Is there any way to increase the storage on my iphone 4s?

i recently bought an iphone 4s from o2. I would have gone for the 16GB option but unfortunately they only sold the 8GB--as do apple. I was wondering, is there any way I could upgrade my GB from 8 to 16? thank you!

There is no way to expand the storage on an iPhone. You can fit a little more on it by connecting it to iTunes, click on its name, then check "Convert higher bit rate songs to 128kbps AAC". The next time you sync music this will compress your music so it takes less space, at the cost of some audio quality. But probably not enough to notice unless you have $1,000 headphones.

In short, no. There is no fix yet. They only barely acknowledge there is a problem. The "fix" is to enable 200% UI scaling which makes everything comically huge and unusable. This is pretty much of a joke. A really, really EXPENSIVE joke.

The Camera Roll is for temporary storage as with any other digital camera. Although photos in the Camera Roll are included with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process, photos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer ASAP. If you didn't sync your iPhone with iTunes since these photos were captured by your iPhone and the photos in the Camera Roll weren't imported by your computer, the photos are gone.
Depending on how wealthy you are, you can contact a data recovery service to see if they can recover deleted photos from an iPhone's flash drive, but you will pay an arm and a leg for this. Such a data recovery service is not cheap and with no guarantee the data will be recoverable.

I have 15,686 photos on iPhoto 11. As I've been uploading the latest photos in the last two days I've been getting a message stating that my start-up disk is nearly full. I had no idea there was a limit. Is there any way of increasing its capacity? I have been shooting in Raw of late and I know it takes up a lot of space but I have heard of other people who have over 20,000 photos on their computers, so what is going on here??

Two possibiilities here:
1. Your start up disk is nearly full
Or
2. You have minor damage to the iPhoto Library and it's giving you a bogus message.
But here's the thing: A full start up disk is a very serious issue and needs to be dealt with fast.
So, how big is your Hard Disk? How much free space on it?

Depending on what you're trying to do, there are a few solutions.
If you're just using the machine normally & playing games, etc, then get some amplified speakers, or if you have a stereo system available at your work/home you can get an adapter cable that will let you run from the line out of the Mac Pro to the input jack on your stereo.
If you're looking to so more serious audio production, then look for an audio interface. Companies like M-Audio, MotU (Mark Of The Unicorn), Akai Pro, and Apogee (among others) make some great devices that connect via USB or Firewire, and will offer better sound out, which you can then connect either to an amplifier, studio monitors, or even PA gear.

Go to Application ->Shared Components -> Edit Security Attributes , take the "*Session Timeout*" section
The Maximum Session Idle Time in Seconds field is what you are looking for.

Unfortunately, no. That link will tell you if the phone has been reported stolen, but it has no way of knowing if the phone has been hacked, either physically or via software.
The other thing to watch out for is sometimes a shady seller will tell you a serial number that isn't the same as the phone you eventually get.
A high percentage of iPhones sold over the Internet are hacked or jailbroken, and many of them are also stolen.

Hi all - does anyone know if there is a way to allow FCE to natively edit more codecs than are listed in the default sequence settings? I use FCPro and have been encouraging folks at my University to use FCE for intermediate editing. I just found out that many formats supported in FCP are not supported in FCE.
Are there any plug-ins or anything we can buy to increase the types of files that FCE will support (in a sequence without rendering)?
Follow up: if not, can anyone tell me the specifics of the 720p30 AIC format that FCE uses?

It seems odd to me that FCE has such a limited number of formats it supports natively. And why isn't ProRes 422 a part of FCE? I thought that was their big thing now - HD wihtout taking up all the real estate that AIC does.

Well FCE is a stripped down version of FCP, for a fraction of the price. It was aimed to produce TV content in TV native resolution.
In the past years, HDV and AVCDHD were added through AIC codec.
For most of FCE users (from the beginner to intermediate video editors)those formats are adequate.
To have access to native HDV or to Apple ProRes 422, you have to buy Final Cut Studio 2. All those codecs will be available in FCE export with quickitme conversion settings.

I have iCal on my ipad and my phone, and when I look at the daily view or weekly view, only 1 1/2 lines are shown. If I have a few events that are all day (I keep several calendars) then I have to scroll through them one at a time. And with my fingers, sometimes they go by too fast. With Mac OS X, there is no way for you to alter the amount of real memory a program is allocated. This is all done dynamically by the OS. OS X's virtual memory management is far better than 'ole OS 9's.
What are saying about a memory leak? I take it that Safari is continually using more and more memory. How much memory is it usually taking up after a few hours? Perhaps you should just quit and restart Safari every few hours before it begins failing to respond.

Elements 13: Is there any way to increase the font size in the drop-down menus?

The font size in PSE Elements are impossibly small, and I don't see a way to enlarge them. I've tried through Windows system and through my monitor setup, but nothing I do affects the size of the menu font IN PSE 13. I have been using I.E. with myyahoo.com as my homepage and I started having a page freeze for 30 seconds (approx.) 5 or 6 times a session. this is powered thru ATT.net. I thought that Firefox may correct this problem. When I installed Firefox I decided to use myyahoo.com as my home page. Yahoo/IE has a magnifying glass icon in the lower right corner that allows me to increase the print size. When I am on Foxfire the basis text size is 1/16th of an inch! How can I increase this size?????????????
