it's like opening up the box and using it.  The product is loaded on your computer, and it's registered to you.  You know that almost all Apple Pro products have a 30 day trial policy, so you could have tried it for 30 days.

  • The dealer changed our plan without letting us know about disadvantage.

    An authorized dealer changed our plan without letting us know what is going to be changed, and we didn't even know they are changing our plan on new contract, we just found out, they do not want to answer. I want to know if we can get back our old plan, as the contract was signed under false information.
    This is the story happened today:
    My mom, is the master holder of our VZW account, we've been using verizon for years and years, and we first got our smartphone when Verizon just started selling iphone 4, we ordered it online when it was just released.
    The plan we had was family plan with unlimited data.
    We did not used data that much for the most of the time, but we did used it a lot for some month - thanks to unlimited plan.
    We were trying to keep our unlimited data plan, even when my mom lost her iphone 4, she didn't connect with her old phone (not the smart one) so that our unlimited data plan would not be changed.
    The dealer we made contract for iphone 4 has moved, or disappeared, i don't know, so my mom had to find another verizon dealer who speaks Korean,
    because she doesn't speak English at all - but she's the one who take care of the bills and this kind of stuffs as she has more available time than me.
    I wanted iphone 5 when it was released, but wasn't really sure about paying for it to get upgraded because iphone 4 was doing pretty well enough for me.
    Then she found this dealer in Korea Town ( Ultimate Wireless - at 6th), and she told me that they could get us the newest smartphone only for $75 -
    iphone 5 for me, and Samsung note 3 for her.
    I was like - 'Samsung maybe offer some sort of special rate, but I'm pretty sure Apple wouldn't sell their just-newly-released-phone for much low price than 2yr contract price.'
    and my mom was like ' i don't know but they said they can do it for sure' - so i was like Ok, why not .
    I guess that's about an year and half ago.
    Now iphone 6 is here, and i looked up on my verizon account and Sadly, my contract ends next May or something.
    So I told my mom about Verizon's iphone trade-in offer and I feel  sad about that I am not eligible for it right now.
    My mom happened to visit this dealer again to add a new line in our plan, and she asked about that trade-in offer and mention that her daughter (me)
    is sad that she is not eligible.
    And that evening, my mom told me that they said they can do this trade-in thing for me.
    and i was like what? how?
    and she was like 'how do i know? they said they can do it so just told me to bring the old phone'
    Well my mom, is 54 years old Korean born woman, who doesn't know about technology, English, or any complicated stuffs.
    She doesn't even know what the term 'trade-in' means, so that I even had to explain her like it's an offer from verizon you give them old iphone 4 or above, and they give you $200 certificate. But only for new 2yr contracts.
    She was like 'well, she said she ordered it already so just go pick it up'
    She normally picks up the phone for me (since she's always around K-town, but im not) but today, I happened to have free time on afternoon, and she had some appointment so I had to go visit the dealer to pick up the phone.
    So I went in, they were nice and kind, recognized my mom by mentioning her name.
    She, the dealer, was a bit busy helping out other customer so I had to wait for a while -
    While i was waiting for her, I just looked around inside of the store - like TV screens promoting new phones, and new plans and stuffs.
    Finally she got back to me and brought out the iphone 6 from back -
    and she was like
    'Not sure if you know, but your contract has not been end - so it's going to be like returning and getting back with the EDGE' (speaking Korean)
    If i didn't see the 'EDGE' plan stuffs from the TV screen, i probably would just go ok- ok- ok- thanks.
    But when she just mentioned 'EDGE', i felt something is not right.
    so I asked her, what exactly the 'EDGE' is, and what is being changed.
    she hesitated a bit -and said
    'Um... so you now have 6 GB data.. and ..'
    i was like what? no no. we have unlimited data plan since our very first smartphone - and we never changed plan and tried keep the plan when even we lost one of our phone.
    then she was like
    "um...but..it seems like it changed.."
    SO i asked When did it changed.
    and she was like "i don't know. But you guys use only 3GB anyway"
    I was like ' well, that's not important how much we actually use our data. the thing is we never changed our plan to keep the unlimited data plan'
    and she just ignored it and move to next issue - setting up the new iphone 6 for my number.
    she was like 'You don't need to give us the old phone. the payments will be billed to your statement and it's going to be.."
    She was saying everything quickly and just briefly in Korean. She sounds like YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING FOR THE PHONE.
    I didn't even know there is such thing like payment plan for buying a phone BEFORE I saw it on TV SCREEN while i was waiting.
    And those promoting screens was made in English, while most of their customers are Korean who doesn't know English much.
    and i was like "what? what payment? Are you saying I don't have to pay for the phone OR are you saying I'm paying for the phone every month?"
    She was like " uh... I mean.. there's certain payment amount you are paying for iphone 5 currently, and this plan, there will be about $10 difference for the phone payment...and.."
    I'm a person who raised in Korean till highschool I speak Much better Korean than English, but I was hard to understand what she was exactly saying
    because she was saying everything so complicated.
    So I tried to clarify: "Ok. so this phone - I am not getting it for free. Right?"
    then she was like 'uh...yes - it's now free but you don't have to pay anything right now'
    So I clarified again " so that means, I'm buying the phone. not free. right?"
    and she was like "uh..but it's not that you buy this right now. It's about $30... so.."
    She then was saying this very unclearly so that she sounded like the phone only costs $30.
    "then why did you tell my mom that you can to trade-in deal for me?" I asked.
    then she was like "I didn't tell her I can do trade-in. It's not trade-in"
    So I told her" OK, as you know, she doesn't know about anything about this kind of stuffs. she doesn't even know the word 'trade-in' in English. She said she asked you about we bringing you the old phone and you get us $200 gift card so we would use that card to buy iphone 6 and she told me that you said YES YOU CAN DO IT, SO BRING THE IPHONE 4"
    She paused for a while, and I asked her again "and what's up with the change of plan? Our plan was unlimited data. Did you tell my mom about changing the plan? If she knew plan's being changed, she would not do this with you, or she always asks me before signing a contract if there's any change. All i remember is you are getting us decent phones only for $75. How can you explain about this?"
    I was amazed after hearing her answer
    "I don't know"
    and her kind attitude was gone, she was like 'i don't have nothing to do or say'
    I was so mad, told her to cancel the iphone 6, and I just left the store.
    I'm not a person related to the law, but I've met some lawyer few times with my friends, and I remember hearing this story about fraud -
    although the customer signed the contract on a stack of paper with small letters saying all about the terms and condition -
    if the customer was been told differently than the actual contract info by seller,and the seller took advantage from it, then that could be counted as fraud.
    I felt so conned and so sorry for my mom. I told her the story and she's mad, too.
    My mom and I will look up the old statement and check records to see if we were paying for our phone during current contract and visit the dealer again if we find something odd.
    But as from the story above, the dealer goes like she doesn't know anything about plan changes (even it was something she did) - so I don't really wanna talk about it with her.
    So I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to go back to our old plan in the case when the plan was changed without user's acknowledgement.
    Sorry to let you read this long story, sorry about temper.. but does anybody have idea on this sort of cases?

    yes I knew it was too good to be true, so i was worried but their answer was don't worry it can be done, we are the authorized dealer.
    If they fully told us about it, I wouldn't even upgrade my phone and just kept it up with my iphone 4 which I think is still working good for me.
    ahh... I just feel so bad
    I mean i might be ok with 6gb as we actually don't use that much for the most of the time, but still. This is wrong.
    And they tried to do exactly same thing again. and just ignored the issue when I brought it up.
    The reason I'm mad and want to get back my old plan is mainly because I feel we've been conned and lost something that we would not have lost without knowing it - and they knew about it all but hid it.
    I don't know.. not just about losing the plan... but I think this is so wrong.

    The same Excel less complex is opened without problema, so I think that if is posible increase the timeout or  a similar parameter the problema will fixed.
    Does Anyone know if is posible change this value at Central Administration SharePoint?

    Based on your description, I need to verify the things below:
    What did you use to open your excel file in the browser? Did you use Excel service or Office Web Apps?
    What’s the size of the excel file? Is it very large?
    Can this file be opened in client application (Office Excel in the your computer)?
    If you used Excel service to open the excel file in the browser and the file is a little large, then I recommend to re-configure the Maximum Workbook Size and Maximum request duration in the Excel Service application in Central Administration.
    By default, Excel service application is supported to load file which is less than 10 MB in the browser.
    So if the file is larger than 10 MB, please Go into Trusted File Locations > click the Address > scroll down to set the Maximum request duration to a bigger value in Session Management and set Maximum Workbook Size to a bigger value in Workbook Properties.
    If above cannot work, could you please check the ULS log for more detailed errors?
    For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS.

    Here is a KB that discusses that error:
    KB25553 "There are too many PIN changes associated with this account (Error ID: 30801)" is encountered when attempting to login to BlackBerry App World
    As you see, the way to resolve it is clear, and you seem to have reached some folks in your attempts that were not able to resolve it. Nevertheless, you should not allow them to fob you off...insist that the KB instructs the resolution path and insist that they make good on that.

  • Forgot to switch to Point Banking after Elite, made a purchase; too late?

    I know that it's never too late to switch to Point Banking, but I was wondering if there's any way to bank points from a certificate that was earned after achieving Elite status.
    What happened was that I lost Elite status at the beginning of this year, so I was back to certificates, after having been on Banking for a number of years in a row.  I achieved Elite status around October, but forgot to switch back to Banking.  Picked up a PS4 GTA bundle and some other things on Black Friday, and then I received an e-mail today informing me that I had a certificate issued and waiting.
    Is there any way to convert that certificate back into points and just bank them?  I was eligible for banking before the purchase, so I'm hoping I can do that, but I understand if I can't.

    If points were converted into a certificate before you officially changed your certificate preference to BANK, then there may not be much we can do.  Once a certificate has been issued, it cannot be cancelled and the points added back into the account.  If you were to redeem the certificate and process a return or cancellation, then the certificates point value would repost to your account within 3 to 6 business days.

    Thanks for the reply. The project I am working on is a test project for a customer. They could potentially want a number of their educational subjects presented as an interactive text book. The intent of this first project with them is to establish a logical workflow that will allow us to efficiently estimate costs and allow for review throughout the design process. Having worked with customers on creative projects in the past I can anticipate that they will want a number of changes made once they see a working version of the interactive text book.
    It is a grim reality that no project can be fully edited and planned prior to working on it and I know revisions and changes are always made once the customer can see their product. It is ok with me if there is no easy way to pass the text back and forth from the customer and me without having to reformat everything but I just want to know that is the way it works in order to provide a realistic time estimate for the project.
    My hope was I would be able to export the formatted text, allow them to make edits and then reimport that formatted text. The style sheets I am using are from one of the iBooks Author templates.
    Do you know if there is a way to use (or export ) this style sheet so it can be used in a Pages Document?
    Or, would the best option be to have the customer install iBooks Author? This would require the customer to have a mac and the software so it doesn't work for all cases.
    Another idea I was considering would be to export the book as a PDF and have the customer add markup and notes to the PDF.
    All of these options do not seem too great to me.
    I am open to any ideas.

    Yosemite will run on that computer. Try quitting the App Store and then control click on the installer - Move to Trash. The installer should be in your Applications folder.
