IS there a 64 bit firefox yet? All the questions I see are 7+ months old
So I'm looking to see if there is a 64 bit version of Firefox now as all the questions I see are asked 7 + months ago and the answer is there would be a 64 bit version by foxfire 5... since we are up to Firefox 7 is there a 64 bit version and where do I download it if there is cause I cannot find the damned thing on my own
No 64-bit release versions for Windows yet. Only available as a bleeding edge "Nightly" version, which is now Nightly 10.0a1.

HT1338 my mac pro started running very slow not all the time it is only 2 months old
My new macpro has been running very slow off and on (mostly on) it is only 2 months old I took it into the genius bar and they could not find anything wrong. I took it home and it ran fine for a short while then started up again. I have watched activity monitor and can see no direct corellation. Anyone have any ideas?

When I close the firefox browser but I do not quit the program entirely, the app tabs remain as I had originally set them up.
But when I fully quit firefox. All the app tabs I set up are gone and I have to set them up all over again every time.Here's what happened in safe boot mode.
I click on apple logo > software update > see's that Super Drive 3.0 is checked > click install
I wait for the install to go through.
First pop up says " There was a problem installing this update" Quit all apps before installing bla bla bla... I noticed a sound when this pop up appeared. It's the sound of when you restart the macbok. There is another popup behind this saying that software update has been sucessfully installed.
So what I did first was click "quit" on the popup saying "There was a problem installing this update".
then I clicked "ok" where it said that the software installation update was successfully installed.
I get another pop up which is the Software Update window. I let it look for any updates and it then says that my software is up to date. I noticed that Super Drive 3.0 is listed and cannot be checked [x]. There's a Check mark with a green circle around it.
I quit the software update window and click on apple logo > software update and let it do its thing. Next thing you know, It says that Super Drive 3.0 needs to be updated. I also checked the SERIAL ATA and still shows rev. CP06.
I just recently installed this mac os X so there is no "important" data on this laptop. I don't have any money for OS Lion or Mavrick nor meet the system req to run it. 2gb to 4gb is expensive for a ddr2 800 200 pin ram -
the bar that says sending message wont go away it just keeps saying sending message yet all the messages are gone and recieved and it just stays there, ive tried restarting booting, syncing everything i cant think of
Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking bar, tap & hold any icon until they all start to wiggle, tap the red minus sign & close every app listed, tap home button when finished. Then reset your phone:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release. -
I just downloaded the latest version of firefox (5.0). Can I delete all the older versions that are still on my drive?
When I call up some web sites sometimes the web site comes up 3 or 4 times...how do I stop this from happening? For example if I click on a link the exact same link comes up 3 or 4 times and I have to manually delete all of them but one.Do you organise your email into separate folders, or do you just let it accumulate in the Inbox?
I would strongly advise you not to let it sit in the Inbox.
When you see this happening, try right-click on the affected folder, select '''Properties''' then '''Repair Folder'''.
Large folders (actually, a folder in Thunderbird is stored as a file, so it is sensitive to file size limits set by the underlying file system) can be problematic. This is one reason not to let messages collect in one folder. I use Thunderbird's Archive folders so that accumulated mails over several years can happily coexist because they are effectively stored in many small folders. No single mail store folder then exceeds the 2GB or 4GB sizes that have been known to stress the OS. I appreciate that current builds of Thunderbird and a modern 64-bit OS should be able to cope, but practically I find it slows down when given huge files, so I err towards a pragmatic solution; a large number of not very big files.
Archives are searchable, and a Saved Search folder can give you a virtual composite folder allowing access to the entire Archive. -
Does Firefox reset all the root certificates and root certificate settings whenever an upgrade is installed?
Root certificates are stored in the file nssckbi.dll and if you've disabled build-in root certificates then it is possible that they get re-enabled. There is however no reason to disable any of the build-in root certificates.

I use to take One to One classes at the Apple Store. Each time i asked a teacher how to back up my i-photolibrary on a external hard drive they gave me a diferent way to do it, each teacher thought he could do better than the other... As this classes is only one hour long, I had to start all over again with the next teacher on the following session...
So know they are diferent version of he same library mixed up together and i am trying to clean up all this. It just take to much space on my disc and it is all confusing . Voila, that's the story!

This is my first go at this so be kind,
My question concerns launchpad. Coming from Snow Leopard I had been using spaces. I like to keep certain bundles of programs on separate desktops, for example all word processing related tasks in one place. I have set up the equivalent on Yosemite.
My problem is concerns the loss of exposé. Now I know when you swipe into launch pad you get a very similar effect but the issue I am having concerns the "zoom out" effect when you swipe into launchpad. With exposé all open apps/pages etc would be fully exposed - in my case several (sometimes as many as 9 word documents). What I am running into is when I do this in / into launch pad the "pile" of docs is exposed but they are still overlapping so I can't get a good look at which is which and visually identify where I want to navigate to.
My question is this; Is there a way to adjust the settings on launchpad so that when I swipe into it all the open apps/pages are fully separated (like in exposé) so that I can fully view all of them simultaneously? If so, instructions on how to do so would be greatly appreciated. Any alternative suggestions to doing this outside of launchpad are also welcome. If there is an exposé app for example, I would be quite willing to go that route.
My main concern is being able to quickly (ie a touchpad gesture) expand all the open pages so I can bounce between them.

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

The bookmarks toolbar is hidden by default in Firefox 6, and "view bookmarks toolbar" will only show it until a link is clicked or the tab is changed. How can I display the bookmarks toolbar in Firefox 6 all the time?
On your toolbar area right click an empty space and open Customize.
Then drag the bookmark icon up to your toolbar area and drop. -
My Ipod touch is set to manually manage music. I have put music from my computer and iTunes account onto it, and music from other people's computer and iTunes accounts on it. Unfortunately I dropped my iPod and the screen cracked. It still plays music and everything just fine, but it has problems with it's battery life so I'd like to just get a completely new iPod nano. Is there any way I can transfer all the music from my iPod touch onto a new iPod nano? From what I can tell it won't let me sync any of the music on my iPod touch that is from other people's computers onto my laptop, and so I wouldn't be able to put it on a new iPod nano. Hopefully that makes sense. I'd just really really like to be able to keep all that music and not lose 2/3 of my iPod touch music library because I want to put it on a newer Ipod.

I have the latest of the Ipod Touch. My computer had crash but I didn't backup any of the music to a disc but its backup on the ipod touch. I want to connect my touch to my new computer but I don't want to lose any music. Is there a way I can transfer all the music without losing it?

My Company has recently issued company ipads. I currently havea iMac for personal use in which I have an iTunes account. My MacBook was wiped of all my music and everything else, and now my iTouch is the only device with my entire music database. My iTouch is old. (Version 6.1.6, Model number: MC547LL/A) Is there any way I can put all the music on my iTouch back onto my MacBook? I hate that I could lose my entire music library by dropping my iTouch in the toilet.
I've tried to plug in my iTouch into my MacBook, but I can't seem to give the music-transfusion without subscribing to iTunes Match or just completely wiping my iTouch.
PLEASE HELP MEEEEEYour i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a different setup you transfer the old library from a computer or a backup directly to the new setup, not the device to the library. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
