Is there a way to show a "Ask for Confirmation" message at shutdown?

Purpose: I use a timekeeping app called Eon to log my time spend on my jobs during the day and if I don't post them at the end of the day the app forgets them when it restarts the next day. So I would like a reminder message to display when I select shutdown – and ideally continue shutdown when I click okay. I also don't mind if doing so means I have to select shutdown again after the message is displayed – much less annoying then trying to remember what I did the previous day when I forget to post these times.
I was hoping Automator would help, I can get it to show the message but there seems to be no way to do run this at shutdown.
There seems to be mulitple options to do something like this when you startup or login/logout but not for shutdown – unlike the old os9 days when you had the shutdown folder.
I have found a couple of possible solutions but their descriptions are too techy for my level of understanding to be able to follow.

Nice try ;~). And I know that I could just stick a postit note to my screen to remind me also – but I was aiming for somthing a bit of elegant.
Ideally the developer needs to have a message come up if the are outstanding times not posted - much like the "you have unsaved document " dialogue box. I shall put this suggestion to them.

The recomended way of setting up Applleds is to have one common one for "the Stores" (iTunes, App Store & Mac App store) so that all purchases are shared, then a seperate individual account for iCloud syncing EACH
So for instance you'd have [email protected] for the stores and [email protected], [email protected] [email protected] & [email protected] for the individuals
Thats' what I've done here for myself, mrs & 4 kids.

Preview 5.0.3 keeps hiding my text annotations, forcing me to find them 1 by 1 and double click on them to show their text, is there a way to show all?

Somtimes, Preview 5.0.3 will hide my text annotations, forcing me to find them 1 by 1 and double click on them to show their text. After clicking on the Pen icon on the sidebar, i can see what slide numbers they are on, and have to go through 1 by 1 and double click them. For 200 slide classes, this becomes very annoying, is there a way to show all? or just to prevent it from hiding them in the first place?

What is browsed on one device has nothing to do with what is browsed on any other device. If you see something in a browser history in the iPhone, then either he didn't click "private" or didn't clear the history on that device.
I also want to know if I synced both of our IPads, will what he looks at thru safari privately or not show up on my IPad Air? (most likely not, but I need to ask)
No. Again, browser history is not synced to other devices.
If he's surfing and either using Private Browsing or clearing the history, then there's no way you can see what sites he's visited. You'll just have to decide how to deal with that from there.

The answers to those questions can be useful in giving you specific instructions.
For general discussion, the answer is yes.
Now, how do you want to display the two Videos, such as side-by-side, with each taking up 1/2 of the Frame, or in some other configuration?
Basically, what you are talking about is PiP (Picture in Picture), but exactly how you will need to set things up will be dictated by the version of PrE, and then exactly how you want those two Videos to display.

Not on my document. I have a 7 page document open. The "flashing vertical bar" is at the top of page 3. I have the thumbnail view showing. I click page break and two blank pages are added to the end of my document. I have to scrool thru the pages to see that the 2 pages were added as they do not appear in the layout view... I'm not sure if it is inserting a "section" as it adds two blank pages.. But I am clicking on "INSERT PAGE BREAK".. So guess there are still a lot of bugs to fix..

is there a way to show the end dates of the previous month in bold or make it stand out? so 30,31 and 1st of this month don't all look the same? For example the 30,31st get a regular text since they are a part of the the last month and this month gets bold dates? Its hard to read the dates anyways.

If we open a Document from Untrusted location,the file is opened in Protected mode and a Red Message bar is shown below the ribbon for Excel,Word apps.
Can we show this type of similar message bar with custom Message in Outlook or any other Office App.

Are you displaying an MSG file? Keep in mind that Outlook creates a temporary copy in one of Outlook folders, so strictly speaking your are not looking at a file.

If you have a backup of your computer, here's the location of the iTunes backup folder:
Where are iTunes backups stored on your computer
The folder where your backup data is stored depends on the computer's operating system. Make sure the backup folder is included in your data-backup routine. iTunes places the backup files in the following places:

Is there any way to create a reminder for "today" in the new Reminders app? I used to be able to pull up the "today" list and add things that would go to my default list but automatically show up for today but now it looks as though that option is gone. Additionally, any way to get dates/times to show up with reminders in the Notification Center?

Thanks for the question. From the information you provided, it sounds like you might be looking for the "Scheduled" view. This view will show all of your reminders that are scheduled in a list. To access the schedule view, click the icon:

Is there a way to change the phone number in Messages and FaceTime?

I have scoured these forums and cannot find a straight answer to this.
Here is the scoop. I switched networks with my iPhone 5, so I bought a SIM for it. I then had my old number switched to it. However, in FaceTime and Messages it still displays the original number for the SiM. Is there any way to change this number to the correct one?
Also, I have two Apple ID's to two different email addresses. One for business and one for personal. Is there a way to use them both for Messages and FaceTime? I try to add the address and it shows a 'sent verification email' but I never receive it.

Regarding the iMessage phone number, when you connect your iPhone to iTunes, which number is displayed? Have you tried disabling and re-enabling both iMessage and FaceTime?
About your two iCloud accounts, do you have both configured on your phone as two separate accounts?

Try to reset the device:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

TV shows will only appear in the cloud if you are in a country where they can be re-downloaded from the store (you can't add them yourself), in which case they will appear in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app for re-downloading. But they will only appear there if you are in a country where they can be re-downloaded, and then only as long as the TV company leaves them in the store (content providers occasionally remove their items).
