Is there a way to bring back the "Open a New Tab" option via right-clicking on the Tab?

I just upgraded to latest version of Firefox (6.0). Yesterday it informed me that an upgrade to Firefox 5.(something) was available and asked if I wanted to upgrade. I went for it. However, I hadn't used it since then till today. Now when I opened it today it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to version 6.0. Without hesitation, I went for it too.
While this version looks nice, it feels a bit odd to use it. Previously whenever I wanted to open a new Tab, I right-clicked on any of the Tabs (active tab or any other Tab) and after right-clicking, it had the option to '''''Open a New Tab''''' along with few other options. Now there's no such option. There's the + button to open a new tab, but what if I want to open a link in a new tab by right-clicking on it? Similarly the option to Open in New Window is also missing.
Is there a way to bring back those previous Tab options/settings? If yes, how?
P.S. In my bookmark toolbar, when I click on a bookmark icon, it has the same options/settings as it previously had in the last version I used (last version I used was 3.something; while I'd upgraded to version 5.something I hadn't used it except for opening the browser when it asked me to upgrade to version 6.0). Options on right clicking the bookmark icon are:
Open
Open in a New Tab
Open in a New Window
New Bookmark...
New Folder...
New Separator
Cut
Copy
Paste
Delete
Properties

No. The Tab bar is a regular toolbar in current Firefox versions, so you get the normal right-click context menu of a toolbar if you right-click the tab bar.
You can double click on empty space on the tab bar to open a new tab if you do not want to use the new tab button. 
You can drag a link on that new tab button to open that link in a new tab. 
You can also drag the new tab button on another toolbar if you would like that better. 
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

I agree with you, many things in the ios 6.x were more elegant. The reader was the most one of them. I think the ios7 wants to be the windows 8.

I ended up reformating the drive as FAT32 because I still need to use it on my Windows 98SE system also. I did have a problem with the allocation size. I wanted to use 512 bytes but it kept failing so I used the default size(8192 bytes) and then it worked fine. I didn't think there would be a problem formatting as NTFS but since you are having problems I just tried it. It failed at 512 bytes allocation size so I tried again using 4096 bytes, the default, as the allocation size and it failed again. It looks like these drives will not format as NTFS.
Also, I think I figured out what's going on with the ReadyBoost problem. As I said initially it wouldn't work with ReadyBoost then after I had 12GB of data on the drive the ReadyBoost feature started working. After I deleted all the files it quit working again. After doing some reading on the net about Flash drives and ReadyBoost problems it appears that the memory chips on my Lenovo Flash drive are mixed with both fast memory chips that work fine with ReadyBoost and slower memory chips that are too slow for ReadyBoost. Apparently, after I fill up the portion of memory with data that uses the slow chip(s) then ReadyBoost works fine with the fast chip(s). I also verified the Flash drives read and write memory speeds using Vista's Event Viewer. To work with ReadyBoost the Flash drive has to read at a minimum of 2.5MB/s (for 4KB random reads) and write at a minimum of 1.75MB/s (for 512KB random writes).
Let me know what you find out.

Is there some way to keep Safari from opening a new tab when clicking on a link?

When one clicks on a link on a page in Safari a new tab is opened. This is fine if the link is to a different site. However, it is annoying when navigating through the pages of a single site such as is required, for example, in on-line banking. Firefox seems to be smarter in this regard, opening a tew tab in the former case but not in the latter. Is there some way to keep Safari from opening a new tab each time?

Is there a way to bring back link information at the bottom-left when highlighting a weblink or email address in FF29?

I used to use the Addon Bar in previous versions of Firefox...not sure why it was removed as a lot of people use it, but I now have the extension that brings it back. However....in previous versions of Firefox, at the bottom-left, there was a place where a link or e-mail address would be displayed if I hovered over it with the mouse cursor without clicking...that function seems to be gone now...? Is there a way to bring this function back in FF29? Also, why were separators removed....it seems like a pointlessly trivial feature to eliminate...I miss them for organizing my UI! :(

The feature that shows the link you are mousing over hasn't been removed in 29. Maybe the add-on you are using to restore the add-on bar is covering it. I've tested the Classic Theme Restorer and it seems to work correctly in this situation - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

I cannot get a new tab to open when clicking the plus sign beside an open tab or clicking the "open new tab" button via right clicking my mouse.

I can no longer get a new tab to open by clicking the new tab button. New tabs do open only when I click on a link in the current tab or by right clicking the home button and opening that specific page.

This issue can be caused by the Ask.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Is there a way to bring back the actual tab "bar"?

So in switching from FF3.6 to 5.0 I have noticed that the actual "bar" that holds the tabs is gone.

It's visually slightly annoying to not have a distinct separator between the tab area and the button toolbar, but that is something I can live with.
However I can NOT live with the extremely annoying functionality drawback that comes as a result of this. In 3.X and before you could right click anywhere in the tab bar and it would bring up the tab management menu. Now you can't bring up the menu from empty space because it treats that space as part of the rest of the UI and gives you a different menu, forcing you to mouse all the way over to a tab to accomplish the same end.
So my question is, does anyone know of a way, or an addon, that can bring back the actual tab bar? I find all of these UI changes to be nothing short of infuriating. I swear, Mozilla, Facebook, Pandora, Google, and Microsoft must all be in cahoots with each other because they're all introducing horrible UI designs at the same time.

Well I guess that's kind of cool that you can add buttons in the bar as well, but I honestly don't have a use for that and I think it would get in the way more often than not in most scenarios I can think of (there's a reason buttons were segregated from the tab bar and it wasn't tech limitations). The previous functionality is much more convienent and useful and, well, functional.
As for why FF5, well I've had the FF5 installation since before 6.0 was out, but the UI changes angered me so much that I abandoned it after about 20 minutes and went back to using my 3.6 installation; I've been letting the community stew and cook up solutions to the UI problems (status4evar for example) and like any good stew, giving it more time is better. Also a whole bunch of my addons (some of which are mission-critical to my browsing needs) were not [and a small few are still not] compatible with anything above 3.x, 4.x, or 5.x so I had to wait for those (mmm, stew). And then to top it off I figure the possibility that I'll run into upgrade problems is smaller if I go through the chain of updates rather than jumping from 3.6 straight to 7. And don't get me started on the whole rapid release schedule. :P

the main reason I loved expose was that you can move files between files with expose open.
I'm an art director so I'm constantly dragging images from one photoshop file to another, or from one window into a photoshop file, and expose made this really easy to do. I could click on a layer or file, initiate expose and drag said file or layer to a new window or document.
Now mission control is straight up pointless, other than just showing what windows are open it serves no purpose. I can't drag files between windows or open photoshop documents anymore, you can't click on a file and start to drag then double tap on your mouse to launch it.
It really is a BIG flaw in lion. Everything else is great but why would Apple remove such a powerful tool entirely?
Why no leave the option in to turn it back on like the old school scrolling (which is better as well)

Currently, the only way to get the old behavior of spaces back is to reinstall snow leopard. I am personally unaware of third party solutions, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

Is there a way to bring back old backups that no longer show on iTunes?

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 5, while restoring said phone from an old backup, it was having being a bit buggy. So I chose to backup my old iPhone 4 and it wiped it clean and backed up with only my audio files. I have lost all photos, apps, contacts, and messages.
When I tried to restore my new iPhone 5 from the previous back up, the back up did not show. the only back up that shows is the empty one.
Is there ANY way at all to find the previous back up and restore from that back up? My pictures and messages are very important to me and I just want to have them back. PLEASE give any suggestions as to how to get them back.

Itunes only saves one active backup. whenever you do a new backup the old one is overwritten

Is there any way to force bookmarks to open in new tabs? (and possible bug)

Right now the only thing that keeps this from being my regular browser over Firefox is the inability to open bookmarks in new tabs, i.e. keeping current tabs intact.
Also neither the built in scroll function on my laptop's touchpad or my usb mouse's clickwheel (clicking on the clickwheel to bring up an arrow to navigate up and down) seem to work in Safari.

Thanks for the Tip Freez3L. However, right-clicking doesn't work in the bookmarks menu. This is probabaly the reason why I'm kinda staying with Firefox.
Also, if you want to open a link in a new tab. Just press down the scroll wheel over the link. I found that this saves a lot of time compared to right clicking.

When I right-click and image to open it in a program I get a long list of programs to choose from. Many are duplicated or the same program but different version #s like Preview. How do I clean out the dupes and ones I don't want and keep the ones I do?
How would I add CS3's Adobe Camera Raw to the list?

Do a search for details on cleaning up the "open with" dialog, it's been discussed before but I'm sorry I can't remember what the fixes are.
I have duplicate choices too but have never tried to clean them up.

When alt + tab between applications firefox freezes to a black blank screen and will not move. The only response it will allow is the close option after right clicking on the task bar in English

I normally have several applications running at the same time, some of them are running 24/7/365.
When accessing the applications its easier to alt+tab between them. On the occasions that I can actually get Firefox to open and stay open it always freezes and remains immovable on the screen after switching to another program.
Firefox goes black except for the border and the close button at the top right. The other buttons disappear. Even after waiting for a period of time it does not clear.
The freeze can occur either on the first switch or second switch. However, it always happens.

Have also since found out that to start FF4 in safe mode you just hold shift whilst double-clicking the icon. We only find these things out after the event, murphy's law!
