Is their a way of transfering certain songs, not the whole library?

i've created a new playlist on my itunes comp because other people in the house already have their own playlists for their own ipods. how do i tranfer just the songs i want and not the whole library? cheers

At the very bottom of the link posted above, there is a short sentence that indicates you can transfer 'Selected Playlists'.
With the iPod attached and seen within iTunes, go to Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab and select the updating method to be playlists.
This will allow you to choose which playlist(s) you want to auto-sync with your iPod.
This is one of the easiest ways to have two or more iPods syncing with iTunes and containing different music.

Under Devices-Music: Start deleting all the songs including any song headings you have in the left column under Music. This will delete from the iPod yet leave your iTunes library intact.

So if I understand you correctly, you want to be able to sync only certain songs, artists, and albums correct? If so you can configure this set up from under the iPod's Music configuration tab in iTunes as described in the Syncing Automatically section in the Apple support document you linked in at the top of the page. Note that you cannot select only certain songs, but you can set it up to sync selected Artists, Genres, and Albums.
If the tab and its configurations are grayed out, it is likely because your iPod is set up for manual management, meaning the manually manage music and videos option is enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab.

in the settings for the iphone when it is plugged into the Mac and iTunes is open, tick the box to just transfer selected songs, not the whole library.

I can't copy certain songs from my iTunes library to my iPhone despite repeated attempts. These are songs I copied way back when from CDs onto my computer. I can play them on my computer just fine in iTunes too. Status bar says "Updating files" and "Preparing to Copy" but nothing actually copies to my phone. My phone shows the songs greyed out and circles to the left of the song in the Store column and the songs never get copied onto my phone.
My guess is that there is something I am missing or something I am doing wrong.
Any advice/help is appreciated.

I would like to know, on the ringtone page, where you can select songs out of your music library, is there a way to remove a song from the list after its selected? I would thin there would be a way to "delete" the songs from the list. (Clock app)

Let me explain:
In the clock app for ios 6.0.2 I am a little confused. It allows you to go into your music library, and create a ringtone using any songs you choose. However, I cannot find a way to remove a song from this list, just like I cannot delete one of the preset ringtones (which I'm not trying to do, but just as an example)

I believe you just are able to delete them from iTunes.

Safari>Preferences>Advanced. Check Show develop menu in the menu bar. Empty the cache from there.

Nope, it either needs to be plugged in or turned on with the power button.
A replacement iPhone 4 is $149, but at least the whole phone is replaced.

I do not know if your file can be recovered. But I may be able help you to recreate it with ease. If you will settle for a composite where all image are re-sized for a particular tile size and virtually cropped to its aspect ratio. As we know, we can copy the graphs to other users using /n/sapapo/sdp_graph. But is their any way to restrict user from overriding the graph to particular user.
Scenarios:
In a project we have super user and semi-super user, whenever super user uses above t-code to copy graph to all users (he has included semi-super user id to target user list) but semi-super user does not want to override his graph by super user.
Do we have such function in APO to restrict?

Transfered duet albums show individual songs not the album

I recently bought new Van Morrison Duets album. When I transfer it to my ipod it transfers each individual song; not the album

Older model iPods such as the classic don't support the Album Artist field. Workarounds are to treat the entire album as a compilation, or put the guest/feat. artist infomation into the song Name field and use a common value for Artist. I prefer the latter approach.

Certain songs not showing up

Hey guys. There are certain songs for the same artist that are not showing up on my iPod when I scroll under "Artists." They are on the iPod in general, but does anyone know why they aren't showing up? For example, I have 6 Tom Petty songs, all of them which are labeled as "Tom Petty," but when I scroll through Tom Petty under Artists, only one of the six songs shows up. The other five I have to find by scrolling under "Songs." Help!

For non-purchased music like CD rip music, or website downloaded songs, you need some third party software to copy the music from iPod to mac. If you need details, here is a guide about how to get music from iPod to macbook. Hope it helps.
