Is there a way to reject an entire group of photos at once?

I am going through my projects and would like to be able to reject an entire group of files at once, but when it only seems to let me apply the rating to one file at a time. Is there something I'm missing?

I solved the problem a couple days ago. The mistake I made was that I neglected to shut Firefox down before making the changes to persdict.dat. Once I did that, everything worked as I expected it to work after bringing Firefox up again. I guess that's the equivalent of what you suggested. Thanks for your response.

I've tried to find a way to add data in the info panel of a photo and apply it to all the photos in an album but have not been able to do so. Does anyone know how I can do this?
Also, iPhoto '09 is crashing....I get the spinning rainbow wheel of death every time I open this album (which contains about 200 RAW files). My library on this MacBP is small. I keep seperate libraries on external HDs. No other apps are running. What gives?

Is there a way to download an entire shared photo stream to your iOS device from the url?

I recently dropped my iPhone, resulting in a pretty total breaking of it. Luckily, apply care is awesome and I got my phone replaced the next day. My only issue is that I lost the ~3000 photos I had taken on a recent trip to Japan. These photos were saved on a photo stream that was then shared with others that went on the trip, however. My question is: is there a way to download that entire stream back onto my iPhone? Where I am I do not have internet access a lot of the time, and would like access to those photos all the time, as I would be able to if they were saved on my phone.

Indeed, photos can be downloaded to your iPhone. Videos, however, cannot be downloaded to your device.
Can photos and videos be saved or downloaded from a shared album?
Yes. After photos are shared, anyone who can view the shared album can download and keep them permanently. Videos can only be downloaded to a Mac or PC. On an iOS device, videos are streamed from iCloud and can't be downloaded.
On a compatible iOS device, you can save photos to your Photos tab or Camera Roll.

Is there a way to view an ENTIRE event?

In the old iCal when you selected an event it was displayed in the right side panel. The new iCal doesn't do that and when I double click to see the event the new window only shows the first 4 lines of the event. I use iCal to save the info for the jobs I'm doing, and it's kind of annoying to have to scroll down ten lines to find out where I'm supposed to go. Is there any way to view the ENTIRE event? Maybe even to have it show up in the side panel the way it used to?

There is a 'Location' field in the event record that is displayed only if it contains an entry.
In a quick test, I was able to create a new event and display at least 7 lines of text in the Location field when I clicked on the event and then touched the space bar to display the details.
The Event Name field still only displays the first four lines of text, unless you double click and scroll, as you have been doing.

If you select all the songs you want to change, Be it one song or an akbum, or an Artist, Or Genre, or playlist. Then Right mouse click and Get Info. You then get a slightly different from normal Get Info box as this is the One for Multiple items.
In there have a look at the tags and see if the one you want to changes is in there. There are a few tabs so if for example you wanted to change the Media Type from Home Movie to Movie go to the Options tab and select Movie and OK and it will change the whole selection.

You can try an app like PhoneView (Mac) or TouchCopy (Mac or PC). Both will allow you to archive text messages to your computer.

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Then try deleting the library again.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Is there a way to view all cameras in the timeline at once without creating a multicam sequence? Is there some kind of window I can open where they will show up? I am scrubbing a timeline and I would like to see all the cameras at once.

The multicam monitor only shows multiple clips at once when they are part of a mutlicam sequence. is there some reason you don't want to use them inside a multicam sequence for previewing?
Here is a possible workaround, if your workflow circumstances will permit it:
Apply a pip preset effect to each clip in the timeline. Use UL, UR, LL, LR presets and up to four video tracks will display at once. If you need to see more than that, you'll need to tweak their position parameters by hand. When you're done previewing them all at once you just need to delete their effects from the Effects Controls panel.
I know it's not that neat or quick, but it will let you see everything at once in the program monitor.

I just imported a load of photos into my main iPhoto '11 Library from several older MAC's Photo Libraries. Despite repeatedly using the "Don't Import Duplicate Photos" dialogue box, I have many duplicate photos. Is there a way to automatically detect and delete Duplicate Photos?
I also have iPhoto Library Manager installed on my MAC, but cannot seem to locate on it anything that would do this.

if you still have all of the original iPhoto libraries I recommend you drag the bad one you created to the desktop (delete it later when everythin has successfully been completed) and start over usin iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - to merge the libraries

Have your brother create a contact in his phone for himself. Inside his own contact, have him add his phone number and his iCloud address.
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive Have your brother select both his phone number and email addresses where he would like to receive iMessages.

tried options mentioned above, but they did not restore that tab group - seems to be already classified as "not belonging to previous session", or whatever;
the name of the tab group can still be found in the sessionstore.js file tho;

Please restore the "Bookmark all tabs" functionality in the bookmarks menu. Users need to know that this option is available, and should have easy access to the functionality of a software product to be able to use the options, not to have to turn to google every time to figure out if the browser that they are currently using is able to do this or that, and if yes how they can invoke the desired functionality.

did not have that extension installed, but did it now and can't find anything there that would concern tab groups. (also referred to as Panorama). This session manager seems to provide a lot of stuff that the browser is supposed to do anyhoo, but with more options of configuration. Hope extension and browser won't cause a mess while attempting to do both the same thing.
Yes, I know that Bookmark all tabs is still available via right click - after a google-search told me so. My feedback was - why remove functionality from the menu? It's really not overloaded - and I'd expect a menu listing me the complete set of functions a software allows me to do, unless it busts the menu. So I was just asking myself - how come it has been removed? Makes no sense to me.

Thanks. There are so many it's very hard to see which one does what. Since I edit on the MacBook Pro using Photoshop Elements, all I really need is a way of seeing the filenames, and secondarily re-arranging thumbnails on the iPad screen manually.
