Is there any keyboard shortcut for Lift & Stamp?

I would like to know if there´s any keyboard shortcut for "Lift and Stamp". Something like "copy and paste".

no prob ... just know that that way will lift and
stamp ALL current adjustments ...
to selectively do it, just uncheck the other
adjustments you dont want L&S'd ...
i routinely use this method and rarely use the lift
HUD ('O') ...
Exactly, I find this method very useful in my work.
Regards.

  • Is there any keyboard shortcuts for navigating through Fireworks layers?

By default, there are no keyboard shortcuts. However, you can use custom commands. For example, http://johndunning.com/fireworks/about/FrameLayerUtils

Some other commands that can make it easier to work with layers:
Frame and Layer Utilites: contains a number of commands for working with layers, like hiding the current layer in all other states but the current one, or moving the layer up or down in the panel.  Any of the commands can be assigned keyboard shortcuts.  http://johndunning.com/fireworks/about/FrameLayerUtils
QuickFire: lets you quickly match a layer by typing part of its name and then hiding it, locking it, etc.  http://johndunning.com/fireworks/about/QuickFire
Solo Selection: hides all elements except the selected ones, so you can work on just a part of the document.  Run it again to make everything visible again.  http://johndunning.com/fireworks/about/SoloCommand
I'm also working on a command that will you navigate the elements in a doc via the keyboard, which should be ready soon.

In sparrow- which I'm coming over from due to it's support of Gmail, you can use various keyboard shortcuts to move back and forth in the thread.
I prefer the Mail layout, but might have to go back if I have to click everywhere!

  • Is there any keyboard shortcuts for navigating through Fireworks layers? Yes there are!

Since I couldn't find a way to post a reply on the original question I decided to create my own discussion on this.
The "alt" key is your best friend when working with layers.
Alt click on show/hide, lock/unlock, and expand and collapse arrows will apply to all.
Example: Lets say you have 20 layers, all unlocked, it is starting to become extremely difficult to select just a single item from a single layer. If you alt click any layer, all your layers will become locked, then you can easily just unselect the layer that has your content in it. Alt clicking again unlocks all your layers.  (*note - sometimes sub-layers remain locked even when the parent is unlocked).
Again this works with the show/hide and the expand and collapse toggles as well.
In addition I wrote a command and assigned a shotcut key to it that lets you do several very useful layer interactions with one shortcut key.
    My command lets you:
    1) Copy all your selected objects (regardless of what layer they are in),
    2) Creates a new layer
    3) Opens the name layer dialog so that you can name your new layer
    4) Paste al your selected objects into your new layer.
You can find this comman here with instructions how to install it and how to set up a shortcut key for it). *Note this command is used with John Dunnings (johndunning.com) layers command.

  • Is there a keyboard shortcut for the arrows in grid view?

When you click on an album (or TV-show) in grid view there are two small arrows in the upper right corner, for flicking through to next or previous album.
Question: is there a keyboard shortcut for these arrows? Would be relly nice...
    I mean these buttons: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/2205425/itunes_pilar.png

    Ah this is useful!
However... it turns out that you have to press shift as well, so:
For left: ⇧⌘ [ (meaning SHIFT - COMMAND - LEFT SQUARE BRACKET)
For right: ⇧⌘ ] (meaning SHIFT - COMMAND - RIGHT SQUARE BRACKET)

  • Is there a keyboard shortcut for the open tabs on other computers?

I know that you can click the arrow on the right of the tab bar to access the tabs from other computers, but is there a keyboard shortcut for it, or another way to access it?

  • HT1518 Are there a keyboard shortcuts for the alt or option symbol ⌥ and the cmd ⌘ symbol ?

Is there a keyboard shortcut for the alt or option symbol ⌥ and the command symbol ⌘? I need this a lot to take notes from tutorials etc. I know I can copy them from other text or access the special character menu, but I would love to have a easier shortcut.

You can try making one for yourself via system preferences/keyboard/text/symbol and text substitution

  • In Safari is there a Keyboard shortcut for Merge All Windows?

Majority of sites sill open new pages in new windows, not new tabs. So, I keep using the Merge All Windows feature all the time. Please, provide a keyboard shortcut for this!

Although there is no default keyboard shortcut for the menu item in question, there is nothing preventing you from creating your own.
Under System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts, press the "+" sign. From the Application drop-down menu, choose Safari. In the Menu Title field enter "Merge All Windows" -- without the quotes. In the Keyboard Shortcut field, enter your desired key combo and then click the Add button.
You'll need to quit System Preferences and restart Safari for the change to take effect. Good luck.

  • Is there a keyboard shortcut for the Fade In / Fade out Behavior

I use the Fade in/out behavior a lot and i wonder if there's a shortcut i've not found. what is it?
If there is not, can I create one? or for other behaviors / filters used a lot? Thanks for any help.

There is a way to do this using the System Preferences. I found this tip years ago on a web site I can no longer find anywhere, but I still use it and it still works:
    1) Go to the Library, drag the Fade In Fade Out behavior into the Favorites Menu folder in the left-side column.
    2) Go to the Favorites menu category in the Library, check to make sure your behavior is there.
    3) Go to the Favorites menu in the main menu, check to make sure your behavior is listed as a menu item. Make sure to note the name of the menu item there.
    4) If it's there, go to System Preferences, and click on the Keyboard & Mouse icon.
    5) Go to Keyboard Shortcuts, click the + button at the bottom left to add a new shortcut.
    6) Choose "Motion" from the Applications popup, then type in the exact name of the Fade In Fade Out behavior in the Menu Title box (it has to be exact, otherwise this won't work). You don't need the "Favorites" part, just the menu name, in this case "Fade In Fade Out".
    7) Choose whatever key shortcut you want, but make sure it doesn't override any existing ones in Motion!
    8) Click Add in the dialog.
Now, when you switch back to Motion, you can press that key you just added and it will instantly add a Fade In/Fade Out behavior to the selected layer automatically. This works with anything you can add to the Favorites Menu, just keep track of the name and you can add custom layers, filters, behaviors, or anything else you can stash in the Library, and recall them with a custom hotkey.

  • Is there a keyboard shortcut for zooming out my parents' computer's desktop

I did not witness what happened, but apparently my brother ctrl+scrolled up(and zoomed all the way in) and my mother has been trying to figure out how to zoom it out. We have a Mighty Mouse, but it can not scroll down for some strange reason(It's broken). We somehow got it to zoom all the way out, but we have no clue how we did it. Is there a quick keyboard shortcut to zoom the screen out all the way in case it happens again(or in case I make some video that requires me to zoom in and focus on XCode and I later want to zoom out, seeing as my mother fixed her preferences to not allow it to zoom in)? If so, what is it? Is there also a keyboard shortcut to zoom in, in case we turn scrolling off altogether?

In the System Preference> Universal Access> panel, you can reverse the
results of an accidental setting found through a random keyboard command.
    • Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1343
Or, just keyboard: *The use of Option-Command-8 is said to Turn On/Off Zoom*.
Using a standard USB mouse, be it an old one-button Apple USB or a newer
two-button PC mouse (no drivers should be needed) you could get past the
immediate issue of the Mighty Mouse's scroll button problem.
The Mighty Mouse probably has dust & debris inside the roller-ball assembly.
There have been some instructions (on how to open/clean & reseal it) online.
If you attempt to do this, be sure you have a working alternative mouse first.
*Cleaning Mighty Mouse* involves some skill, dexterity, tools, glue, tedium & time:

    In any event...
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Are there any keyboard shortcuts in Word?

Is there any way to go down or up a whole screen or page in a Word document using just the keyboard? Or to go to the end or back to the beginning of a document? I can't find a way, and it's frustrating having to go to the scroll bar each time. I know there's iScroll and Side Track, but I'm hoping there's something that's native Apple. Thanks for any suggestions.
    Cheers, Peter

    Hi peter,
well I don't know if there is a shortcut to go directly to the end, but to scroll down quite quickly I press fn+down/up.
I don’t know if that can be useful but I sometimes use it.
    Cheers

  • I used to be able to refresh a page by hitting the F5 key. That does not seem to work anymore. Is there a keyboard shortcut for refresh, or can I create one?

I used to be able to refresh a page by hitting the F5 key. With 4.0.1, that does not seem to work. Is there a different keyboard shortcut, or can I create one?

Click the Refresh button on the right hand side of the location bar container on the Navigation Toolbar or press "Ctrl + R" or F5 to reload a web page.
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
    * Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
    * Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    * Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
