Is there a way to sync a Mac Air with a Mac Mini?

There's always a catch
Check the two sites I mentioned - you should be able to specify the 'freeware' category when performing/narrowing down your search.

Is there a way to sync my google calander with my iPhone/iTouch with itunes as you can sync contacts? or atleast how can i sync my google calander with iCal?

That's not how it should work.
As paulsalter noted, you should add Google calendar to your iCal on the Mac and Calendar app on iPad.
If you sync the iPad calendar with iTunes, it would only get updated when you sync it.
If you sync it with Google calendar, the iPad and the Mac will both get updated when you update one.
To add Google calendar to yrou Mac, see this  -> Get Started with CalDAV - Sync with iCal
Then add the Google calendar to your iPad.
See this -> CalDAV: CalDAV Calendar Sync

  • Is there a way to sync only the calendar with the new control panel?

I did the iCloud control panel update on my work machines this morning and it looks like it will only sync the calendar with outlook if you let it sync your contacts and tasks as well. The main reason I use iCloud is to sync my work meetings/events between my work PC and my phone. It liked the way it worked before, but now the user has less control over what it syncs. Is there a way to sync the calendar only?
Also, it's made outlook quit unexpectedly on both machines, but I assume they'll have bug fixes eventually. I'm running one machine with Office 2007 and one with 2010.

The iCloud Control Panel 2.0, just release with iOS 6, forces users to upload Outlook contacts to iCloud in order to sync calendar and reminders with iPhone. This is unacceptable to me.  Because of this and bugs in the Outlook/iCloud plugin, I have discontinued use of iCloud and will sync my iPhone with Outlook using itunes. I will have to forego using Outlook task syncing with iPhone reminders because iTunes doesn't sync them, which is unfortunate.

  • I need to connect my mac air with my mac mini home computer?

I cannot find out what is needed to connect my mac air with my home computer, a mac mint

If you have a WiFi network at home, the MBA should easily connect to the Mac mini or vice-versa for anything from file sharing, oprical disc sharing, or even screen sharing. Start in System Preferences > Sharing and turn on the desired services. In that same panel you can choose whether that access is for all users or for specific user accounts on the particular system.
Then go to the other computer and open Finder then look under "shared" and select the computer you want to share. If you have activated screen sharing as well as file sharing you will actually have logon to both shares using the user account and password for the user you specified on the other machine.

  • Is there a way to sync your iCloud tabs between my Mac and iOS devices, but without syncing my bookmarks?

I sync my bookmarks between my iPad (3rd gen) and my iPhone 5, but I don't want them to sync with my Mac's because many of the bookmarks I have on my iOS devices are websites designed for mobile devices, or at least they're not the desktop version of them. That just makes it simple for my iOS devices. On my Mac however, I have many websites I don't need or want on my iPhone such as foursquare, Nike+, and PayPal because I already have the apps on my iPhone and iPad. But one thing I realized was that on the Mac, if you want to use iCloud in Safari, there is no option to not sync bookmarks and just use the iCloud tabs, not that I know of anyway. I was hoping there was a way to solve that, one that I might not have seen or thought of yet?

I think that cloud privacy concerns are overdone - especially with Apple who don't have a vested interest in snooping through your data like Google does!
Do you use email?  It's stored in the cloud on the providers servers - no matter who the provider is.
Do you use SMS on a phone?  They're stored on a server somewhere!
Do you use the internet?  The logs are stored at your ISP for some period of time - tracking everywhere you've been.
Thats why I am comfortable to use iCloud for most of my documents.  If I want to transfer files very securely, I put them in an encrypted disk image on Dropbox.

  • Hi, is there a way to sync my iPod classic with my iPod touch without using a pc? I have also have an iPad2 if that can help??

HI, I have an iPod touch with all my songs on it and also have a 5th gen classic which is connected to my car. My laptop died on me a while back and I replaced it with an iPad 2.  I now am unsure how I can keep updating my classic seeing as I no longer have a pc with iTunes on it?
IS there a way I can continue purchasing music via my iPod touch/iPad and then sync them with my iPod classic for he car?  I don't really want to have to buy a new laptop just for iTunes!
I have seen iTunes match being talked about and am wondering if this could be a solution, but again not sure how I will get new purchases on I the classic as its not wireless etc?!
THanks in advance for any help.

No.  You can sync content directly from an iPod to another iPod or iPad.  The content you wish to transfer needs to be in your iTunes library first.

  • Is there any way to sync POP mail between iOS and Mac devices via the cloud?

The title says it all.  I have Comcast email and would like to keep three devices in sync with email like I do with calendars and contacts.  I use an iPad, iPhone, and a Mac Mini and am having a hard time configuring the three to stay in sync.  It seems that a .me account is needed for cloud email, which I have, but that only seems to send via the .me outgoing server.  So, while a .me account can retrieve the POP mail, it doesn't send outgoing mail correctly for me.  Maybe it just isn't possible.

When I send mail from my mobile devices, it comes from my .me account.  Same for my mac.  But, I don't care because no matter which email the recipient responds to, I get the response.
I use my .me account now as my primary account, but I have a ton of folks who still use my cox account as my primary email address.  Most don't even know which account the email is being directed to.

  • Is there a way of syncing/sharing my history from safari (mac and iphone) with the history on my pc?

i'd like to sync the history from my phone and personal mac with my history on my work pc. I use safari on the mac but chrome on the pc
    thanks!

    Hi ..
    Not  history.
Only bookmarks can be synced between devices using iCloud.
Doubtful it would work on your work PC becuase it would have to be associated with your Apple ID.

  • Is there a way to sync an existing database with Adobe's CRM database?

I have a locally hosted database of customers, and I would like to sync this with the database hosted on Business Catalyst without having to manually import/export a list of customers. Is there currently a way to do this?

    Hi,
Look into APIs as a possible solution to this...
"This system has an extensive API (application programmming interface) framework which you can use to communicate, synchronize, or undertake an action with your own external application. For example if you are an online shop and you want to adjust inventory levels in real-time as shoppers buy from you, then you can simply utilize this API. Other uses of the API include the ability to synchronize your entire customer database on this system with that located at your office. The API framework will in fact give you the freedom to undertake all sorts of tasks that are specific to the success of your business"

  • Is there a way to sync multiple photo locations with an iPad.

I have an iPad that I share with my girlfried.
I would like to sync both of our 'My Pictures' folders on our Windows 7 PC with the iPad.
I tired creating a new Windows user account for the iPad, then in the 'My Pictures' folder for that accout, I created a symbolic link to my 'My Pictures' folder and another symbolic link to my girl friends 'My Pictures' folder. The problem is that when this syncs to the iPad, the pictures on the iPad are not divided into serperate albums per sub folder. There are just 2 albums - one of my pictures and one of my girlfriends.
Can anyone think of a way to do this that would preserve the sub folders of both mine and my girlfiends pictures.
I suppose I could copy all of my pictures and my girl friends pictures into the iPad's user account on the PC, but this would waste a lot of hard disk space which I would rather not do.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I had a similar problem. If you create linked folders it will work. Use cmd.exe, go to the directory that iTunes syncs the pictures to the iPad from (using cd "pathname"). Then type
mklink /J "her pics" "c:\users\heraccount\My Pictures"
This makes a folder called "her pics" in the synced folder.
mklink /J "his pics" "c:\users\hisaccount\My Pictures" does the same for you.
    Hope that helps.

  • Is there a way to sync only existing contacts with my facebook friends so I don't gain any unwanted people?

I want to sync only my existing contacts, and not gain all of my facebook friends. Is it possible?

If you turned off Contacts wouldnt that mean that the Contacts would no longer be backed up to iCloud as well? That would make it a pain when upgrading a phone to not easily pull contacts back down.

  • Is there a way to "sync" my gmail address with my mail application?

    See topic title.

    Actually, you can. In your Gmail account choose Settings in the upper right corner. Then choose Forwarding and POP. Make your choice between the two Enable POP mail options. Then configure a new Email account in Mail.app with these instructions;
Configuring your email client: Apple Mail
