I updayed my iphone 4 with the new 5.0 operating system last night. This morning all my pictures, contacts and purchased music were not on my phone any longer. Any advise?

But I didn't realize they were not on the iPad camera roll, and deleted them from the phone Photostream. Now they are gone. Any chance to find them in the cloud?
No, there is no re-cycling bin on the iPad. If you deleted them from the card, and you havn't yet re-used the card, then there may be recovery software that you can get for your computer that might be able to get them back.

Ps. My contacts was the ONLY data NOT sync'd to my iTunes! =(You can import TO a SIM. To import, if you look at the button in settings says Import SIM Contacts. That means it is importing, or moving the contacts FROM the SIM to the iPhone. Importing means to take something from the area you are selecting and moving it to the current area, in other words, as others have told you, you imported what was ON the SIM card and since the iPhone does not store ANY information on the SIM, you imported NOTHING to a place that had something.
The way you save and backup contacts on an iPhone is to sync them through iTunes to a supported application on a computer such as Address Book on a Mac, Outlook or Windows Contacts on a Windows machine. If you did not do that prior to the Import attempt, then you will not be able to recover them. -

The iPad must always be synced to one computer using the Apple ID that it was originally synced to. Otherwise all apps & files will be deleted. There's no way to retrieve once erased.
Is there a backup on a different computer?

Not unless they were in the camera roll (camera roll photos are backed up). If they were, restoring your backup should recover the.
Photo stream photos are only kept in iCloud for 30 days, even though a rolling collection of up to 1000 photo remain on your device until deleted. Whey you reconnected to your photo stream you only got back the photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud.
You can keep photo stream photos permanently by saving them to your camera roll. -

Is there a way to sync POP subfolders and download them for backup in Mail on my MBP? I tried syncing the account with Mail and only the Inbox downloads onto my computer. Sure-glad to help you. You will not lose any data by changing synching to MacBook Pro from imac. You have set up Time Machine, right? that's how you'd do your backup, so I was told, and how I do my backup on my mac. You should be able to set a password for it. Save it. Your stuff should be saved there. So if you want to make your MacBook Pro your primary computer, I suppose, back up your stuff with Time machine, turn off Time machine on the iMac, turn it on on the new MacBook Pro, select the hard drive in your Time Capsule, enter your password, and do a backup from there. It might work, and it might take a while, but it should go. As for clogging the hard drive, I can't say. Depends how much stuff you have, and the hard drive's capacity. As for moving syncing from your iMac to your macbook pro, should be the same. Your phone uses iTunes to sync and so that data should be in the cloud. You can move your iTunes Library to your new Macbook pro

and re-authorize your new macBook Pro
time machine is an application, and should be found in the Applications folder. it is built in to OS X, so there is nothing else to buy. double click on it, get it going, choose the Hard drive in your Time capsule/Airport as your backup Time Machine and go for it. You should see a circle with an arrow on the top right hand of your screen (the Desktop), next to the bluetooth icon, and just after the wifi and eject key (looks sorta like a clock face). This will do automatic backups of your stuff. -

Although included with the iPhone's backup, all photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

Although contacts are also included with the iPhone's backup, contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer, and/or there are a number of free email accounts that support syncing contacts and other data over the air.
All iTunes content - all music, movies, tv shows, tones, audio and print books, and 3rd party apps should be in your iTunes library on your computer.
Settings, passwords, etc. are also included with the iPhone's backup, but so is a significant amount of other data. There is always the change some of the data included with the backup is corrupt or cannot be restored from the backup. -

This is to report the problem i encountered when i updated my Ipad mini to the new IOS 8.1..
After the update my Ipad restart and after that it appears a picture that need to connect to itunes and need to restore. So i connect it to itunes and wait to restore my ipad mini because it is not opening.
After restoring it my ipad is now opening and it is like new that i need to set up again.
I set up again until i reach the apple id and password.
I put my below apple ID and password to unlock my ipad but it didn't work. The message i receive is "the apple ID cannot be used to unlock this Ipad.
What will I do? Please help.

Everything is Sorted!
The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.
