Is there a way to find stated interest rate on HP 12C?

Help, I am trying to get compute the "stated interest rate" on the HP 12c given the PV is 1000 and FV is 1061.68 and n is 12 ( 1year compounded monthly). I keep getting Error 5 when I enter these inputs and then press i. I even played around with the sign conventions. Nothing works. The answer is 6, but I am trying to obtain the result on the calculator.

It is about the direction of movement of the money:
$1000 is paid into the account (+ve)
$1061.68 is what you can take out of the account at the end of the specified period, thus -ve (even if you don't actually want to withdraw it at that stage).
Note that the opposite convetion is also used (e.g. in the 12C manual "The Cash Flow Sign Convention" p36):
$1000 is paid into the account, i.e. money you pay out (-ve)
$1061.68 is what you can take out of the account at the end of the specified period, i.e. money you receive (+ve).

Not unless it goes back online. If it was stolen it may have been restored, in which case it will never appear again in Find My iPhone.

So the app actually has some bearing, not much, but it's there. I was merely stating that without either the app, or iCloud, then no, he cannot track it. But he can use iCloud because he possibly has Find My iPhone activated.

I'm a bit new to this discussion group thing although I've been using Macintosh computers for many years (showing my age).
I handed my MacBook Pro to be repaired at an authorised apple service centre. When I handed it in they said they needed to keep hold of it to run some diagnostics and requested my password. I've owned various models of mac for the the past 17 years and this is the first hardware problem I have encountered, hence I have never bothered to set up user accounts.
As I live in quite a remote part of Sweden I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web. Is there a way of finding out what activity has taken place whilst they've had it in their possession?
I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.

PS: I've already thought about the 'recently opened' menu and The machine in question is a MacBook Pro 17" (2011) running OS X 10.6.8 (need Rosetta).

If you put your info into the computer and hand it to another, you have to assume they will copy everything.
Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?

No. The tech would just deny it if he did, or tell the truth which the answer would be "NO" in either case.
The employer won't ask that sort of questions without solid proof, less they make a enemy of the employee and/or risk being sued for defamation of character.
It's not like they bother to have a team of people watching over his shoulder that he doesn't stick a USB thumb drive of your data into his pocket to take home.

If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.

Too late now, all you can do is not worry about it.
Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.

Here are the steps I though I took this morning:
Backup iPad
Connect to iTunes and downlaod newest version of iTunes and then newest iOS
restart Vista Laptop
upgrade to newest iOS
I knew somethign was wrong when it took about 6 hours to upgrade the iPad
at the end it errored with this message error (-50), but the upgrade worked
I was expecting to see all my photos but didn't see them
I have tried a restore to a back up 2 times. The first time took 3 hours and just sort of timed out - it kept saying that there was an hour to go
I tried it again 2 hours ago and same message.
They are very valuable to me and so now I am panicking

But i foung a mail in my account having 35690 email addresses in to list.
So fetching all these addresses is not worth full for me.
So is there any way to find how many addresses are there in to and cc list before actually fetching them?

I restarted iphoto and realized that the photos had disapered. The events are availbble into iphoto but they are empty, the photos have dispeared. I can not believe they disapeared as they have been imported and read once, they must be hidden somewhere on the disk? Is there a way to find where they are?

Assuning you're running iPhoto 9 or later try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database.

No, sorry, there is no way you can get that information. The police perhaps could, but it would probably require a court order and it's unlikely the police will go to those lengths unless they have reason to believe that this theft was not an isolated instance and hence worth more of their time than the single theft of an iPod.
Even if they got the ID, it may well just be yours. Apple's registration database often contains such errors; I get the same message for some of my devices when I know I registered them to my Apple ID and the devices are all still right here.

you did purchase your product from these firms like Amazon, so you didn't get a serial number, only a code with which you can request a serial number from Adobe. Please have a look at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html. (Start here: How did you purchase your product?)
The following part, so I just see at least, ceased to exist on my Adobe website, everything takes place in the link from above. I leave it as an info yet, it might still fit for you. For this purpose, please click your way through to your Adobe Store and find the button "Get Serial Number". Fill in the form and after a while you will get the real serial number.
Additionally you should have a look at Adobe's database, to see what's stored/saved about your accounts. Here you will find general infos about your Adobe Account.
