Is there any way to hide region names?

I recently switched from garageband to Logic, and my only complaint is that there isn't a way to hide region names, which would give the same words-free editing experience as garageband. If anyone knows of a way to do it, please post, thanks!

No there is not a single "+mask this column!+" feature in Oracle.. but that does not mean that such a feature is not supported and cannot be implemented. Oracle has a very comprehensive and rich set of tools - more so than most (if not all) other RDBMS products.
It is up to the architect/designer/developer to use this toolkit in creating a system that meets the specific requirements at hand.

Is there any way to hide unread count on Mail for junk or trash folders?

I have a ton of junk messages and messages in my trash folder, and I really don't care to see the unread count (I know, I'm being picky.) I can't find a way to hide the unread count for these folders and it's annoying to right click and select "mark all as read". Is there any way to hide the count automatically, or a filter I can set up? I know that you can adjust what unread count shows up on the dock, but I'm talking about the Mail program itself. Ideas? Encryption/decryption solutions are only useful if you want to "hide" the source from point to point and it is meaningless if you want to hide source from the client (the other point).
The question of interest is here: why do you want to hide the source from the client?
If it is really an important requirement, consider an applet or a standalone application instead of webapplications. Although it is harder to do, but those can still be reverse engineered.

If you want to do any custom formatting to the workbook and you do not want it to reset when you refresh the workbook,
You will have to You can deactivate the function for adjusting the formatting (Adjust Formatting after Refreshing) in the Display Options of the Query Properties.
When you do this, you can have your own formatting for the workbook and it will not be affected when you refresh the workbook.

Unfortunately, there is no option to hide a specific picture in the Moments, Collections and Years view in the Photos tab of the Photos app. However, there are plenty of password protected apps available in the App Store that allow you to upload pictures to so they are 'hidden' from others.

Perhaps if you describe what you're going to be doing in more detail we can offer other solutions. But, really, beyond not using iTunes where people can see it or not letting others use your MBP there isn't really a way to "hide" the content in iTunes.

You may certainly remove all profile data by leaving those settings as "blank" or "not specified." I find the easiest way to do this is to open the profile settings from within the Skype "client" software.

Is there any way to hide certain artists/albums in my iTunes library from Home Sharing?

Is there any way I can hide some of my music from other people, like my sister, while they are accessing my iTunes library with Home Sharing?
I have a few personal recordings that I don't want anyone but me to have access to.
Is deleting them from my library the only option?

It's not an ideal solution ... but have you considered creating a second library (called, say, "Private Library") containing just the personal recordings?
To create the private library, hold down the shift key while launching iTunes. Click "Create Library" in the dialog that comes up.
Once you've created and opened the "Private library", don't activate home sharing for it. Now go "Edit > Preferences". In the "Advanced" tab, select "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library", as per the following screenshot:
... and click OK.
Now add the personal recordings to the Private Library.
To get back to your original library, quit iTunes. Hold down the Shift key while launching iTunes ... but this time click the "Choose library" button. Browse to the iTunes library file for your original library and doubleclick that. You should now be seeing your original library.
Delete the personal items from your original library.
Now, in order to see those recordings in iTunes, all you have to do is do a "Choose library" when launching iTunes, and open Private library. Because Home sharing isn't activated for Private library, your sister won't be able to access those recordings. (She won't be able to access your original library either, though, when you have Private library running.)

Is there any way to configure domain name in place of IP address for "Peer VPN device"

When I configure site to site vpn on asa it asks for the ip address for the remote vpn device and it works pretty fine if I confgure like this.
The problem is that the remote vpn device does not have static IP address, it changes on every reboot. I have configured Dymamic DNS for the interface but the problem is ASA does not take domain name as the "peer vpn device" address.
Is there any work around for this issue so that I don't need to configure vpn from scratch everytime the ip address of the remote device changes.
P.S. ASA vpn configuaration also does not allow me to change just the ip address of the remote device in the VPN configuration, I have to delete the current vpn and confgure a new one from the sratch everytime the ip address changes.

yes you can set a hostname in the 'crypto map set peer' command insetad of IP address, however, the ASA will resolve that name only once it is applied, hence, it will take the IP that name currently holds, and if it changes, it will not update it.
the easy solution for your case is to use static-to-dynamic L2L configuration. on your ASA, configure a dynamic crypto map, assign it to the static crypto map you have, and then add the pre-shared key to the Default L2L tunnel-group.
an example is given below:
crypto dynamic-map dyn_map set transform-set
crypto map VPN ipsec-isakmp dynamic dyn_map
tunnel-group DefaultL2LGroup ipsec-attributes
pre-shared-key
this way, you must initiate the tunnel from behind the remote device (not your ASA where the dynamic crypto map is configured) and it should work fine.

Is there any way to hide the menu bar?

I've been trying to find out if there's a way to hide the menu bar unless the mouse pointer is pushed up to the upper edge of the screen, I know there are third-party applications that let you do this (Menufela which uses Application Enhancer that I prefer to avoid as it is causes more problems than it solves as far as I'm concerned), I also know that it's possible to write applications that cause the menu bar to exhibit this behaviour while they're focused.
But what I'm looking for is a way to make it behave this way all the time without installing Application Enhancer and having to deal with all the headaches that come with it.
