Is there a setting to let you know you have a text msg?
Is there a setting you can set to let you know you have a tex msg? I use to have the Droid 3 and a light would blink if I had a text msg or email.
No there is not other than a sound setting, vibrate or both (i think). I had this same thought the other day after just coming over from a droid as well but when you think about it, doesn't matter much. With my droid, if the light was blinking I would check, but most often it would be a spam or garbage email. With this phone it has no light but a click of the home button and I can see what messages or emails or whatever are there. If I am close enough to see a light, I'm likely close enough to click the button, and because of my nature, I'm going to click the button and look...lets face it. Essentially the same thing with either phone...if I think there might be something I'm looking for it!
I also believe certain things can be set up to repeat notification until you clear it. So if you miss the initial sound or vibration or what have you, it would alert you again.

The settings issue would be on your wife's iPhone, assuming the message is being displayed on her phone.

I have not been able to get a sound from my iphone when its in lock mode to let me know i have a text since i updated this new CRAP!!!! All this money for an iphone and i cant hear a dam thing from it. ANyone have a fix for this or do i have to live with it?
I tried what i could. Just got off the phone with apple and they had me reset my phone and now it works

I cannot get my messages/text messages to work om my Hi. I am sending this thru my iPad. Respond and let me know you got it. Fun fun fun. . I did go and try to another Apple ID different from my iPhone but it still will not work. Can anyone help me?

Let's start with iTunes.
Have you updated iTunes to 11.1.5, because the previous version did appear to have an issue about seeing iPods?
With iTunes 11.1.5 installed, look in Edit/Preferences/Devices, (or use the ALT key, followed by the E key and then the F key) and make sure that the box named Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically does not have a tick in the box.
Once you have doen those two things, check to see if the iPod is seen by iTunes.

Really?
OS stands for Operating System. (In computer speak, IO means Input/Output.)
iOS originally stood for iPhone Operating System, but it now refers to the iPod Touch and iPhone. The iPod Classic, which you have listed in your profile as your iPod, does not use iOS.
I assume that you have been listening to the Podcast in your iTunes on the computer as you cannot transfer it to your iPod. It's what I'd do. -

so frustrated.Well its defintiely nothing that Apple can activate to fix this. They would be able to troubleshoot with you though. This may be able to be resolved if its something software related.

Not to be a complete copycat here, this is more a release for me than another lame "you know you've..." thread.
I just had this long involved thread about the appropriateness of the XML format for the ant tool config file, as well as the general question of the use of ant at all. Of course jschell came down on the anti-ant side of things (I suspect as a more of a "devil's advocate" position) and things got a little heated, you know how it is. Now you way be wondering where this very interesting thread is. Well, I'd post a link but I can't*, since it was in my dream. Shudder.
(yes it's a bit late for sleep, but it was a long night - on the upside I got to live the rockstar-hanger-on life for a bit, thanks Mark. On the downside I doubt even rockstar-hangers-on don't dream about debate threads on the java fora, so I guess that illusion's been shattered)

If you go to phone settings-> phone infor. -> icon glossary -> service alert, and then you'll see a small icon of a person where it says voice mail. My phone is Samsung gusto so it may be different from yours but i would assume the overall location may be similar.

I'm having probelms backing up my information to my iCloud account. I tried to reset the account and erase everything in my account but the problem is still there. The problem is that my iPhone is not able to complete the backup process and all it is saying a problem occured.
Someone Pleas let me know how to reset my account, delet everyhting in the Cloud and start a new backup.

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

Any auto marking in browser to let you know you used a clip?
I know there is the duplicate frame function that will show you if you put a clip (frames) into the timeline twice, but is there anything in the browser that shows a mark next to a clip that

I Updated my Iphone 5 and now it will not play or display in my car. I use the apple hotwire to USB to charge and play music in my car. It worked before the update. Is there a setting in the new software that needs adjusting ?
I have a similar problem. Prior to the 7.0.3 update my iPod touch worked properly and I could see the music folders, playlists and music lists. However, after the update it no longer works - I cannot see the playlists, the names are blank.
I do not believe your response properly answers the issue at hand. If the iPod worked properly before the update then it should work properly afterward. With the response and link above it appears it is Apple's stance that it is the radio manufacturer to make the radio work with every update. That is backwards and, in my opinion, irresponsible.
It should be Apples responsibility to make sure that the functionality of the device is the same both before and after an update. If they cannot do that then they should make it easy for the user to downgrade or uninstall the update to regain the previous functionality, at least until Apple can resolve the issue their update created.

Droid 3 Cell Standby Battery Issue - Call Verizon and let them know you're having a problem.
At this time, the cell standby battery problem is not considered a known issue despite it being a very serious problem for every Droid 3 owner I've spoken with so far. If you are experiencing this or any other problem, report it and encourage everyone you know to report it.
They are working on a patch for the camera because a lot of people complained, the only way they will fix this issue is if you call and complain - make sure they are aware of the problem. Make sure Motorola is aware of the problem.Mine reboots off and on after update but I told them. And when I'm charging it does shut off. I have the new update. After it does this then when I go into a Verizon app like NFL mobile I have to log in to my Verizon profile before I can use the app. Ugh. Does it make u sign in to if my Verizon profile after u turn the phone on as well as go into say NFL mobile or a Verizon owned app like media manager just when u start the app on. Everytime the phone turns off I have to sign in if I want to open one of these apps.
