Is there a way to get a transcript of text messages?

Trying to figure out how to or if one can get a transcript of text messages between themselves and another person.

    Hi MikeJosephH,
Thank you for your inquiry today. I certainly understand the importance of being aware of available options. My sincere apologies that we would be unable to furnish a transcript of message conversations. If this is needed fir legal purposes, a transcript can be provided via court order. Please keep us posted of any additional questions you may have, thanks!

  • Is there any way i can recieve my sons text messages on my phone

i have a 14 year old son is there any way i can recieve the same text messages on my phone as he gets

I see no reason to think this would not be legal.
Your son is not old enough to enter into a cell phone agreement with Verizon, so I assume YOU are the account owner. There is no law keeping you from putting an app on YOUR phone to track the texting history from YOUR phone. Whether or not he will be able to notice this app running in the background and disabling it is another matter entirely.
If you are unable to find/use an app for such a task, then what mdram4x4's suggestion is the only way. Of course, if your son only has a basic phone, the chance for an app which would do this is not very likely.

  • Is there any way to get rid of the audio message that I have unlimited minutes when I make a call? I want that 10 seconds of my life back :)

When I make a call I get an audio message that I have unlimited minutes and then dial the number. Is there any way to get rid of that message? Because I really want to get back those 10 seconds back, Ha, Ha, not!

Whoever thought this new search box GUI was a good idea was mistaken IMHO.
I've used the method shown above to return it to the old constant icon/text display with instantly available drop down of my alternative chosen search engines. All back to how it was in the previous version. Yay!
Displaying the chosen default search engine icon/text in the search box just seems a better and more sensible GUI feature to me than needing to hover over the box to show the same information (minus icon) . As for having to start entering search terms before the other search engine options become available - that is just plain ill conceived design.
The old design is more user friendly and should be the default setting but if some users want the new GUI for the search box why not include that under Tools > Options?

  • Is there any way I can download my received text messages to my computer

I have a BB 8830 World Edition.  Is they any way I can download my received text messages to my computer.  If so, how?  Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

To backup/store your messages use Blackberry Desktop Manager software.
Connect your device to the PC.
    Run the  Blackberry Desktop Manager
Select "Backup and Restore" icon on the application window
Click on "Advanced" button and select the information that has to be stored.
When backup completes - there is a *.ipd file on your computer created. It contains all necessary information.
Later you can write information from this file to the blackberry device with the same mechanism.
For now there is no such a standard application to read stored messages on PC Computer.
Try to find third-party applications for that purpose.

  • Can I get a transcript of text messages for a particular time frame, without a court order?

I would like to obtain a transcript of text messages from the last 2-3 weeks from a particular number to mine.  Will Verizon do this without a court order?

No, once you delete them they are gone unless you have backed them up in some form.
SMS Backup & Restore would be one such program which will back up your messages for future reference. It won't help with messages you have already deleted before performing the backup.

  • Is there a way to block someone from sending Text Messages ONLY?

I would like to block a family member from sending text messages but I do not want to restrict calling abilities in case of an emergency.
I have gone to My Verizon>>Safeguards but this option only seems to allow you to block on an "All or Nothing" basis.
Is there a way to prevent someone from sending you text messages while still allowing phone calls?

Thanks for your response. I have an I Phone (I Messages) but the party that I want to block does not have an I Phone.

  • Is there any way to forward/archive/access regular text messages if you have to erase your phone and re-set it as a new phone?

I have some major errors in my operating system and was told that I have to erase my phone and then set it up as a new phone.  I have a lot of messages I'd like to be able to keep and have access to after the reset.  Is there any way to copy/sore/archive them?

if you have a mac and have it set that way, they are archived on the mac.

  • Is there a way to add your signature to text messages without typing it in with each one on the Iphone 4S?

Is there a way to add your signature to your texts on the Iphone 4S, without typing it in on each text?  Heard this was a mistake on the Iphone 4S--hope i is fixed by now....

Just discovered how to do it:  Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars, scroll down to Signature:  and where it says "from my Iphone on messages - delete it and add your name, and/or phone no--whatever you like...doesn't take up much space...This is apparently the "fix" the Iphone 4S did....
It did not originally come out with that on it...now it is there - must have come in an update..
    Thanks for all your help!

  • I have the old iphone 3g and haved ordered 4s.  Is there a way to save your phone and text messages from old phone

I have an old iphone 3g with ATT and have ordered the 4s with verizon.  Is there a way to save phone messages and text to new phone?

Don't believe so - I don't believe it is possible to transfer the backup for a GSM iPhone to a CDMA iPhone and vice versa.

  • Is there a way to delete and acess iPhone text messages from the computer?

I lost my iPhone and someone else has it. I would like to delete everything from it because there is no pass code on it. Is there a way to do that online?

    Hi kennedysekanina,
You can wipe your phone if you had Find My iPhone enabled on it, and if it is still online. You would do this through your iCloud account by logging onto it at iCloud.com

  • Is there any way to save or back up text messages?

I've backed up/downloaded all my photos before upgrading to a new iPhone, but haven't found a way to save my text messages.
Is it possible to save or back them up?

In addition to backing up and restoring all iPhone data, you can also back up your text messages to your computer by following the steps outlined in this tutorial: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/backup-iphone-sms/
Once you back up your iPhone to your computer, you locate the SMS backup file (on Mac it should be User > Library > Application Support > MobileSync > Backup) and then upload that file to http://www.iphone-sms.com/
That allows you to save the text messages in HTML, PDF, or Excel format.

  • HT4859 I shared itunes account with my daughter, had never synced my phone with computer, synced with computer and chose daughter's phone instead of create new phone, all phone contacts are now gone replaced with daughter's - is there no way to get contac

I shared itunes account with daughter's phone, never synced my phone with home computer through itunes, synced tonight with itunes but choose her iphone and it restored all her info on my phone, all my phone contacts, text messages and photos are gone  - I had auto backup to icloud daily - is there any way to get phone numbers and texts back off icloud?

If you have been backing up to iCloud your camera roll photos, text messages and other data and setting should be contained in the backup.  Restoring the backup to the phone should recover them.
To do this, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings (which will erase the phone), then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts.  Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.

  • Is there a way of getting a "schedule view" in iCal on a mac and on iPad in the same way you can get one on iPhone?

I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web.
If you put your info into the computer and hand it to another, you have to assume they will copy everything.
Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?
    Have you lost your mind?
Is there a way of finding out what activity has taken place whilst they've had it in their possession?
No. The tech would just deny it if he did, or tell the truth which the answer would be "NO" in either case.
The employer won't ask that sort of questions without solid proof, less they make a enemy of the employee and/or risk being sued for defamation of character.
It's not like they bother to have a team of people watching over his shoulder that he doesn't stick a USB thumb drive of your data into his pocket to take home.
I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks)
If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.
I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.
Too late now, all you can do is not worry about it.
Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.
