Is there a way to customize dispositions in URM?

I have set up a retention schedule in URM with a disposition. The problem is that the disposition does not appear to be very flexible.
I have very few choices when it comes to notification. Basically I can notify the author. I need to be able to manipulate it so that it notifies an email address that has been entered into one of my custom metadata fields. I cannot figure it out though. Also, the current email that it sends needs to be modified to a custom email that will include a few of the values from my custom metadata fields.
The reason that I want to stick with using dispositions, rather than workflows, is that with dispositions, I can tell it to activate when a certain field reaches a certain date, for example when the expiration date, which has been set to seven years from now matches today’s date, the disposition will activate and send an email.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I just wanted to add an idea I had to this discussion, although I do not know how to do it...
when creating a disposition, the DO is a required field, and one of the selections under General Actions is Notify Authors.  I would like to somehow be able to add another choice there, perhaps, notify Business Managers and then have that set up to the custom metadata field.  Does anyone know how I can add an additional choice out there for the DO ?

  • Is there a way to customize scale quantize?

Is there a way to customize scale quantize? In other words, is there a way I can create my own constraining scales?

    Yes..
    Create a new Project
Go to the Project Settings screen via the menu option File: Project Settings : Tuning
Select Fixed and then click on the dropdown menu as highlighted above
Now you will see a long list that includes the following as examples...
If the Hungariian Scale isn't included (I didn't see it specifically but it may be hidden away in the long list...
Then you can click on the User option and create your own tuning scale....

  • Is there a way to customize the web form link in Adobe FormsCentral?

The dedicated link has a quite complicated address, not easily added to brochures to hand out.  Is there a way to customize the web form link in Adobe FormsCentral?

It cannot be customized. The workaround is to create your own web page and embed our form into it. That way they only see your URL.

  • Is there a way to customize categories in the pop-up menu on the Transactions page for Personal Budget without having to do it one by one?

I want to use the Personal Budget template but customize my own categories. I can change the categories on the Budget sheet and know how to add the new data to the graphs but I am having trouble on the Transactions sheet. I know when I click on a cell in the category section there is a drop down menu of catefories that I can edit in the data format option but do I have to do this for every cell? Is there a way to edit for all cells at once? Everytime I add a new cell its has the original categories and I would hate to have to format each one individually.

Set up one with the categories you want in the order you want.
Select the cell and press option-command-C to copy the format (style).
Select the cells you want to change and press option-command-V to paste the format (style) to those cells.
If all body cells in a column have the same style (in this case, 'same list'), added rows will adopt that style.

  • Is there any way to customize a repeat event in iCal on my iPad?

On my old MacBook, I was able to customize a repeat event, I.e., plan a recurring event for the first Thursday of every month, as opposed to the first of every month. I am attempting to switch to my new iPad, and cannot seem to find the function in iCal where I can do this.  Is there a way of doing this on the iPad? Or is the iPad less useful in this way too?

You can't customize events like you can in iCal on the Mac - so using your words, I would say that the iPad is less useful in that regard.

  • Is there a way to customize the IDE font?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to tweak the JDeveloper IDE so that I could specify the font for the menus and dialogs, which seems to be the default 'sans-serif';

I know, it's the least annoyance you can have, but, however, if there's a way to do it plz let me know.JDeveloper gets these fonts from the Swing Look And Feel, so there's not a way to customize it.
Rob Thx for hinting me where to search... :) Indeed, I wanted to modify all the Swing Look and Feel fonts, for any Java app that would use it.
It suffices to modify the font.properties file in the %JDeveloper installation folder%\jdk\jre\lib folder and to replace "Arial" with the desired font where desired... I replaced f.e. all Arial except Arial Black with Tahoma.
For Windows users, use Wordpad instead of Notepad, it handles Unix-style line ends better.
BTW, for seamless integration with Windows current theme settings, there is an article at
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/docs/guide/swing/1.4/w2k_props.html,
    that should work too

  • Is there a way to Customize a div Scrollbar Width or Appearance

    Hi,
I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to customize standard a div scrollbar width or appearance. Any sort of customization would be helpful.
    Thanks for your help!

Can you upload a little example to box.com?
I'm trying to implement slimScroll, perfectScrollBar, or tinyScrollBar but do something wrong because it does not work me.
The reason is that in mobile devices, native scroll bars of Edge work slowly and without inertia (you can test in http://www.VolGastronomic.com).
    Thanks.

  • Is there a way to customize the MDM Workflow email notification content?

I am looking for a way to customize the MDM Workflow email / notification  content. For example, I might want to put the Supplier ID(s) of the impacted supplier records (be it Update, Insert & Delete) into the email body or put an URL into the email body.
    Can MDM Workflow do this?
    Is there any workaround?
    Thanks

    Hi,
What you can do is add a boolean field to the repository, for instance "Send Mail". You can use an assignment in the Workflows to set this field to true. Next, define an updatelistener and pick up the change to this field. If the value is "true", send out an email. Afterwards, let the listener change the value back to "false".
    Good luck,
    Gerwin

  • Is there a way to customize keyboard shortcuts in applications?

Some applications allow keyboard shortcuts to be customized, usually in preferences, but I'm wondering if there's a way to customize keyboard shortcuts in apps that don't have this feature built in.

from Apple's OS X Help Menu:
    Create keyboard shortcuts for apps
Assign your own keyboard shortcuts to menu commands in any OS X app, including Finder. This might be useful if a global shortcut, which works the same with most apps, conflicts with a specific app shortcut. In this case, you could assign a different key combination.
You can only create keyboard shortcuts for existing menu commands. You  cannot create keyboard shortcuts for general purpose tasks such as opening an app.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Keyboard.
    Open Keyboard preferences for me
Click Shortcuts, select App Shortcuts, then click Add (+).
Click the Application pop-up menu, then choose an app. If you want to set the same key combination for a menu command that appears in many apps, choose All Applications.
If the app you want to select doesn’t appear in the list, choose Other, then locate it using the Open dialog. Some apps may not allow you to set keyboard shortcuts.
Type the menu command for which you want to set a keyboard shortcut in the Menu Title field.
You must type the command exactly as it appears in the Application menu, including ellipses and any other punctuation. To type an ellipsis, use three periods without spaces.
Click in the Keyboard Shortcut field, press the key combination that you want to assign to the menu command, then click Add (+).
You can’t use each type of key (for example, a letter key) more than once in a key combination.
Quit and restart any apps you’re using for the new keyboard shortcut to take effect.
If you assign a keyboard shortcut that already exists for another command or another app, your new shortcut won’t work. Find the menu command that’s using it, then reassign the keyboard shortcut for that item.
To remove a customized shortcut, click Delete (–).

  • Is there a way to customize the toolbar/ruler in TextEdit? i.e. add buttons

I've become so annoyed by various aspects and quirks of MicrosoftWord that I'm trying to wean myself off it and migrate over to TextEdit as a simpler, faster and more stable day-to-day default word processing program.
In TextEdit's "Rich Text" mode, with the ruler/toolbar showing, there are only a few standard drop-down menus and buttons: Styles, Paragraph-align, Spacing and Lists. Is there a way to add new buttons or drop-down menus to this default selection? One of the few nice things about MSWord is that one could customize the toolbar. I'd expecially like to add simpler font-formatting buttons like "Strikethru" and font-sizes to TextEdit. I realize these things can be accessed via the "Fonts" floating window (command-T), but that's a whole extra keystroke and having to reach across the screen.
I presume there isn't a way to add these custom formatting buttons, but I just wanted to make sure.

  • Is there a way to customize Automatic Import?

I really like this feature, but is usually reaches a certain cut in the mini DV it doesn't like, and stops/rewinds. I get back to my iMac with a "38 minutes of video were imported" message for a 60 minute tape.
Is there a way to tweak the 'automatic' setting so that it plays the entire tape? I like 'rewind; import; rewind', but it's a pita to have to cue through an entire tape to find the spot that wasn't imported the first time...

If you aren't doing this already, it is good to forward the tape all the way to the end manually, then rewind it all the way manually. Tapes get out of whack after being stored, and you can increase the chances of a clean import by doing the forward-rewind bit. Saves time in the long run.

  • Is there a way to customize safari bookmarks' icons

I guess the question says it all.
I would like to customize the generic bookmarks' icons in the safari Favorites page.
    Any way to do that?

What do you mean by "customize"?
If you want to change the icon for a specifc bookmarked site in the Favorites list, then lizdance40 is correct.  There is no way to change a site to use a custom icon.
If you want to change which bookmarked sites appear in the list, then the answer is yes, you can change the list of sites that appears in the list as well the order that they appear.  To change which sites appear in the Favorites list, add bookmarks to or remove bookmarks from the Favorites folder by navigating to that folder in the Boomarks pop-over (tap the Bookmarks icon to the right of the address field, then tap the Bookmarks icon, then navigate to the Favorites folder, then tap the "Edit" button).  You can also open a new tab, then press-and-hold on one icon to move it to a new location.  Just drop it when it's in place.

  • Is there any way to customize the size of windows in the presenter display?

I have updated keynote to the newest version (6.0). Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I can customize any part of the presenter display. I can add or remove windows/panels, but not resize them. Is there really no way to do this? That would be a major drawback and would certainly make me consider going back to a 4+ year-old version of Keynote.

Well, different people have different styles of giving different presentations to different audiences in different venues.
When you have given a couple thousand presentations (and I mean this number literally), you know that requirements vary.  That's why a customizable presenter display was a godsend, probably the biggest selling point that Keynote had for serious presenters.
You still can customize, turning features on and off, but you can't influence how a turned-on feature looks like size-wise.
("Looking over your shoulder" doesn't work in all venues, and probably would be recognized as the hallmark of an amateur presenter by most people in the audience who give a lot of presentations themselves.)
You can export from Keynote '13 (Keynote 6) to Keynote '09 (Keynote 5).  Keynote '09 seems to run fine on Mavericks, by the way.
Not being able to see the pointer on the presenter display when you use it to point out something on the slideshow display is one thing that was wrong in Keynote '09 and they haven't fixed in Keynote '13.
(Now what I really want to get back is an alternative mode where I can edit the presentation on one screen and show it on the other at the same time...
Powerpoint in Windows was great for that.  But that's a completely different style of presentation again.)

  • Is there a way to customize sticky notes to have "form" content or check off lists that can be added?

I am looking to see if there is a way to create "form" sticky notes that I could chose the form and it pre-loads certain check lists or certain information on that sticky note - to help everybody put info that needs to be put on a particular document on that document.

    Hi Tim,
The scenario here is not clear to me.
You cannot customize sticky notes, except those mentioned in the sticky notes properties.
It seems to me that you are referring to shared reviews here.
In that case you might want to check the docs:
