Is the XSLT format-number function supported by XMLType.transform()

I am trying to use the XSLT format-number function in a stylesheet via myXMLType.transform(myXSL) without any luck. For example, <xsl:value-of select="format-number($myNum,'#,###.00')/>. This works ok under the java based XSLT engine.
Is format-number supported by XML DB?
I am running 9.2.0.5.

Seems to be something to do with a new security check they have put in the system that does not work correctly and support is totally incapable of helping me out.

I've been jumping through the hoops with Apple Support on this issue....first time I called they said I should try updating from IOS 4.0 to 4.1....tried that and the issue still persisted...then I called back to update the ticket and get the next steps...they said that the Bank is rejecting the request for verification and that is why it keeps prompting (which doesn't make sense since the confirmation seems to go through successfully). The rep also contacted the iTunes dept and had them run the verify manually and said the bank rejected it. The next hoop they want me to jump through is calling the bank to verify that the account is in good standing and inquire about the rejected requests. I'm fairly certain the bank account is in good standing....will verify of course....but I find it hard to believe that all the people who have posted here, plus countless others that are experiencing the same issue but haven't, are ALL having banking issues in the last 24hrs...I'm more convinced there is a disconnect on the back end between iTunes and Financial institutions...
I'm not sure I buy in to everything I was told...he also told me he has had several calls on this issue and they were all told to check with their banks. He could not verify that any of his past calls were resolved. Needless to say I'm not 100% believing everything he told me....weak response from Apple support on this issue so far.

I have deleted these songs and downloaded them from iTunes Match (they were "matched" and not "uploaded" files). However, it still does not work.

I have the same issue with 8 songs in my library. All are "Matched" and I've tried deleting them and redownloading them from iTunes Match, but they won't play in iTunes or transfer to any of my iDevices.

Format Number Function

I am facing a problem in Message Mapping. In the Arithmatic Category we have used the function Format Number. The Number Format is 0.0
Decimal Separator is (BLANK)
In this case If I input any value say 8 or 8.0 then the output should be 8.0. However, I am getting 8,0(COMMA Separator) as the output. This causes the Mapping to Fail.
This problem occurs on one landscape where as on the other landscape it works fine and gives the output as expected.
Can anybody help me on that?? Am I missing anything in configuration or are there some special settings for it??

if you put the decimal separator as blank then it will use the . as a decimal separator.
and when you use the ny other symbol in the decimal separator then it will use that sysmob as decimal separator.
so please check in ur format number properties what u ahve given.

Format Number function in PI 7.10 SPS 7

for those of you who used the FormatNumber function inside the Message Mapping, there is a quite strange change.
You must enter a decimal delimiter. Inside release 7.00 this was not a must. The error message you will receive from the mapping is a little, well, unusefull:

Well on my side the lead to several problems, because I had to assign fixed number length (without decimal digits).
The only solution I had on this is to build an own user function in java doing the same.
These are the two parameters given to the function:
numberString
numberFormat
You have to import this:
import java.text.*;
And that's the code:
int numberInteger = Integer.parseInt(numberString.trim());
DecimalFormat piNumberFormat = new DecimalFormat(numberFormat);
return piNumberFormat.format(numberInteger);

XI / PI Format Number issue

When I process the value 782.785 through format number 0.00 I'm expecting a value 782.79 but the standard Format number function returns 782.78. Standard function appears to round to a higher digit only if the value is greater than 5 like '.786' to '.79' and not rounds up the value for 5.
What could be done to achieve this functionality? is it possible without a UDF ?

Round up and Round down requirements is not fully feasible to implement using standard function. Use this logic in your UDF...
If you declare input as string and return the value also string for the decimal number then below logic
String str = "782.666";
double d = Double.valueOf(str);
DecimalFormat de = new DecimalFormat("###.##");
return (Double.valueOf(de.format(d))).toString();
Note: if you declared input as double or float and return the value double then the below logic will work.
double d = 782.666;
DecimalFormat de = new DecimalFormat("###.##");
return Double.valueOf(de.format(d));

Adobe Flash Media Live Encode support the HDV format?

I have a Sony PMW-EX1 that I would like to use as a video source. However when I select the device (connected via iLink / Firewire) I get an error saying the video format is not supported. Sony have decided to only output HDV on this camera, and therefore I cannot 'downgrade' the output to DV.
Do Adobe Flash Media Live Encode support the HDV format?

Can you check if firewall is on machine where Flash Media Server is installed? I mean it needs to off or you need to allow port 1935 and 80 so that you allow incoming traffic to FMS on this ports.

What are all the output formats supported by Airprint?

I would like to understand ALL the output formats that are supported from Apple to Airprint enabled devices. And/or if this is more specific to the Airprint device being printed to (HP/Epson/etc). Purchased LR6 upgrade, when entering SN for LR4, message " The serial number you entered is invalid. please try again. if the problem persists, contact Customer support. ". SN entered for existing product has been checked and is correct.

SQL Functions Supported by RDBMS Adapter

Where can I find the list of SQL Functions supported by RDBMS Adapter?
I am retrieving date from Oracle 9i using RDBMS Adapter 8.1 SP2.However when I use any SQL Function (like to_char, to_date) in select query the service creation fails with a parsing exception.
Please help me resolving this.I want a date to be selected as a string in a particular format.

Sorry,just got the resolution in Known Limitations of the adapter Release Notes. Actually we have to create a service of arbitory sql for using SQL Functions in the query.

Video that used to sync now "format is not supported"

After some odd behavior from my 160GB iPod Classic, I have restored it and am in the process of reloading it. I have one TV episode I ripped that is no longer syncing over to my iPod though. The video worked yesterday on the iPod and today it won't sync. I am receiving the "video format is not supported by the iPod" error. Any ideas on why this would happen all of a sudden? What the problem might be? How to easily resolve the problem w/o a re-rip? Thanks! The details of the video follow:

Add a new format number for everyone in webi

Hi,
I would like to add specific format number and date in webi for all my users.
I would like to add them in the window "Format number" in the custom.
I know it is possible to add in a report but when you start a new report you lose it. I want persistent format number.
I check the "defaultconfig.xml" file, But I didn't see anything about format number, I think this default config file is more about the skin : bg color, image, cell colors, borders .....
Any idea to do so ?

hi,
You can set 'object format' in Universe for selected objects.
Go to Universe.
select the required object.
Right click and select 'Object Format'.
whenever user uses these objects in WEBI report creation, format is preserved.

I cannot load videos purchased from iTunes onto my iPhone 4. Says video format is not supported.

I have most recent version OSX, iTunes and my iPhone 4 is up-to-date on software as well.
I just purchased, for my son, The Adventures of Chuck and Friends from the iTunes store. Downloaded the first season and it plays fine on computer. However I get a message that it was not copied onto the iPhone 4 because the video format is not supported by the iPhone. I have updated the software on the iPhone 4 and still get this message. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I tried to do the converting the Date Format using the XSLT (2.0 version) functions like (MonthFromDate,YearFromDate,DayFromDate),but I am getting the Transformation Exception Error in the Interface Mapping.(i.e. <b>javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException: -> com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException: Function with name 'month-from-date' not found in context library</b>).
In Stylus Studio that XSLT Mapping Program is Working Fine,but iam getting the error while testing the Interface mapping using that XSLT mapping program.

XI XSLT processor doesn't support XSLT 2.0.
You'll have to stick to XSLT 1.0 or implement your functionallity in a XSLT template or Java function and use it in XSLT with java enhancement.

XSLT Processor Bug? format-number() on large numbers

For numbers 100,000,000.00 and higher, I'm getting extra digits and rounding errors.
How can I use some custom Java code in the XSL stylesheet so the correct value is displayed (i.e. w/o rounding)? I'm getting a value of 100000000.00 and I need to insert the commas. Sometimes the correct value is displayed, other times, additional numbers are appended and the amount is rounded.

The XSLT processor uses java.text.DecimalFormat under the covers as the XSLT 1.0 specification suggests. I would imagine any problems with format-number() actually boil down to problems with java.text.DecimalFormat.
You can use Java Extension functions to perform custom Java in your stylesheet.
See the file .\extfunc.html in the root directory of the XML Parser for Java V2
distribution.
