Is there a Backup application that backup to the iPod Touch?

I thinking of buying a iPod Touch. I need a iPod Touch or iPod to back up my encrypted home folder (the sparsebundle file size is 4GB) of my MacBook.
I use Time Machine to backup to a exterior drive. But I need another backup alternative, which is outside my home. I dont want to backup to the internet, because my upload speed is too slow.
I know, I can back up to iPod using Carbon Copy Cloner, but cant use it for a iPod Touch. Is there any way that I can backup to a iPod Touch. If I can, which applications can be use to do the backup?

ITunes not showing songs that are on the iPod Touch

I have an iPod Touch 4th Generation.
I use iTunes 11.0.
I usually connect my iPod Touch to iTunes and play songs from there because I do not put songs in my itunes library.
I was doing this as usual and today when I connected my iPod Touch to iTunes, songs did not show up on the music tab of "On This iPod".
Just the previous day, I opened iTunes and there were all my songs.
Today, iTunes does not show any of my downloaded songs that were not bought from the iTunes Store.
The iTunes Capacity Bar shows that I have songs on my iPod Touch.
But when clicking on the iPod and going under the music tab in "On This iPod", there is no music other than a few songs, which were purchased from the iTunes Store itself.
I also tried third party software just today to check if I can get the songs off my iPod.
I tried using SharePod and it did not detect any songs, not even the purchased songs from iTunes.
There are songs on the iPod Touch only. I can play all the songs from the iPod Touch just fine.
They are simply just not showing up on iTunes.
How do I get iTunes to show the songs on my iPod Touch? The capacity bar says there are songs.
I tried SharePod a few times long before this happened, and it showed the songs on the iPod Touch.
I don't understand why all of a sudden the songs all disappeared from iTunes itself only.
(I would say this is similar to other issues where iTunes DOES show songs while the iPod itself DOES NOT. Mine is the opposite.)

I tried backing up the iPod Touch.
Now all the songs on the iPod Touch (except for the purchased ones) are turned to blank names and are skipped.
There is no name for each song or artwork, they all are called 'unknown'.
Only the purchased songs are left unharmed. Everything else is corrupted now.

the earphone that came with the ipod is not workin, the microfone doesnt work, and the volume control doesnt too, but, the stop/play button works, and the overall sound from the phone, wat is happening? can smeone help me?

This maybe because there is a piece of tissue, crumbs... ect in the earphone hole.
Try getting stuff out, if there is nothing there... I got nothing.

Why does it take so long to do an intial backup with the iPod Touch?

I restored my iPod Touch 2nd generation because I wanted to delete a bunch of the music off and I couldn't get it to do that. I have gotten it back to the base, but now when I try to sync the stuff I want to it, it will not do anything. It keeps saying backing up. Are there any current widespread outstanding issues for the iPod touch 3G?

I'm upgrading from a first-gen iPod touch because despite my whole-hearted love for it, its slighter faults like relatively short battery life and limited space, not to mention the fact that it recently likes borking all my headphones, have led me to want to upgrade. But before I upgrade, I'd like to ask if there are any widespread issues surrounding the new device that are widespread but not covered by the mass media? My brother upgraded his iPod nano and now he has to contend with a headphone issue that simply shouldn't exist, thus my question.

So am I correct in assuming that all of the Ipod touch 1st and 2nd gen are obsolete?

I can't seem to download any apps for my second generation ipod touch. I have looked on forums and searched the internet on what to do with no avail. Please do not send me any messages saying that I cannot go any higher than iOS 4.2.1 because I know this and you will be wasting my time. Basically my question is what do the people do that own older ipods? Do we simply toss them out? I think that this is a little ridiculous, I paid for a product that I can no longer use simply because it is older.

Baloney. You can use the product, until it's no longer operational. If it breaks, you can have it repaired outside of the warranty.

Put the clear thingy on your desk with the hooked end pointing up with that end closest to you. You then put the edge of your iPod into the slot and let it lean back a bit. If you've done it right the iPod with stand up. If it doesn't stand up keep trying. You'll get it eventually.

Adobe pdf does not fully download from mail. Is there an adobe application that will do the job fully? The pdf is a download from an email attachment.

A friend sent a pdf to me attached to an email. I looked at it with my pc; the mac only shows a portion of the file. It is an adobe file. Is this common? Is there a fix? Is preview not capable of fully opening an adobe file? Has anyone else had a similar issue?
