Go to Application ->Shared Components -> Edit Security Attributes , take the "*Session Timeout*" section
The Maximum Session Idle Time in Seconds field is what you are looking for.

In short, no. There is no fix yet. They only barely acknowledge there is a problem. The "fix" is to enable 200% UI scaling which makes everything comically huge and unusable. This is pretty much of a joke. A really, really EXPENSIVE joke.

I have 15,686 photos on iPhoto 11 and am now, when uploading latest photos, getting a message saying that my startup disk is full. Is there any way of increasing the capacity of the start up disk?

I have 15,686 photos on iPhoto 11. As I've been uploading the latest photos in the last two days I've been getting a message stating that my start-up disk is nearly full. I had no idea there was a limit. Is there any way of increasing its capacity? I have been shooting in Raw of late and I know it takes up a lot of space but I have heard of other people who have over 20,000 photos on their computers, so what is going on here??

Two possibiilities here:
1. Your start up disk is nearly full
Or
2. You have minor damage to the iPhoto Library and it's giving you a bogus message.
But here's the thing: A full start up disk is a very serious issue and needs to be dealt with fast.
So, how big is your Hard Disk? How much free space on it?

As for your test VI using "Count Events or Time.vi", that is not working because you are only calling the VI once. In order to get a proper elapsed time, you need to call the VI a second time as shown in the attached picture "Using Count Events or Time VI.jpg".
In order to modify the original example to use a 100 kHz timebase instead of the 20 MHz timebase, see the attached picture "Time With Counters (DAQ) - Modified to 100 kHz.jpg". The changes you need to make are circled in red.
I also meant to point out in my previous post that there is another example on the DevZone that does the same thing (time code with counters) using the newer DAQmx driver. I would encourage you to use this example as it will make your application more supportable and maintainable in the future. By default, this example also uses the 20 MHz timebase. In order to modify it to use the 100 kHz timebase, see the attached picture "Time_With_Counters (DAQmx) - Modified to 100 kHz.jpg" To select the 100 kHz timebase in the DAQmx terminal constant, you will have to right click on that constant, go to "I/O Name Filtering" and select "Include Advanced Terminals". You will have to select "/Dev1/100kHzTimebase", and then you can delete the "/Dev1/" part.

Is there any way to increase the contrast of the slider in the Table of Contents? It becomes very hard to see as you slide down a presentation. This has been asked before, a few years back. Has a solution been provided?

Is there any way to tweak it so that I can increase contrast, or recolor it in a darker tone? Depending on what you're trying to do, there are a few solutions.
If you're just using the machine normally & playing games, etc, then get some amplified speakers, or if you have a stereo system available at your work/home you can get an adapter cable that will let you run from the line out of the Mac Pro to the input jack on your stereo.
If you're looking to so more serious audio production, then look for an audio interface. Companies like M-Audio, MotU (Mark Of The Unicorn), Akai Pro, and Apogee (among others) make some great devices that connect via USB or Firewire, and will offer better sound out, which you can then connect either to an amplifier, studio monitors, or even PA gear.

I have iCal on my ipad and my phone, and when I look at the daily view or weekly view, only 1 1/2 lines are shown. If I have a few events that are all day (I keep several calendars) then I have to scroll through them one at a time. And with my fingers, sometimes they go by too fast. With Mac OS X, there is no way for you to alter the amount of real memory a program is allocated. This is all done dynamically by the OS. OS X's virtual memory management is far better than 'ole OS 9's.
What are saying about a memory leak? I take it that Safari is continually using more and more memory. How much memory is it usually taking up after a few hours? Perhaps you should just quit and restart Safari every few hours before it begins failing to respond.

Is there any way to increase the number of codecs supported in FCE?

Hi all - does anyone know if there is a way to allow FCE to natively edit more codecs than are listed in the default sequence settings? I use FCPro and have been encouraging folks at my University to use FCE for intermediate editing. I just found out that many formats supported in FCP are not supported in FCE.
Are there any plug-ins or anything we can buy to increase the types of files that FCE will support (in a sequence without rendering)?
Follow up: if not, can anyone tell me the specifics of the 720p30 AIC format that FCE uses?

It seems odd to me that FCE has such a limited number of formats it supports natively. And why isn't ProRes 422 a part of FCE? I thought that was their big thing now - HD wihtout taking up all the real estate that AIC does.

Well FCE is a stripped down version of FCP, for a fraction of the price. It was aimed to produce TV content in TV native resolution.
In the past years, HDV and AVCDHD were added through AIC codec.
For most of FCE users (from the beginner to intermediate video editors)those formats are adequate.
To have access to native HDV or to Apple ProRes 422, you have to buy Final Cut Studio 2. All those codecs will be available in FCE export with quickitme conversion settings.

I have been using I.E. with myyahoo.com as my homepage and I started having a page freeze for 30 seconds (approx.) 5 or 6 times a session. this is powered thru ATT.net. I thought that Firefox may correct this problem. When I installed Firefox I decided to use myyahoo.com as my home page. Yahoo/IE has a magnifying glass icon in the lower right corner that allows me to increase the print size. When I am on Foxfire the basis text size is 1/16th of an inch! How can I increase this size?????????????

1. The Firefox [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Page+Zoom Page Zoom] feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.

Elements 13: Is there any way to increase the font size in the drop-down menus?

The font size in PSE Elements are impossibly small, and I don't see a way to enlarge them. I've tried through Windows system and through my monitor setup, but nothing I do affects the size of the menu font IN PSE 13. They are so small that I wonder if it could have been an oversight by Adobe???. I don't have this issue with any other program that I use, and I use many, really a lot.
