Is there a way to adjust volume and equalizer settings for whole computer

Hello,
I am well aware of the ability to adjust the equalizer for sound output in iTunes but is there a way to do this for the whole computer? Sometimes I stream talk radio programs over the internet and the stream is handled by the internet sites own window server rather than iTunes. As a result I can't adjust the sound to a "spoken word" setting or equivalent like I can in itunes. I play the audio through a standard set of computer speakers that don't have Bass Treble adjustments. Is there a way to adjust the sound as it leaves the computer through the headphone jack (a system wide equalizer). This would also be useful on my desktop which I use as a TV to watch DVD's. There is no equalizer to adjust the sound to make it more appropriate for "spoken word".

Everything went smoothly but find that the ringtone is way too low for me to hear when it rings... is there any way to adjust this before I download it? Ditto, the ringtone I created is unusable, as it is too quiet. There does not seem to be an option to increase the volume. Even if I set the ringer volume all the way up I can bearly hear it. Admittedly it is a relatively quiet segment of the track I used, but surely the ringtone should auto adjust its volume?
The preview on my MacBook sounded great, on the iphone with it sat in the dock, I barely even noticed it was playing.

Was wondering if there is a way to adjust the volume on text alerts while I'm on the phone talking to someone. If I am using the phone for a voice call and I get a text or message the alert tone is way too loud and I cant hear the other person speaking.

You can mute the text alerts while you're on a call using the mute switch over the volume buttons.

Is there a way to save project and all media for easy opening on another machine?

So is there any way of instead of just saving the project and your computer locates the media, can you easily save a project and all the media in like a zipped folder so you can open on another machine?

MacBook Pro has no sound, no way to adjust volume, and will not play music.

My MacBook Pro seems to have lost all of its audio functions. I cannot adjust my volume using the keyboard controls, or through the button at the top of my desktop screen, or even through System Preferences. I get the normal volume adjust screen, but it is faded, and there is a symbol over it indicating that I cannot adjust anything. When I go into the Sounds menu from System Preferences, there is nothing for me to select under Input or under Output. My computer makes no noise, whether I'm using iTunes, watching a video, or anything. I cannot play music. My songs simply won't start, and when I skip to any given part of a song, the music still refuses to play. I am not getting the red light from my headphone port. I tried to remove any dust that may have collected in the headphone port, and I've even tried to reset my NVRAM and PRAM. I also updated to OS X Mavericks 10.9.2. Nothing helped. I remember that my MacBook was working perfectly fine all of yesterday, but at one point later in the evening, I tried to plug in my headphones to play music, but nothing would play. I opened Spotify, and it gave me a message that my speakers were broken (I was using the internal speakers). That's when I first noticed the issue. Is there anything else I can try before going to the Apple Store and having them try to fix it? Thank you very much, I appreciate any help.

The last gasp is an OSX reinstall. If that fails, then the genius bar is the best option.

Is there ANY way possible to MANUALLY restore factory settings for an ipod classic, FROM the device ITSELF (as opposed to restoring from iTunes or forcing a reformat elsewhere)?

I have 3 iPods: 1 Touch and 2 Classics. The Touch and 1 of the Classics are both working fine; the other Classic is not showing up in iTunes, My Computer, or in Device Manager. While I CAN do a simple reset, it accomplishes nothing, and I am UNABLE to get the faulty Classic into "disk mode".
Based on what I've encountered thus far, I have a suspicion that my faulty Classic somehow thinks it's formatted for the Mac, as I DO see the serial # and I do NOT see "Windows Format" in the About screen on the ipod itself. Is that even POSSIBLE? I have never used a Mac, but that's what the documentation I've read on this Support Site have lead me to believe.
The faulty Classic will charge ONLY in a wall charger; it clearly wants nothing to do with my laptop as it refuses to stand up and be recognized in iTunes or in My Computer....why??!!?? I DID try all of the other obvious troubleshooting items; I tried different USB ports, different cords, different laptops, and even different ipods.....BUT....all is well with everything else BUT for this pain-in-the-@$$ ipod.
IDEALLY.....since my ipod refuses to make itself available for me to "restore factory settings" via iTunes, the way it SHOULD be handled....., I'm wondering if there are any hackers out here that know of a way to FORCE a MANUAL restoration of factory settings of the ipod, via super-secret "key strokes" on the ipod itself (and not via the iTunes software that is curently useless for this particular ipod)....?

There is no way to restore/reformat the device without connecting it to a PC or Mac.
Have you checked the iPod's dock connector for signs of bent/damaged/corroded pins that could prevent a full connection with your PC? If there is any lodged debris, take a can of compressed air to it to blow it all out.

What is the best way to match clip and sequence settings for real-time editing?

I am a long time FCP user and trying to make the After Effects workflow a little smoother by utilizing the Adobe suite.
One of the most valuable things I miss about FCP is that when I drop a clip in a blank sequence (no matter what the settings of the seq) it will ask if I want to match the settings of the clip. This ensures that no rendering is required to quickly edit the video in real-time.
Is there a plugin or function in Premiere CS4 that I am missing that will afford me this feature? Currently i am doing everything I can to match the clip settings when creating a sequence, but sadly i'm still having to render the timeline to preview the edit.

And in CS4, if there is not a matching Preset, you can choose the Desktop Preset, which will allow you to customize nearly every attribute to match your source footage. The name is a bit of a misnomer, but has been around for a long time. I would have called it the "Custom Preset," but Adobe never called.

Yes it is possible.Have a look in config under SPRO > FI > Asset accounting > Master data > automatic creation of equipment master.

Not as far as I know. I have self, for the same reason set the Volume of Skype to about 40% and I don't see any effect on the call volume. Only ringing and notification sounds are affected.

I am sorry to hear about the screen issues. To clarify, do you only notice the screen proportion difference when in a certain application? By to long or wide are you stating that parts of the screen images are cut off? Please provide details

Pictures in Facebook are too large and content is cut off, is there a way to adjust.

While using my I pad 2 for Facebook the pictures of postings are huge and some of the content gets cut off. This doesn't happen on a laptop is there a way to adjust size of content so entire post can be seen.

Hi cris2121, assuming you're using a mouse from apple, go to >System Preferences<
it's here where one can configure a mouse device.
Additionally you can also configure Scrubbing in Logic: "When in scrub mode, you can slowly move the playhead in the Tracks Window and the Audio (and optional MIDI) will be played back. The playback speed depends on how fast you move the Playhead in either direction."
