Is there a way of seeing music that isn't in a playlist

Hi there, Im new to itunes so please be gentle with me...
i am trying to put all music in to playlist but am getting a bit confused as to what ive put in a playlist and not.
i know you can right click on a track and see what playlist that one song is in but with over 20000 tracks imported i would be very impractical so was wondering if there was a way of seeing everything that is un-playlisted??
thanks for all your help in advance
Dougie

You can order/buy music from whomever you like.

  • Is there a way to upload music that I have saved on my computer to my ipod? I didn't see anything in the user guide for doing this.

Is there a way to upload music that I have saved on my computer it my ipod touch or is uploading from iTunes the only way to upload music? I didn't see anything in the user guide on how to do this.

These two articles explain how to put music from your PC into iTunes and then all you need to do is sync it with your iPod

  • My laptop screen when black now it will not turn on or off. And is there a way to see everything that has been done to my laptop at a apple store?

My laptop has been in the apple store to be fixed more times in the past 2 years then you could imagine. They just replaced a defective wire in it, and hardrive not even a month ago and now the screen just went black and wont turn back on. Also is there a way to see everything that has been done to this laptop through the apple store?

If I were you I would call Apple Customer Relations (800) 767-2775.  Tell them exactly what you stated in your post in a polite way.  See what they can do for you.

  • Is there a way to get music that is on my iPod touch to my iPhone 5 with music no on the cloud or in itunes?

I just bought a new iPhone 5 and want to transfer all the music on my ipod 3rd gen. to my iPhone. the dilema im having is that not all of my music is on my iTunes. is there a way to move all that music?

No.  You can download previously purchased music to your iPhone, but all other music must be synched via iTunes.

  • Is there any way to get music that wasn't from iTunes in/off of the iCloud?

I backed up everything on my 4th gen iPod touch to the iCloud and am transferring it all over to the 5th gen iPod touch I just got but not all the apps and music that were on the old iPod are switching over.  Is there a way to correct this?  I have a few hundred songs that aren't coming over and they aren't on iTunes.

Music is not included in the backup because it is assumed to be in your iTunes library.  If you have music on your old iPod that was not purchased from the iTunes store, and is not in your iTunes library, the only way to transfer it would be to purchase and use 3rd party software such as Touch Copy or PhoneView (Mac only) to extract it to your PC.  Once extracted, it can be imported to your iTunes library and synced to your new iPod.
Otherwise you would have to re-import the music to iTunes from the original source CDs.

  • Is there a way to delete music that was bought on another account?

So I have an iPod classic 60GB that I got from my brother in law.  There are over 3000 songs on it and I'm wanting to know if I can just transfer the DRM free songs to my library.  There appears to be 2 accounts that songs on the iPod were purchased with.  I would obviously like to have the songs that will play on my computer, but would rather not have to deal with finding each individual song and then deleting them if they won't play.  Any suggestions?

iTunes Match will do that for you, turn it on in the Store menu (in iTunes). It's $25 per year.

  • Is there a way to transfer music that is in my old ipad?

I just got a iPad air today and i would like to know if there is a way to retrieve the music i downloaded on my old ipad to my new one.....j

If the music was purchased with iTunes, then yes. See here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848
If not, then there is no way to do this using iTunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1848
Someone else may be able to recommend a third-party Mac or Windows app that can access and transfer your music, but I am not aware of anything personally.

  • Is there any way to recover music that was lost during a system reboot

i was under the empression that my music was backed up under the clowd but after preforming a reboot i cant find my music is ther anything i can do to recover this

It has always been very basic for you to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
If for some reason you have failed to do this, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:
Download past purchases - Support - Apple

  • Is there a way to see a file browser on iCloud? It says my account is filled up to 5G already and I can't imagine what it moved over to there that was that big.

I'm wondering if it moved my rhapsody music to the cloud (which is pointless) so I shut off 'document' sharing in case that's the problem, but it's still saying I'm at 5G right now.
When I go to icloud.com all I see is the dumb app icons, with no clue as to what's taking up that disk space.
btw, I did not sync photos from the get-go.
A file browser? please? I need to see my cloud.
    sigh

Have you enabled Automatic Downloads on all of your devices? This would download all of the books to all of your devices when you download on any device - as long as you are using the same Apple ID and iTunes account on all of your devices.
Go to Settings>Store>Automatic Downloads>Books>On. When you download a book on one iDevice, it will download to all of your iDevices. This will only work for downloads moving forward from the moment that you turn the setting on. You will have to download the previously purchased books to all of your other devices.
With iCloud, you can start reading the book on one device and then pickup where you left off on another device.

Music can be re-downloaded in some countries - does music show under the Purchased tab under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (re-downloading) ? If it does then you can re-download them for free (though not all purchases may still be the store). If you are not in a country where music can currently be re-downloaded and you don't have a backup then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

    No.
One of you create a new AppleID and one use the existing AppleID.
But you can still use the items in each iTunes library.
Create separate computer logins for each of you.
This will give you each your own data. Contacts, calendars, photos, etc. (and your own iTunes library).
