You have an iPod you have had for a while, yes? If so, then the CD that came with it will have the installer for whatever version of iTunes was current at the time.

Hi, I've been having a problem trying to get my Itunes to recognize my Ipod. The problem is, I can't update to the 7.7 or 7.6 version because for some reason my computer cant download the XP Service Pack 2, which is frustrating me. Is there any way around that as in I can use a newer version of Ipod without having to upgrade to Service Pack 2 or 3?

You could see if there are any other iPod managers that will let you load music onto your Touch. I don't hold out a great deal of hope as it's not just a question of the latest iTunes but of aspects of the OS which you don't have.

Oldest Version of Itunes that can use Itunes store?

A month ago, for the first time, I attempted to buy some music from the Itunes store. I wasn't able to because my Itunes version (6.05.20) was too old.
So I upgraded to the 8.x version, but I've found that I just can't get used to it. Id like to go back to a version that still has the genre, artist, and album panes at the top. Does anyone know the last version of Itunes with that layout that will be able to buy songs from the store?

That's still available in iTunes 8; just turn on the Browser through the View menu -> Show Browser.

I just got a 'new' old laptop. And I decided to restart my itunes library onto this one.
But when I try to download itunes onto it, it keeps saying that I need a newer version of windows xp to run it.

I'm going to assume the consolidating files does not work due to hard drive space limitations.
Since you're moving to Windows 7, have you tried using the Windows files and settings transfer utility? That will move everything for you to the same location on the new computer, it also allows some control over what actually gets moved.
Alternatively, if you know the location of all of the media, it can be manually moved by copying it from the old computer to the new computer in the same location.
Also, using the Apple article on moving the library, take a slight twist on what it says. Move the iTunes library to the external drive, update the settings in iTunes to reflect the library being on the external drive, then consolodate it.
The options are endless for moving the library... it simply takes a little effort to make it happen and possibly a twist on existing "standard" methods depending on your unique situation.

I had the same problem with my iPad, i couldn't get the newer version of itunes because the computer was too old and my iPad couldnt sync with the old itunes. I got a PC from school a few months later so that solved the problem for me. Unfortunately i don't think there would be a program to put your music on your iPod, iTunes should be the only way to transfer files to Apple devices. What operating system are you running and what version of it is it?

I've just discovered that with the newest version of iTunes you can no longer delete apps you don't want. You used to be able to do so by connecting to to desktop computer and delete them. Tech support said you can't delete apps anymore. Not Good!

You used to be able to do so by going onto iTunes on your desktop computer and deleting them. Not Good! I just called tech support and they said that in this version there is no way to delete them. They also said there have been numerous complaints about this. You can't even delete them from your applications folder. It's as though you're being held hostage to apps you tried, but do not want.
While we're on the subject, I don't like the fact the the iPod touch comes with unistalable apps such as: Passbook, Nike & iPod, Newsstand, and Game Center. Don't want them, will never use them. Give customers the option to delete apps that we don't want. Call Apple's corporate customer care. escalation, and complain untill they fix this.

Hello remslicer, I just did this and it seems to work, I had the exact same problem and I just read what to do on another users reponce,
I re-set my phone
hooked up the phone to my computer,
let it do its syncing,
then I went to podcast page and un-sync and I did this with music as well, and hit apply.
go back and re-sync and hit apply again.
I went to the app and it started playing the podcast I have saved on my desk top.

You have WiFi Sync now! Go into Settings, General, and Click Wi-Fi Sync. Sync from there!

Is there a version of PS that can adjust mass numbers of high res images for Contrast and Brightness but at the same time constrained by a Histogram setting?
I have thousands of hi res .sid or .png images that are all of various degrees of brightness and need to be brightened to different degrees along with contrast changes. Although it can obviously be done individually, I am seeking a batch command that can do this without over correcting. Is there any PS version that can analyze each photo and make brightness and contrast corrections but constrained by a histogram setting? Because some photos need twice the brightness or contrast than others, using that batch same command will result in many of the photos being over corrected. Thus, I am looking to adjust via an auto Histogram analysis of each photo to avoid over correction. Is there any software that does this?
