Is there a way to query organisational hierarchy via webservices / IMS API?

Hi,
I'm trying to figure it out for a while but with no success... What I'd like to do is getting information on organisational hierarchy (a user's subordinates) via either the WS API or the IMS / SCORM one...
Is there a way to do this?

I haven't heard of a way to do this. A persons manager is being stored, but as far as I know the whole hierarchy is being build when needed.

HT1782 Is there a way to partition my bootcamp via disk utility whithout impacting the windows 8.1 which is already installed?

I have got a new macbook pro 15 with SSD - 512Gig, RAM - 16 Gig, NVIDIA GPU - 2 Gig. I basically work on windows stuff and I heard of the bootcamp support that apple provide to install windows in their models and wanted to try the best APPLE mobile PC.
What I did:
I logged in to windows 8.1 via bootcamp and under disk management tool in windows I partitioned my bootcamp drive to add a new partition. The partition was successfully done but when I tried to bootcamp back to OSx, the diskutility did not recognise the addtional partition that i created, eventually i couldnt logon to OSx. Then I logged back in to windows 8.1 and deleted the partition and tried loggin to OSx. But now the diskutility didnot recognise any of the drives at all, and I ended up earsing all the partitions and recovered OSx via internet.
I guess the partitions cannot be modified outside the OSx itself. So is there a way to partition my bootcamp via disk utility whithout impacting the windows 8.1 which is already installed?

After using BootCamp to partition a drive, the partition map is a hybrid that Disk Utility is unable to do anything with safely as far as partitioning goes.
Try Camptune from Paragon at http://www.paragon-software.com/home/camptune/ instead.

Is there a way i can organise my apps in itunes?

Hi, I'm pretty sure i've looked everywhere in itunes to see if there is a way to organise the thousands of iOS Apps I have but so far I cannot see one. Can someone shed light on how to best organise apps so that you can for example, put games you like in one place, apps you don't like in another, as well as add them to an iOS device from these organised categories (ie: I'd like to create a category that I would just dump to all my iOS devices)...
It seems very painful to scroll through 1000s of applications in a tiny tiny window that I cannot make full screen or eliminate things I don't want to look at 'now' and then have to do this many times separately for every iOS device I have. Basically my iTunes is totally useless as it is unless I want to spend 12 hours for each device...
I am not asking how to organise them on the iOS device itself via iTunes - even with 16 files per folder that itself is painful, but not as painful as having to deal with iTunes as already stated.
offtopic: is there a way in iTunes I can show only free things? I do buy things, but I want to see free things only on occasions - such as in search results.
Any suggestions? (my devices are not jailbroken and have no wish to, so please suggest things that work on non-jailbroken devices thanks)

You cannot.

Delete the apps you don't use and don't get every single app in the store.

Is there a way to Query 10g to locate your Dumplocation ?

I have gone through postings on this forum which has some very valuable information. While having done most of the required suggestions i am having problems running my expdp on 10g. the main reasons has been that it keeps on saying invalid dumplocation.
I earlier created the dumplocation which is located on the database as
SQL> CREATE DIRECTORY dumplocation
AS '/oradata/dumpfiles';
And later on granted read and write to user John who is going
to be executing the export and have granted to him Full Exp and Imp Privileges
SQL> GRANT READ, WRITE ON DIRECTORY dumplocation TO John;
**I DO NOT WANT TO MAKE A DEFAULT DATA_PUMP_DIR ***
Now on executing
expdp directory=dumplocation
username:John/******
My export will still not run...
it does not find the dumplocation..
on issuing the Create Directory statement the second time.it days that directory already exist.
Is there a ways to locate you dumplocation ?
Could someone suggest to me what's wrong.

In addition to posting the exact error message, does '/oradata/dumpfiles' really exist on the database server's file system? That does not look like a Windows directory to me. And it's a rather odd directory structure on a Unix box.

you can copy substitution variables between different Essbase servers through Admin console.
At first you should be able to add both the essbase servers in the admin console.
Then you can copy the subst variables from one essbase server to other.
in subst variable window -> select copy -> select server, app, db -> select subst variable to be copied -> you can tick overwrite existing variables option if needed -> click OK.
the other way is to collect the subst variable information through maxl & then write maxl scripts to create the subst variables on the other server.

Querying for contacts via webservices

When we query for contact records via webservices , it only checks those contacts created by the webservices and not by any other users.A user id has been created for the same as 'Web Interface', though when we login to the instance through this user id we are able to view all the records created by other users also.
Kindly help us with the issue

Are you in R16 and using 2.0 WS APIs? If so please check what you are setting for the parameter "ViewMode". This may affect the data visibility. For more info, check the WS reference guide page 282. Hope it helps

Let's suppose a table like this:

I'm almost sure there's a way to do that but I couldn't figure out how.

If I understand your logic correctly, there are some calculation error in your sample result.
Don't know if this is possible using ANSI99, but in Oracle it is easy to do this:

The easiest way is to check the output of below command
OMS_HOME/bin
emctl config oms -list_repos_details
The command works for both 11g and 12c

We have some machines that were imaged and the Appv 5.0 client was not installed so I would like to query these machines so that I can deploy the package. Is there a query available for SCCM 2012 that will get the computer that don't have App v 5.0 installed?

The App-V client is also registered in the add/remove programs, so that shouldn't be a problem, do keep in mind that this does depend on the (hardware) inventory. Without a successful inventory the device will not show up.

I have a query that pulls the last name of the user who resolved an Incident in Service Manager. The name is pulled from a view called "IncidentResolvedByUserFactvw." I need to pull the last name of the person who completed a Service Request. There
is no view or table that I can find that has this info. Is there a "IncidentResolvedByUserFactvw" type view with the Service Request info? If not where is this data stored?

Hi, easy way to organise by name: you can automatically sort LaunchPad. It's just a bit of a roundabout way, you reset LaunchPad then when it rebuilds it will put Apple apps in one screen, then alphabetically sort all other apps in remaining screens.
