Is there a way to transfer the iTunes application to my PC using my iPhone? My PC has no means of connecting to the Internet and I do not wish to pay for Internet tethering for a one time use. I don't have the app on my computer and I simply wish to have it on there to actually be able to transfer my files.

You can transfer the app to your PC to save it, the article below will show you how:

Theft by finding - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    From that link:
"The finder of lost property acquires a possessory right by taking physical control of the property, but does not necessarily have ownership of the property. The finder must take reasonable steps to locate the owner. If the finder shows that reasonable steps to find the owner have been taken then the finder may establish that the required mens rea for theft, the intention to deprive the owner permanently, is absent."
One could argue that leaving an item in the 'Lost and Found' box for 30 days meets that requirement.  I'm not saying that I beleive that- there are certainly additional things that could be done without much effort, such as checking in settings for their appleid/email address, etc.  But one could make that argument.
In any case, there's no way to get that music off.
I disagree about the 'Lost & Found' box in this situation.  We're not talking about an article of clothing.  There are most likely ways to identify a manner in which to contact the owner (such as the email address that shows in multiple locations on the device, or that pops up when you try to access iTunes or App store.
It's like finding a wallet, but not looking at the address on the driver license to make any attempt to contact the owner.  It's easy to find a way to contact the owner in both scenarios.
This is simply someone that is looking to get something for free, and 'cheat' the system.
I guarantee you that if this guy lost his iPhone, he'd be ranting up a storm that whoever found it hasn't tried to contact them.

  • Is there any way to transfer non-itunes store music to your iTunes?

I kind of killed my macbook, and it had to go to mac support and in order to make it happy and shiny again they had to wipe all of its memory.
Now, I've restored the song purchased on itunes to my itunes, but
    1. The iTunes/MacBook doesn't seem to be living harmoniously with my iPod, any way to make them realise they are long-time friends?
    2. Is there anyway to switch my non-iTunes-purchased stuff to my MacBook from my iPod.
    3. Finally if no. 2 can't be done, since I've already transfered the purchased stuff from my iPod onto my itunes library again, should I just choose the "Erase and Sync" option since when I connect them it gives me a ramble then the options " Cancel", "Transfer Purchases" which I've already hit/done, or "Erase and Sync" because I know the last will mean that I will have to put all my CDs back on, but alas, that may be what I have to do, but will that at least make them live harmoniously again with my purchased stuff safe?
Sorry about the length of the question, and thanks to whomever reads it.

    Try Senuti.
It's a program that transfers music from iPod to iTunes on a Mac.
    As is Music Rescue.
There's also a similar program called Yamipod which has a Mac version.
I've used all of these on a Mac with great success.
If you want to retrieve playlists, iPodRip has the feature enabling you to reconstruct them.

  • Is there a way to transfer old messages/texts(from previous phone) to an iphone?

Well to be honest I have some pretty valuable and memorable messages/texts in my old phone, and i want to keep them. There seems to be no option for that inthe phone. Please suggest what to do. And no my previous phone does not have the bluetooth or the transfer-to-computer optiong, all I can do is save messages in my sim.
    Thanks

I think you'd need a SIM reader and software to pull the info off your SIM card. You won't be able to transfer it to the Messages program on your iPhone but at least you'd have a copy. If the phone is still active, you should be able to send the texts to an email account or to the iPhone.

  • Is there a way to transfer word/pdf/exe files from my pc to iphone?

I've got a couple of books in my pc and are in word and exe format, is there anyway that I could transfer them to my iphone?
    Thanks in advance ^^*

I use an app called Folders. It allows you to create folders and sub folders and works pretty much like a "my documents" folder. You can transfer and view word. excel, powerpoint, pdf, video and photo files from your pc via wifi. You can also create and manage the folders on your pc while connected.
One conneted it just sees your iphone folders in a window and you can drag and drop.
There's a free version and a paid version, the paid version lets you email files from your phone.
You can also lock and hide folders, such as sensitive documents pictures and videos.
All in all it's one of the most useful apps I've got as I've tried a few others and this seems to be far the easiest to use.

Apps are only tied to one account... You can set up two iTunes accounts on your computer, however, and let his iPad sync to his account. If he has never backed up his apps to a computer, however, he will have to redownload all the apps. Afterwards, he can backup to iCloud instead of your computer.

In order to continue to play and sync the music you purchased with your old account, you'll need to authorize your new computer/iTunes library to do so.  You can do this by choosing Store -> Authorize This Computer and then entering in your old account credentials.
That's all you should need to.  Then just create your own account and start purchasing and using it the same you have with the old one.

sure pretty simple.  make a backup of your current settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US
then restore device from old backup you need pics off of
    then import pics to computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

  • Is there a way to transfer music from my ipod to a new computer using itunes WITHOUT access to the old computer??

Is there a way to transfer music already downloaded on my ipod to my new laptop, without having access to the original computer with itunes?? It is on my boyfriend's computer and we broke up - not a good option to ask him to use his computer...now I'm worried I won't get all my music back!

    Hi,
I don't know if you can help me any further, but maybe you can direct me somewhere that will??
I took your advice from above and went out and downloaded CopyTrans, paid the $20, downloaded everything - it worked beautifully!! Everything backed up and iTunes had all my songs.
Then I guess I'm a huge idiot or just got overzealous, so I plugged in my iPhone, because I had a few purchases on there and thought I could everything in one place on iTunes. Something happened really BAD and all my songs on iTunes deleted and were replaced with the few that I had on my phone, plugged my iPod back in and somehow I must have clicked on the wrong thing and the iPod synced with the iPhone songs! I feel sick to my stomach!! Is everything gone???
I did a "backup" in CopyTrans, but I have no idea where it was saved on my computer - when I go back into CopyTrans it acts like I need to pay again and doesn't show the backup file anywhere.
Do you have any ideas or know where I can go for help - or is it a lost cause?

  • Is there a way to transfer or copy all my apps to another iPad with a different account? I was required in my job to use the one at work, but I would like to also see my current set ups and apps as in my personal one. Thank you so much!

Is there a way to transfer or copy all my apps to another iPad with a different account? I was required in my job to use the one at work, but I would like to also see my current set ups and apps as in my personal one. Thank you so much!

What I suggest is that you try to pair your apple ID with you company ipad and see if it works.
    Here is why::
I believe that the Apple rules let you. They are something like:
-- for a shared iDevice, you may put the app on one device
-- for a device you use exclisively, you may put the app on five (or some number) of iDevices
I'm not lawyer, so how you interpred this is a question.
Now, you need to figure out how to do this.
In the past at least, apple used this terminalogy.
        Personal
        Institution
        Layered. combines personal & institution.
It depends on how your company has configured the iPad.
I have read where you can have upto three apple id per device.

Thanks, but ringtones not purchased from iTunes, created them just before computer crashed.just before the next scheduled biweekly backup.
I found and downloaded TouchCopy 12 for PC and was able to copy the ringtones from my iPhone to my Windows laptop very easily.  It also enables you to transfer photos, memos, voice messages, etc.

  • Is there an easier way to transfer your iTunes library on windows to a mac than copying the library to a usb and plugging the usb into the mac and put the library in the iTunes file

is there an easier way to transfer your iTunes library on windows to a mac than copying the library to a usb and plugging the usb into the mac and put the library in the iTunes file? I recently swapped to Mac and this is how i moved the library from windows to mac and library is in tact but is there an easier way? My cousin just imported her cd's again, but it was harder for me as i have an ipod with over 150 apps and i needed to move them. i think it would be helpful if i knew of an easier way so i can help a friend move his. Thanks

The general method of use is to download a script (double-click or right-click and use Download or Save As...) to a folder of your choice, e.g. your Desktop, Downloads folder or create a folder at ...\iTunes\Scripts. Select a playlist or highlight some tracks in iTunes and then double-click on the script to execute it. If no specific tracks are selected the script will try to work with all tracks in the current playlist or sometimes the entire library.

  • My pc is down and I'm trying to put a wep for this router so no one can use my internet but me. Is there anyway I can set a password with an iPad as I don't have a desktop or laptop?

My pc is down and I'm trying to put a wep for this router so no one can use my internet but me. Is there anyway I can set a password with an iPad as I don't have a desktop or a laptop. Please help.

The AirPorts, unlike routers provided by other manufacturers, do not provide a web-based administration interface ... so the PS3 or any browser would not work.

  • Is there any way to transfer the music already on ipod to itunes library

is there any way to transfer music already on my ipod to my itunes library without deleting the music

    Here's more info for you.
Be very careful when connecting an iPod full of music to an empty iTunes library. There is very real risk of permanently losing all the music.
To prevent auto sync, before you connect the iPod go to the iTunes preferences and select "devices", then select "disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods".
An alternative method is to connect the iPod whilst holding down the 'control+shift' keys and do not let them go until your iPod appears in iTunes.
If you see a message that your iPod is associated with a different library and asks if you want to link to a new one, make sure you press "Cancel".
If you should click on "Erase and Sync" will erase all the content currently on your iPod and it will be replaced with the content of the iTunes library you just connected to.
When you've pressed cancel your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list under "devices" and allow you to change the update setting to manage the iPod content manually, and that will let you use your iPod for the time being without the risk of accidentally erasing the contents.
Then do any of the following to transfer your music from iPod back to the computer/iTunes.
For iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
Find out how to do that here.
How to copy iTunes purchases from an iPod or iPhone to a computer.
For all other non purchased content (your own CDs etc), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it is a little more involved than other methods.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Other free programs are Pod Player, SharePod and Floola and iDump and iPodRobot.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
