I Man Andrews completed my BE Mechnical engg and is trying to do sap abap from ATOS banglore I heard that training is good but need to know about the placement opportunities that they avail after completion of course and also opportunity for a fresher to get good job after certification

Yes offcourse... Most of the BE college freshers started their work in SAP ABAP only. The big companies recruit freshers and train them on Book Camp or Green field inbound SAP ABAP training.
Go ahead and start the SAP ABAP certification or else just ask any of your friends, they can help you to get in software companies where they can train SAP ABAP and put you in SAP project. You can reduce this way some cost from your side and get a job also.

Hello Samrat,
It is not possible to provide guidance on what career path you should take. This is a conversation you need to have with a Career Planner or perhaps one of your professors. You should follow the path you are most interested in, be it a functional role or a technical role. Ideally you may want to consider getting some work experience in both fields, and then determine which area you wish to pursue.
You state you have an MBA in HR & System....System what?? System development? Technology? Programming? Data Warehousing? Even HR is a vast area within the SAP world. We have Payroll, Recruiting, Self Services, Compensation, Time Management, Learning Management Systems, etc. Most consultants select one or two areas to pursue. There is no such thing as a single person who knows the complete SAP HR solution...it's just too big!
I will suggest that you consider taking an SAP HR course so that you can get an idea as to how large the application is. There are lots of courses available in e-learning. I would recommend either SAPHRE or HR050E to start. Once you have completed one of these, you'll be in a better position to decide what you want to do, or at least decide what you don't want to do.

Guidance For Doing Certification in SAP ABAP through Online Training.

Happy New Year to All the Members of SAP Community Network,
I am 2014 MCA (Master of computer applications) Pass Out . I have completed my 6 months industrial training in SAP ABAP From an unauthorized institute (DUCAT ,Noida) while doing my MCA. But, now i am planning to do the SAP ABAP certification from an Authorized Study center like ATOS ,Delhi . I CHOOSE OLT(ONLINE TRAINING) FOR 3 MONTHS FROM ATOS , DELHI.
QUESTIONS:
1. How Complete scenario of online training going on like yes a candidate have to complete 200 hours of training and its a online process no instructor is provided as the candidate who register for the course have full excess for 3 months for study material or ppt provided online or is it for a stipulated time period ?
2. What Do's and Dont's a candidate have to follow while undergoing OLT ?
3. What Is the prerequisite for SAP ABAP Crtification through OLT like we know candidate must have a basic knowledge of any programming language.
but upto what extend ?
4. How much time a candidate must devote and how a candidate prepare a blue print or a time table for preparing for there certification exam as well as having in depth knowledge of ABAP.

Wow, that sounds like pretty bad service from your training centre. I would take my business elsewhere.
Anyway, I might be able to help a little questions 3 and 4. I did my ABAP certification a few years ago.

To learn ABAP you need to know programming basics. It's not much different to other languages. To become certified you need broad ABAP & SAP knowledge and (ideally) some real experience.
"4. How much time a candidate must devote and how a candidate prepare a blue print or a time table for preparing for there certification exam as well as having in depth knowledge of ABAP"
It took me about 6 months (part-time) of rereading the course notes, practicing on sample tests, and making up sample questions.

Program RSAQR3TR is the standard program.
You can simply download your infoset/query from your source system and upload the file into your destination system.
It should works.
If, for some reason you are not authorized to upload/download, you can create a transport and import it using the usual way.

What is best for my career: Sap ABAP or Sap BI

I am Rajesh, done my bachelor degree in Information Technology,
having 4 years of Exp as a Mainframes Programmer in a Banking Software company.
my job containts
30 % understanding the product
40 % Analysis
30 % Programming
my career Goal is to get SAP job in Abroad(US/UK/AUS) for that i am planning like below:
First i want to gain some minimum(8-10 Months) Exp in India by
Choosing one Best(or)Hot Cake Module in SAP, which matches any one of 3 points
1)Currently that module should have more demand less supply.
2)Should have good Future
3)it should not be much vast Because need to expertise Early
I already Trained and good in SAP-Core ABAP,
but just Core ABAP is not enough to get expertise in ABAP, because i need to add it with
OOPS, Webdynpro, Workflow ETC.
even i Trained in all the above, it is difficult to be Expert in 1 YR.
and Hard to get job in US/UK/AUS.
So i am planning to go with SAP-BI for below Reasons
1) SAP BI is not that much Vast compare to ABAP for becoming an Expert on it
2) for Skill Set ABAP+BI, can have good openings
3) SAP-BI is a techno functional Job, where ABAP is not a final Destination.
4) in Future, BI will help to get into HANA.
I request you to guide me, whether my decision towards my Goal is correct or not,
if not, please give valuable Suggestions to reach my destination.

as per as your selection of module, its a good mix, but i have a few words that i wants to share with you. Being a developer in sap abap i have come across some points where many indivisuals get strucked by asking what is next.
Started with sap abap you will have many options to go ahead, as you have seen that the combination of BI along with ABAP has an added advantages, and yes later on you can move towards HANA, one of the major sap module in which the database of sap persist in furure.
As far as i concern, if you wants to be in technical stream of sap you will have UI5, Webdynpro, Workflow, BW/ BI, HANA etc, so you may go ahead with these options, but as you have told that you wants to get hands on these things in one year, i think you have to devote in abap as much as possible
what you will require to know the syntax and semantics used in SAP, along with all the stuffs associated with it, once you will get familiar with it, you can play as you wants.
But one thing more is that its not mandatory to have sap abap knowledge to learn other technologies, you can learn without abap, but if yiu have hands on in abap somehow it will boost your future in related technilogies.
So, finally your decision is on right track, what you will need is to get it as your passion.

I am very much interested to start my career in SAP but not sure of where to start from. I am located in US and have entry level knowledge in SAP BW. I am Abhilash,presently pursuing Master's in Computer Science, and interested to learn SAP XI.But i do not have any experience in IT field, and i do not have knowledge about .net and Java technolgies.I'm a bit confused whether i have to go for SAP XI or not ?

First let me welcome you to the XI world...........
Well when working with XI our XI system doesnot know who is a fresher or who is experienced. So you dont worry about that. If you want you can go ahead and learn XI.
To learn XI, if you know the basics of JAVA or ABAP or XML that would be an added advantage.
Since you are a fresher my suggestion would be learn ABAP also along with XI.
Regarding the best consultants in US there are so many. Kindly check with your friends or in the internet.

Just out of curiosity - why switch to SAP in the first place?
Yes, if you are good at programming, then yes ABAP is the way to go. But please remember that while searching for jobs you will still be considered a fresher - in ABAP. You JAVA background has very little - if not zero - significance when it comes to experience.
Of course you can go ahead and explore the ABAP world. You can download the trial version from the site and start pulling a few levers to see if you are comfortable.

Error in Posting the data from SAP ABAP Progra,

I am sending sap data from ABAP Program,
I called RFC in the Function Module and given the RFC Destination,
While I am Executing it is going to short Dump.
Data is not posting.

execute FM once without RFC destination.
now collect the data in intermediate variable.
now execute FM with RFC destaination passing collected data as input.
second RFC is genrally treated as dummy which is used only for sending data to XI,it doesnt do any "function" as such.
this should solve your problem gurnteed.
if you still find short dump please paste your abap code,ll get back to you.
reason for short dump:
record set is high and executing module at remote system at a stretch doesn't work sometimes.

How to create a table in MS ACCESS database and Upload SAP database table data into MS ACCESS table using ABAP programming?
Explain: My client requirement is " If he/she runs a ABAP Program, that will create a table and upload data into MS ACCESS Database table in background. "
Could you please give the solution or code? I know the program RIACCESS and I went through the SAP Note 583698.
Is this only solution for this? Or Any other possibilities?

It is not possible to create tables in a non SAP schema from inside SAP.
The SAP-Oracle license also does not allow you to create the table (see note 581312):
the following actions, among other things, are therefore forbidden at database level:
Creating database users
Creating database segments
Querying/changing/creating data in the database
Using ODBC or other SAP external access methods

database from SAP. See program RIACCESS for details. You have to establish
an RFC destination PS_ACCESS_1 and 2.
There are then a couple of function modules. Go to SE37 and put in

For the MS-Access interface SAP delivers 4 files:

HTTPS communication for Adobe Offline form with SAP ABAP WAS

Hi Experts,
Can we use HTTPS communication method to call a SAP ABAP Web Service from an Adobe offline form?
Example : I have a SUBMIT button in my Adobe offline form and when clicked, it populates a sales order number in the form.
Here my SAP ABAP server from where it reads the info is using HTTPS communication method. Now if i use the same service with HTTP it works fine but if i switch the service to use HTTPS it shows me an error "Error attempting to read from file. <https://FQDN/<service name> .
I am using self-signed SSL server certificate from SAP ABAP server. But here i also see a certificate error in my browser (IE 7.0) saying "Untrusted Certificate". Is this the reason for my above issue?
I could not find any post in SDN giving me the answer.

The Certificates are already imported into the Trusted Certificates Section. But the real Issue is regading the Adobe Offline forms. If I open the Adobe Offline forms in the Adobe reader 9.0 and the Web Service call is made based on the Https:// . It saying "Error attempting to Read the file". The Fully qualified domain name is also provided VA. I have tried to import the certificates to Adobe Reader's - Trust Identities but still it is not working . If I switch the webservice authentication method to Http:// then it would work. ADS is already configured with SSL. And the HTTPS:// based WebService embedded in the Adobe Interactive Form is working ,if the form is Online in the Browser (integrated in the Webdynpro Abap UI element).
Is there any other way to Add SSL Certificates to Adobe Reader , so that Https:/ based webservice will work if the Form is opened in Adobe Reader 9.0.
