Is there a way to add transitions to several still pictures without doing them one at a time

You don't say which version of the program you're using but, in version 10, if you select several media clips on the timeline at once, you can right-click and select the option to Add Default Transition between them all. (You can also designate any transition as the Default Transition.)
You can also use the Slideshow Creator in the Media panel to apply the Default Transition between any stills you've gathered to create a slideshow from.
And, if you create your slideshow in the Elements Organizer (prior to sending it to Premiere Elements), you can select the option to add random transitions between your slides.

Whenever I want to delete messages in the inbox on my iphone 4, using v4.2.8, I have to manually check each one and then delete them the checked ones as a group. Is there a way to select all and delete them at one time? You have a point, but you're just helping exposing the misery a little more: I actually DO delete the emails in WebMail, very easily. The problem is the sorry state of the Apple email client, that does not replicate those actions on the device, so I have to delete the messages TWICE--once on my computer, with a couple of clicks, and then on my iPhone, with a couple (hundreds) finger gestures.
As to your point that the iPhone is not a standalone device: that's nonsense. The iPhone does a lot of things that users thought IMPOSSIBLE just 10 years ago. Are you saying that the addition of a simple feature like a "Delete All Messages" button is too much for a mobile device? Then what to say about Siri, a complex-beyond-our-imagination system that incorporates voice recognition, AI, searching and other hard-to-grasp technologies, all at our fingertips?

Use the Preview application. If you have it in your dock you can drag a group of photos to the icon and they'll open with the first picture large and the rest as thumbnails to the side. Use the buttons at the top to go to the next picture and zoom in or out.

Just discovered how to do it: Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars, scroll down to Signature: and where it says "from my Iphone on messages - delete it and add your name, and/or phone no--whatever you like...doesn't take up much space...This is apparently the "fix" the Iphone 4S did....
It did not originally come out with that on it...now it is there - must have come in an update..

Is there a way to add shapes to the shape library, and does anyone make a shape library for electronic block diagrams?

I'm trying to use Pages or Keynote to make electronic block diagrams. The shapes library looks like it would be perfect for the job, but the shapes are limited. I know I can make a custom shape, but I live with slight brain damage, which means the mouse is NOT my friend. If I try to make custom shapes, they look like a kindergartener's scrawl, so that's not a solution.
All of the online forums I've been to so far say to use Visio (ick!) and if your desired symbol is not there, make it yourself. Well, several symbols are not there, and the first paragraph explains why this is a non-starter.
I would gladly pay some reasonable fee for electronic shapes, such as amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, etc. if someone made them. But from the help file I can't even see a way to add those shapes to the Apple shape library, so I'm not sure, other than copy and paste, how to handle outside shapes. Copy and paste is pretty labor intensive anyway, but if it's my only option, well, so be it.
Any suggestions? Aside from Visio, that is...

Hi Jim,
When you say the "Apple shape library" do you mean the Shapes button on the toolbar in Pages?
I don't think there is a way to add to the Shapes in Pages. However, you can create a custom template with shapes that you frequently use. Save a document with your shapes then Menu > File > Save as Template...
This will be saved in My Templates folder, and you can open it with Template Chooser. You will still have to Copy and Paste a shape into the document you are working on. No way around that!
I don't use Keynote, so I may be missing something in your question.

I have tried rebooting, but everything was still frozen afterward. I've considered doing a restore on the computer, but that would probably wipe all of my saved information out as it's never been connected with the computer before. Also, during a restore, it asks you to confirm information on your iphone screen, which is impossible to do with it being frozen.

No. You can tap the EDIT button, then tap a bunch of emails to select them, then tap DELETE. But you still have to tap each message.

Is there a way to change how Thunderbird checks multiple email accounts from several at once to checking them one at a time?

There is one problem I've had that I've never seen anyone else have! I live in an area of the Philippines with very poor performing Internet service. Things are slow but, it's enough if you have patience. My freelance work requires that I have multiple email accounts. Thunderbird handles this well except when initially checking emails. Because it checks email accounts all at once, I usually get timeouts and then have to resort to checking them manually, one at a time. So, I'm wondering if the way Thunderbird checks accounts can be changed to one at a time, especially at startup? Thanks!

Don't know any 'automatic' way - but, i have "Fetch Headers only" set on each of my 'secondary accounts'.
With varying internet service, manual "Get Messages" is probably the "Best Practice" because you will know how good your service is before you even try.
maybe set "Check for new messages every 'n' minutes" to different times
(3 minutes, 6 minutes, etc.) on each 'secondary' account.

I bought the 16G iPhone 4S thinking that it would be plenty of memory since I had an iPod and was never close to using that much. I had no idea that all of the apps and phone aspects and such took up so much room. Now my phone is full and I was wondering if Apple had any kind of option to trade in your old phone and pay to upgrade to more memory.

You can't install more storage space later. You get 30 days (I believe) to decide if you are unhappy with a phone and return it for a refund. After that there is no trade-in option. You have to see if you can sell it (tricky) and buy a new one.

I solved the problem a couple days ago. The mistake I made was that I neglected to shut Firefox down before making the changes to persdict.dat. Once I did that, everything worked as I expected it to work after bringing Firefox up again. I guess that's the equivalent of what you suggested. Thanks for your response.

Any way to add transitions to multiple slides??

I just completed a 200 slide presentation which I imported into the iPad. At the time, I was not worried about slide transitions. I thought that once on the iPad, I could like on the mac, select a group of slides and add the same transition to all at once. I just tried on the iPad and it only added to one slide at a time!! Ugh!!
I had to make numerous changes to the slides once they hit the ipad for formatting, fonts, and so on so it's not practical to tweak on the mac then send back to the iPad.
Is there any way to add a transition to multiple slides at once on the iPad?

Thanks, David, for your reply; the slides are all just basic dissolve transitions. nothing fancier, and dissolve is supported in both the transition and the build areas of keynote for ipad according to the help doc, which I had read, so this is why I am confused. I did originally create the document in keynote '08, but opened and saved it in '09, and then selected the slides, set dissolve as transition, and saved as a test file. It's an '09 file now, and some slides dissolve, others don't although they were all selected to dissolve. I've used Keynote for years on my mac so I know I set up the dissolve correctly. just not sure why only some of them are working and others not in the ipad file. I'm going to create one from 'scratch' using Keynote '09 and see if that makes a difference.

If you first select the calendar on the left, so that its background is highlighted blue/grey, when you make a new events they should be added to that calendar.

Server behaviors are simply bits of boilerplate code automatically generated by Dreamweaver. Editing the code doesn't "break" it (unless your edits are badly written). However, once you edit the code, Dreamweaver no longer recognizes it, so you lose the ability to drag recordset results from the Bindings panel.
If you want to edit server behavior code, the best way to handle it is to lay out your page as you want, using the Bindings panel. Once everything has been done, only then edit the server behavior code.
