Is there a way to only download quicktime 7.1.3 and not 7.1.6?

Quicktime 7.1.6 is not compatible with another program I need to use and iTunes says it needs at least 7.1.3 to work. Is there a way I can download that version and not the newer one?

After searching Apple Downloads, the only other version 7 I could find was 7.1.5. Would that help you at all?

One method you can use, along with optimizing your website for increased loading efficiency in browsers, is to publsh to a folder on your hard drive and use Web Site Maestro to optimize and upload only the new or modified files with its Smart Handling feature.

Are you referring to @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com emails? Or some other email providers emails?
If the former, it should do that automatically. If the latter, no. iCloud does not (nor is it supposed to) sync non-Apple provided emails.

If you have more than 1 mac on a local network there... you can access firewire drives attached to other Macs if they are first set up to "allow windows guests" under system preferences>SharePoints. Windows 7 conveniently sees these "other macs" and their windows-friendly drives in windows Network view. My FW drives are easy to read and write too even though the are formatted Extended (Journaled).
I'm not sure if there is any downside to this method... such as long file paths becoming broken down the road in back up situations. I have used these Mac drives in a network setting for awhile without consequence.

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

You can download your movies and tv shows to your iTunes library (depending on your location) as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519.
What you are seeing is "iTunes in the Cloud", which is a separate service that allows you to download previously purchased media from the iTunes and App store. This does not require setting up an iCloud account so it's likely you don't have one. (If you don't want to see this previously purchased media available for download in your iTunes library, you can open iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Store and uncheck "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases".)

In the past you could overlap text boxes, but now when I place a text box to close to another it will completely make the other disappear. Is there something I need to change in my pages setting to allow this function, or do I just need to use the iWork 09?

ANSWER:
-click "Format" (the paint brush on the top right hand side of the window)
-click "Arrange" (3rd box on the top right hand side of the window)
-Under "Text Wrap" you will see a drop down menu that defaults to "Automatic"
-click "Automatic" and select "None"
You will have to do this for each text box. Once thats done you can move the boxes as close as you want.

If you don't want to pay for service every month or don't want to pay for data then just buy an iPod touch. An 4S without service or data is a big waste of money.

That is a setting in your browser that tells it what to do with an MP3 file. For example, if you are using Firefox, go to Options > Applications. For "MP3 Format Sound," change it from QuickTime to "Always Ask."
Other browsers have similar settings.

[Solved] Pacman: is there an option to only download updates

I cannot find a way to only download packages and install them later. My use case: I have a laptop and a fast connexion at university and I would like to download the packages there. Since I am working, downloading is okay, but installing requires more computing power and regurlarly freezes my machine, which I'd like to avoid. I would like to run the installing part later, say at home for instance.
The manual indicates -w to be an option, but when I run
# pacman -Sw
I get
error: no target specified
as if I must indicate a package name.
I expected to be able to run
pacman -Syw
at work, and then
pacman -Su
at home.
Is there an option hidden in one of my config files preventing me to do this? Or another way to do it?

Yes, you can copy songs that you ripped from a CD to your Home Sharing computer.
Turn on Home Sharing first on both computers. To do that, go to File > Home Sharing > Turn on Home Sharing. Enter your Apple ID and password.
Now go to your computer that you want to copy the songs to and connect to your Home Share. You can do that by clicking on the popover button located at the left top corner right below the play control buttons. Click on it and scroll to the bottom until you see your Home Share and select it.
Go to Music in your Home Share. Select the songs that you want to copy in your Home Share and click Import at the bottom right corner.
