Just delete the same songs from your library in iTunes. Select the first song, hold the shift key, select the last song (which will select everything in between) and press delete.

I was using the swipe feature on my iPhone to delete off about 1000 songs that were on my iPhone that I had no use for. I do not want these at all and now I'm trying to match my iTunes to my iPhone. Is there a way to do this? I have an iPod that I would like to have the same songs on it and I can't figure out how to do this other than just do the same thing I spent a lot of time doing on the iPhone. Which seems dumb to have to do.

Is there a way to use PM4.0 with Windows XPH without purchasing the latest suite or upgrades? I origionally purchased a suite with Pagemaker, Photostyler and Freehand just before Aldus went Adobe, and Win3.1 went Win95, then WinME and WinXP. I miss PM and have several manyscripts saved on PM4.0 and can not export or import them to any current wordprocessing programs. I was very far into one manuscript and am now in a position to finish it up but don't want to have to purchase a whole suite in order to do so. Any suggestions for this old tightwad? I think I have a WinME PC in the garage, which if you can re-format with DOS 5 and install Win3 instead (I may have the disks in the garage too), PM4 will positively scream along.
I reckon it's non starter on a modern WinXP PC, as the OS is so different, but if you're willing to experiment, you never know!
But if you want to open some old files to extract the text, you can open the PM4 files and save them with a d/l'ed trial copy of PM7, which will be OK on WinXP

is there a way to have itunes see the ipod shuffle it worked for three months even though when you hit the itune icon it say itunes is not installed correctly. This is after you reload itunes and it say successfull install have removed and reloaded itunes at least 5 times. Apple is of little help have spent hour on thier diagnostics. one thing odd it says to remove a program called quicktime that i never find.

Here is an example: we go on vacation, she takes 250 photos, edits twenty of the best shots, and uploads three to facebook. I want to make an album including some of the edited shots and some of the less perfect but still fun shots - so I need all 250 photos - uploading that many photos to a photosharing site takes forever even if she did it - but she won't. I used to just hijack her computer for a day, but I'd like to be able to hijack her iphoto library without stealing her computer...if possible!

Is there a way to make movies open with the same screen size and position?

Hello, I'm a new mac guy having just bought an i-mac a few months ago.
I have a bunch of saved movies that open in quick time. Each time I open a separate movie by double clicking the file, the window opens in the upper right hand corner in a fairly small window. I must then drag the window size and location to a much larger size. I do this every time.
I saw under quicktime, preferences, a section about preferences for full screen. This seems to work one time, for that movie, but all subsequent movies (even in full screen) or their same size.
Is there a way to make the window size and/or location permanent?

This is really annoying for me. I just transferred my music from a legacy iMac to my newer machine. That process itself was a pain in the behind, because I was also going form iTunes 10 to iTunes 11, but that's neither here nor there.
However, in the course of doing this, I had the dubious pleasure of logging in with my Apple Id multiple times. As I almost never use iTunes to buy music anymore (I honestly wouldn't bother using it at all if a lot of my music didn't have that old drm from years ago), I can never remember this thing. Is there a way to store my Apple Id password within iTunes so I don't have to dig it out the one or two times a year I actually use it?

Are you sharing one AppleID or do you have separate IDs?
If you have separate AppleIDs, then it's easiest to create a user account for each of you on the computer, and log into iTunes with your respective IDs on each account. This will keep everything separate. There is no problem authorizing content for multiple AppleIDs on the same computer.
HOWEVER, you can only re-download, auto-download, or use Match for one AppleID *per computer* (not per account), and this can only change every 90 days.
If you share an AppleID, then in principle, you can sync both devices to the same user account, but it's difficult to separate contact lists, so it's still easiest to have two user accounts, even if you use the same AppleID on each. This will allow you have separate contact and calendar lists; however, you will NOT have the option of syncing them to the cloud (make sure to turn this option OFF), as having a single AppleID would cause them to merge.

Adding to what JG said, you can also purchase a prepaid iTunes card, available from most grocery store and discount chains in the US and other countries, and use that. You will need to enter in your address information, but you won't need a credit card.

Can you give me a bit more detail please? I might be able to help. Do you mean for example like it asks a question? There are 4 choices, and you have to choose one as the right answer? (Like a school Multiple Choice Test)

Without exact system info we cannot know. There could be any number of reasons why it thinks it isn't compatible and generic "It's Windows 8.1" don't help.
