Is there a way to forward *all* my emails (from Mail to gmail)?

I'm switching accounts with my ISP (Verizon, long story, not really relevant) and I can't keep the same username, I want to forward all the emails I've kept in Apple Mail to my Gmail account and use that from now on for everything.
There are only about 150 of them in there, but I'm looking for a way to send them all without doing them by hand individually (I did command-A and selected all of them but it said it was too big (27MB, 21MB limit) to send through my server (I deleted as much as I could, I realize I could split them in half but ideally I'd do a batch of all of them but arriving at Gmail *individually*).
Can this be done? Thanks

Yes that's what I meant by splitting it up, but ideally I want to have each email arrive individually (without forwarding each one by hand—but I don't know if it's possible).

  • Is there a way to delete all my email messages in my inbox at once?

Is there a way to delete all my email messages in my inbox in one move, rather than selecting one at a time, then deleting?

You CAN delete all your email.  Here's how: >> Open Inbox >> Edit  >> Check/select the top message; it will highlight the move button. >> Press and hold the move button and uncheck the message that you had checked earlier. >> Lift all your fingers off from the ipad screen and leave it alone. Wait until all your messages pile up on the right hand portion of the screen (in ipad); iphone will give you the actual number of emails it has selected for the action. Now they are just waiting for your command to be moved ALL at once. >> Choose trash to delete all of them or any other folder where u want to move them, like one piece. Remember this will replicate your action on the server so you will ACTUALLY move them or delete them on the server and not just the ipad. Once you have moved all messages to the trash you can either leave them there for the scheduled cleaning or empty it right away by doing this: go to trash folder and touch Edit. The Delete All button shows up at the bottom of the screen. Hit it! You’re done! If you do not see the effects of your actions on the server make sure you have enabled your email accounts for such actions.

  • HT201210 My itouch screen froze showing "plug to itunes" after trying to update to iOS6. Is there any ways to export all the pictures from it before restoring?

My itouch screen froze showing "plug to itunes" after trying to update to iOS6. It still can be turned on and off. But the screen froze showing that message. I perhaps need to restore it. But is there any ways to export all the pictures from it before restoring?

Only if y can get the iPod out of recovery mode with the program. Otherwise you will have to restore via iTunes which erases the iPod.

    Hello cgbuehling
You can, but only the purchases that were made from the iTunes Store. Other content that was imported from a CD or other sources will not transfer over.

  • Is there a way of swapping all data over from one ipad to another ipad and vice verse?

Another family member and I both have iPad 3, they have with 3g and mine just wifi. We are discussing swapping so I can have the 3g feature as its more useful for me. Is there a way of swapping all their data to my ipad and my data to their ipad so it is a straight swap?

What you want to do would be no different that restoring your current content to a brand new iPad. You should both do as described below and then erase your respective devices and make the swap.
First ... and you both want to do this.... Transfer purchases from your iPad into iTunes on your computer, backup the iPad and then sync with iTunes.
These two articles will explain how to do that.
    Transfer purchases.

How to backup and restore from a backup
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
You may want to import photos from the device to your computer as well so that you can sync them back at a later time. Your camera roll photos are stored in the backup, but it never hurts to be proactive.
    Read about importing photos here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
After you have transferred purchases, backed up and transferred photos, you can erase your iPad before you swap devices. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. That will completely wipe your devices.
Now you can swap and you will both be starting from scratch like you did when the iPad was new.
When you re-activate the new iPad, the one you are getting from your family member - toward the end of the activation process you will be given the opportunity to restore from an iCloud or iTunes backup. You want to select the iTunes option. So you will have to connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and restore from the backup and then sync with iTunes.
Restoring from the backup will recover all of you app data and settings, syncing with iTunes will recover all of your apps, books, photos, music and other media

  • Is there a way to extract ALL my music from my ipod touch 1st gen?

My ipod touch has been really gritty and slow the past few months and im planning in getting a new touch. But ive manually installed music onto it from random computers but i want keep my recent music. I have around 2,000 songs.
So is there a way to extract all that? I dont really care about my videos, apps, or pic's.
    Im running on windows.

iTunes will only give you the option to copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
Purchased applications can be downloaded over again, see this article for details: How to redownload purchased applications from the App Store
For everything else (music from CDs etc.) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod Touch or iPhone. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer data (such as playcounts and ratings), movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well.

  • Is there a way of getting all my songs from my iPod to my itunes, not just the purchased ones?

Basically, our computer crashed not long ago, and since then we have had all the stuff from our old computer taken and put on the admin of a our new computer.  However, my music files seem to have disappeared, including the ones that were in Windows Media Player that were also on my iPod (a nano).  I connected my iPod to iTunes after downloading it from the Apple website, but only the songs I have purchased from iTunes Store have been transfered to the iTunes library.  Is there a way I can retrieve all the other non-Apple files from my iPod to the iTunes library, thus making it safe to sync them both without fear of losing more songs?
    Thank you!!

We can't recommend a product, but we can point you to the direction of iLounge which they will know what currenty works to bring all your files off your iDevice back into iTunes.
I also have some recovery options and advice here:
    Recovery options:
    A: If Windows isn't booting:
You need to boot the computer from a "recovery disk or USB" that has a operating system on it and a graphical user interface to transfer files from your boot drive to a external drive.
I suggest using the Easy USB Installer to install Ubuntu 10.10 onto a 2-4 GB USB key.
    http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/
    or
burn a ISO of Ubuntu 10.10 or PartedMagic to a cd-r with ImgBurn or Win 7 right click and burn
You can use Disk Utility in OS X to select the ISO and burn to cd/dvd as well.
Once you have it installed, consult this page for your BIOS boot key to hold to get into the BIOS.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/a/biosaccess_pc.htm
Plug the USB into the back (if possible) of the computer, connect the external drive and enter the BIOS, set the USB (or CD) as first boot and SAVE.
Boot off the USB/CD and "Try Ubuntu/Run from disk" DON'T INSTALL. (Parted Magic loads into RAM and ejects CD)
Once in, go under the menu Places > Computer and transfer your files to the external drive just like you would in Windows, drag and drop.
(If using Parted Magic double click on the Mount Drive left icon twice, use the two GUI windows to transfer files to external drive, unmount drives, log out/quit in the lower left corner menu option)
B: If the computer hardware isn't working, but the drive might still work:
You'll have to remove the power cord and manually extract the hard drive. This might result in some damage.
There is a powered IDE/SATA to USB adapter for sale online for $20 that you can take that internal hard drive and use it like a external drive to access your files from another Windows machine.
C: If your iTunes content is deleted...
It might be recoverable if it hasn't been overwritten yet by fresh data. Undelete software works by reading the 1's and 0's of the files themselves, not what the OS says.
You need to use undelete software pre-installed before the iTunes content was deleted, or while on a bootable cd/USB and a external drive to transfer the recovered files.
You can also install undelete type software on a new machine and USE STEP B above to "undelete" the files and recover them directly to the new computer.
You can't install undelete software or recover files to the same drive your attempting to recover from or it overwrites the deleted data.
D: If the hard drive doesn't work and...
The data isn't worth spending $2000-$3000 in a ATTEMPT at platter dissection recovery, then your finished
If the data on the drive was encrypted, data recovery efforts may be futile, unless it's a encypted file and you transfer it successfuly and have the password to de-crypt it.
E: If you have a "iDevice" with any content
It can be synced back into iTunes, check at iLounge what third party software works reliably now and for your version.
Once you log into your iTunes account, you can sync ONLY iTunes purchased content back from a iDevice
Third party software can recover just about all the items on a iDevice, regardless of it's origin. (can't recommend such software here)
F: If any of the above is too hard, or the data is of "critical importance"
Then seek professional computer or forensic level recovery services.
Get help from someone who has done this sort of thing repeatly and can almost guaranty 100% results.
There is Linux software that can "rip" all data off a iOS device if that level of attention is needed, seek a professional service.
Hope this helps in your data recovery efforts.
Please, backup your data, it's the only thing us IT professionals can't recover.

  • Is there a way to have all (exchange) email on iPad even when offline?

I would like to have access to my work (exchange) email when offline (travelling). Is there a way of keeping a selected amount on my iPad, not just the most recent items?

Thanks. I was already aware of this setting.
The issue is that I use a number of folders and unless I manually open each one a sync whilst online, when offline the only emails that are available are those from the last sync, e.g. there is no automatic, background synchronisation of folders not in use.
    Ideas?

  • HT4847 Is there any way to restore all my apps from Setting iCloud Manage Storage ?

i locked my ipod then i restart my ipod all over again, so i was wondering if i could restore all my apps that way?
if so, could anyone tell me how??
by the way its an ipod 5~

    No.
If you backed up your device to iCloud before restoring it, you can restore it from the backup when setting it up.
Otherwise you can just re-download all your apps from iCloud in the Purchased tab of the AppStore.

  • Is there any way to send all calls to voice mail until further notice?

I am looking for a way to send calls to voice mail until "further notice", a toggle that will send (or stop sending) all calls to voice mail automatically.  I know that a double tap on the top power button will send the current call to voice mail, but it would be nice to be able to send all to voice mall say during an important meeting.

Glad it helped. Sometimes, the simple solutions are the best.

  • Is there a way to prevent Gift Voucher Email from going to Spam folder?

Everytime I send an email to someone with a Gift Voucher or Discount Code from the system generated emails, they always end up in the Spam folder on GMail, Yahoo, etc.
Is there a way to prevent emails from being labeled as Spam with this system?

    Hi Mario,
    We have this problem too.
We have a vaid From email address and ours is hoted with you and your info link above says "If you are choosing to host your domain with us there is no need to do anything here. Based on our system architecture we are generating that SPF record so that all the emails sent from this domain will have include all the IPs from where emails are being sent and make sure that you will pass the SPF check."
Yet our gift vouchers and also our newsletters are ALL going to spam. It's happening to both our business catalyst sites - so is Business Catalyst being marked as a spammer and affecting us?

  • Is there a way to mass export my email from hotmail or Windows as  PDF or RTF to my hard drive?

I realize that this is probably considered a microsoft question but I am posting it here in hopes someone can suggest something for me.
I don't really want to merge all those old "Identities"  but would rather export them (a bunch at a time) to a rich text format to my hard drive.
A huge PDF file with all my emails on it would be acceptable to me.

If you have been backing up on Timemachine.
All you need to do is enter time machine... Then the rest is obvious.
Find the iTunes folder and hit 'Restor'.
If not the only way to get all your iTunes music back is to enter iTunes Store.
On the right hand side you should see 'Purchased'.
Click 'purchased' and there you have it.

  • Is there a way to recover my stored emails from the version of Thunderbird I had on my Windows XP system that was upgraded to Windows 8?

I can find the folder Windows.old and locate the Thunderbird files in there, but can't find any old email info. Do they exist and if so where to find them?

If you currently have personal data in Thunderbird, the safest thing to do is to use the ImportExportTools add-on. See the second link if you need more detailed usage instructions than those provided in the description.
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Importing_folders
If you need to transfer other data besides mail, see the following article.
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Thunderbird
If you don't have any personal data in Thunderbird at the moment, then you can simply replace everything in your current profile with data from your old profile:
    # Click the '''≡''' menu icon in the top right.
    # Open the '''Help''' menu and choose '''Troubleshooting Information'''.
    # Click the '''Show Folder''' button. This opens a Windows Explorer window with your current profile.
    # Click the '''≡''' menu icon and choose '''Exit'''.
    # Create a backup copy of your current profile folder.
    # Select all files in your current profile folder ('''Ctrl+A'''), then press the '''Delete''' key to erase them.
    # Open a new Windows Explorer window and navigate to your old profile folder.
    # Copy all files and subfolders from the old profile folder into the current one.
    You're welcome.
