Is there a way to import the iPhoto (9.2.1) database of photos into a folder so that I may use Canon's Solution Menu EX software to print on a Pixma MG5220 ? I do not want to remove the existing photo's from iPhoto but transfer them to a folder that the Canon software will recognize.

I don't think you can connect a printer since you won't have the printer drivers. I use FingerPrint from collobos.com to print to my non-AirPrint printers.

What do I have to do to bring iPhoto up so that I can use the program?
This morning we received a software update for iPhoto (36MB) immediately after this download and installation we received a second software update for iPhoto (57.7MB). Shortly after finishing the second update I tried to open iPhoto to work on a slideshow of holiday activities.
I went to:
Dock > iPhoto
Message: " The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto."
upgrade ( I clicked on the upgrade button)
"Loading photos... " " Examining Photo Library "
Everything stopped.
New screen: " There is a problem accessing one or more files in your iPhoto Library folder. >Finder, >iPhoto Library, >get info., ... check read/write permissions."
I proceeded as directed. Permissions were all read/write for the iPhoto Library folder.
I went back to iPhoto... repeat of problem.
What do I have to do to bring iPhoto up so that I can use the program.Welcome to the Apple Discussions. What was updated and did you repair disk permissions after it was completed?
As a first fix attempt download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, putting your administartive name in the owner and group sections. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. The landscape and portrait mode when AirPlaying your iPhone to the Apple TV will depend on the app you are in on the iPhone.
For example, the home screen on your iPhone is in portrait mode even if you rotate the phone, so if you are AirPlay mirroring this, it will show in portrait mode on the TV. If you have photos taken in landscape mode and rotate your phone or watch a video in landscape mode, then the video should appear in landscape mode on the TV.

If your phone is locked to AT&T, you can certainly travel & use your phone, but you'll have to get AT&T to provision your account for International use...select the country/countries & plan. This is very expensive, as the roaming partners set the rates & you generally pay through the nose.
And no, you can't use a local sim if your phone is locked to AT&T. -

You can't delete all cookies if you want to preserve some of them.
You will have to let all cookies expire when you close Firefox and create an allow exception for cookies that you want to keep and only clear cookies manually and not via Clear Recent History.

I'm attempting to create a calibration program, using the printer port, and a Vernier Serial Box by modifying a calibration program designed for the serial box.
There are six calibration points, and to collect them, I have it controlled by while loops so that the numbers are taken when a button is pushed, and this is inside a sequence structure so that I can get the six different points. I feed these numbers into two different arrays (for x and y values) and then try to use the linear coefficient analysis on these points, but the values for the slope and intercepts it returns are not correc

If I cut out the array and coefficient analysis, and feed the same numbers in directly without the while loop and sequence structures, it produces the proper values... I don't know why the numbers it is producing are different, and I'd really like to know.

Karinne.I would use a data manager sub-vi that would be called by each from of the sequence structure that produced a data point. The data manager sub-vi could auto append new items or could place items in a specific entry of an array. Later on when you want to calculate the linear fit, call the sub-vi to return the array of values.

How can I turn my ipod on remotely so that I can use the Find my Iphone app (sound mode) to find it
I have a ipod 5 gen and I lost it somewhere around the house. I've used the Find My Iphone app, but it indicates that its offline. So I'm guessing it ran out of battey or its turned off. That's why I am asking if theres anyway that I could turn my ipod back on in order for the sound to be played from FMI app. Thanks alot for any future help.

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

The new itunes overfills the window on my desktop ( windows 7). When I move it to the left so that I can access the slidebar on the right, part of the left side of the screen then disappears. How do I correct this?
The problem of tracks becoming de-linked between iTunes and the music files in your iTunes music folder happens for different reasons - this seems to come up fairly commonly in this forum.
The solution can be to locate each song in the iTunes library, as you mentioned - or, but wait, before I get to that...
trouble finding the original track in your iTunes music folder? maybe look for it under compilations, or if not using the 'group compilations preference' then look in the folder under the songs artist name, but what song artist name iTunes uses depends on what you have in the metedata tag spot for album artist or song artist. Any varyation in artist name spelling, in the menu item 'get info' metadata for any selected individual track will cause iTunes to create that as a separate artist folder in the library, even names like 'various' or any difference at all (even the word 'the' can change where in your iTunes music folder a track gets placed by iTunes). You can try to use the finder function of find file (finder munu item outside of iTunes) to locate hard to find items.
Back to how to re-link any de-linked tracks .
There may be scripts that can help re-link de-linked music files - or, at least provide you a list of such files, Scripts are easy to install and use...

No. You would have to convert it to a video format that your phone can handle, then sync it over and view the video. I'm sure there are ways to do this, but I don't have direct experience with them as I have no use for flash content.
