Is there a way in which you can deliver messages only through iMessages and not text messages . If the other iphone user has switched off the data services then the message gets delivered when the user switches on the data services.

I want messages to be delivered to the other person only through iMessages . Is there a way to disable text messages being sent to the other iphone .

In message settings, disable the send as SMS setting. That does mean any message sent to a non-iMessage enabled device will just not get sent.

I have turned OFF Send as SMS on the settings of my iphone. However the phone still allows me to send text messages using the message facility. I am aware that green equals text and blue equals imessage.
I would however like to disable or at least have a reminder before sending a text in order that I do not get billed for sending photos attached to text instead of as imessages
I thought that turning OFF Send as SMS in the settings field would prevent me sending texts and only allow imessages to go out, but this does not seem to be the case

You can turn off sending pictures messages except as iMessages by going to Settings>Messages>MMS Messaging and setting it to "Off".

No, downgrading from any version of iOS to an earlier version is not supported.

No. I've given you your answer. Buy from an un-official source, and you take your chances. And yes, if your phone was hacked to unlock it(common from un-official sources), it will be locked back to the carrier it was originally locked to if you update software or restore the phone.

I am using stalonetray in OpenBox in Arch and when I copy-paste or cut-paste files in Thunar, a sys tray icon pops up. I don't want it to pop up.
Is there any way by which I can make it to not pop up?

Are you sure this isn't some other tool, like a clipboard manager? Are their any tooltip popups or menus available on the tray icon and/or what happens when you click the icon?
No. I use only Thunar. When I hover on the icon it says that "1 file operation running" when a copy-paste or cut-paste operation happens and when I left click and right click on it, it shows the copying window of thunar. The icon shows two small yellow folders placed diagonally. It's the same icon that appears on the file operation progress window of Thunar. I don't know whether Numix has anything to do with the specific icon though.

Is there a way to do a spelling quiz in captivate using images and not questions as reference. Specifically i want have blank lines underneath an image, where the user looks at the image and types the correct letters to fill in the blank. For example a picture of a dog, with this _ _ _ underneath for the user to fill in, or in some cases perhaps having them fill in the vowel like so "d_g".I must have audio with this , as the students will be able to listen to the audio sound out the word phonetially to help them be able to type it!

Because I have imported from a number of different sources into Aperture (3.2) over the years, I now have many duplicates in my library. Is there any way in which these can be identified and lated deleted?

Because I have imported photos from a number of different sources into Aperture (3.2), I now have many unwanted duplicates. Some of these are in the same "file/folder", others are not. Additionally, some of the duplicates may have different file names.
Can anyone advise me if there is a way of identifying such duplicates in Aperture so that I may later delete them? If this cannot be achieved within Aperture 3, does anyone know of a proven second-party app?
Before ending I should mention that I am reasonable competent on a computer but I am not in any way an expert. (So simple answers would be appreciated if this is possible!)

Jeremy -- I suggest making a complete separate copy of your Library and any Referenced Masters and keeping it for a year. "Duplicate" is, to humans, relative rather than absolute. My use of Duplicate Annihilator turned up many useful near duplicates, most of which I couldn't quickly distinguish. With a complete copy nearby, you can be slightly aggressive in your pruning, knowing that should you turn up something in ten months that you need (as an example: the full-size color file for a black & white printed shot that you thought was based on a full-size color Master but which is not), you'll have it.
IME, it was much more effective to get rid of things I didn't need, than to figure out which of several possible duplicates of an Image I did need.

How can I sync only my music and not my videos

I want to put videos on my iPod but I want to delete them off of my hard drive after and from itunes, but I also want my iPod to automatically sync my music. The problem is that if I have autosync on to update my music then it deletes the videos on my ipod since I delted them from itunes and my hard drive. I know the basic way to avoid this is manually update my ipod, but I want to be able to manually manage videos, but have itunes autosync my music collection. Is there any way to do that? Thanks

Hi. I have some confusion about iMessage. I could send and receive most of messages from other iphone users. But, I cannot receive messages from my parent in China, who also uses iphone. However, he can successfully send and receive messages from other users as well. So, what is the problem? He can receive my message in text, while I cannot receive his messages. Don't create a playlist for three songs.
Either uncheck those songs or a much better way is to create a playlist (or a few) of songs you want on the iPod the sync only those playlists.
To add/delete from the iPod, simply add/delete from those playlists.
