Is there any way to retrieve notes from a broken iphone via usb connection?

I have an old broken iphone 3g and I want to retrieve the notes from my old phone; however, there is absolutely no way I can turn the phone on and manually email the notes to myself.  Is there any way I can retrieve the notes from a file transfer system once synching up the iphone to my computer?  If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks

If the phone doesn't power on and isn't seen by the computer then you wouldn't be able to pull data off it with the USB connection to your computer.
You could pursue data recovery if the notes are very valuable, but the cost can be similar to having data recovered from a failed computer drive(possibly prohibitively expensive).

There is no trash can.  When you delete, they are gone.
You may be able to restore from backup.

  • Is there any way to retrieve photos from a dead iphone 4?

The mainboard on my wife's iPhone 4 has died maybe due to water. It's dead and I've had it confirmed by apple. Photostream was not on and it wasn't backed up in a long time.

no, there is no way to retrieve your photos short of some forensic service that would likely cost you thousands of dollars.

  • Is there any way to save data from a broken Iphone that still turns on but computer wont recognise it?

My iphone 4 was thrown at the floor and smashed. It charges still, and switches between showing the apple logo on screen, to blank, and then sometimes to the initial start up screen where it asks me to connect it to itunes. When plugged into the computer however the computer doesn't show it in Devices, and it doesn't appear in Itunes. I am wondering if there are any options to try and get all my photos and contacts off it in particular.  I am not sure if itunes backed up the data when i updated the phone previously... Thank you so much for any help, i appreciate it so much!

If a repairer was too look at it and they are not with Apple, you would void your warranty entirely.
To check previous backups, go into Edit>Preferences>Devices on Windows, and iTunes>Preferences>Devices for Mac, that will show a list of backups

Yes.  Sign in to the iTunes Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy the music in settings on the phone.
Then tap on "purchased" in the iTunes app on the phone and download the music to your new iPhone.

  • Is there any way to retrieve photos from a 5c that has gone into recovery mode?

is there any way to retrieve photos from a 5c that has gone into recovery mode?

No, by the time its in recovery mode it's too late. The contents of the phone are gone. Did enable any of the ways that Apple provides to back up photos?
Backup the phone to your computer
Automatic daily iPhone backup to iCloud
    enable Photo Stream
Copy photos to your computer using a USB cable and a compatible photo management utility on your computer
    Enable Photo Sharing
    Enable Photo Library backup
OR any of the 3rd party photo management solutions, such as Google Picasa, Google+, Facebook, Shutterfly?
OR any of the cloud sharing services such as box.com or dropbox?
If you have set up any one of these your photos can be retrieved from it.

  • Is there any way to retrieve Data from permanently crashed Palm?

I have a treo 755p that seemed to die on me. I can't get it past the "Access" opening page when I power on.  The phone gave me a message about memory shortfall after a phone call and that was it.  My service provider -Telus- no longer handles Palm and so they quickly told me that it was toast... but I'm suspicious...  They want to get me into a Blackberry.
I have discovered that everthing was backed up except for my Versamail and I had some important emails stored there.  Is there some way that this information can be accessed in any way?  Is there something I can try to do?  The person at the store tried to reset the phone but that apparently did not work.
So... two parts to the the question: Can somebody tell me what steps I can do to save my Treo and if it is dead... is there any way to access the phone's hard drive?

Hello and thank you for using the Palm Help Forums!
I am sorry to hear about the problem you are having. Unfortunately, the device does need to be fully booted to access the memory and sync it. If it is not able to boot, there is no supported way of getting your data off of that unit. A hard reset may resolve the boot issue you are having but the data would be lost. However, you can try a hard reset and answer "No" to erasing your data to see if it will fully boot. I will epxlain this process in further detail.
To hard reset the device you will want to remove the battery. Before placing the battery back in the device, hold down the red (end call) button. While holding down that button reinsert the battery. Continue holding the red button until the loading bar at the bottom completes. You will then be prompted with a message "Erase All Data Yes or No." You will then press DOWN on the 5 way navigator to respond "No" to this prompt. If the device still gets stuck and will not boot then you must answer "Yes" to resolve the issue. NOTE: BY ANSWERING YES WILL ERASE ALL DATA CURRENTLY STORED ON THE DEVICE.
I hope this helps in resolving the issue you are having. Future advice: Hotsync your device to a computer regularly to keep a back up of your data just incase if these problems occur.

  • Is there any way to control an iPod with a lock via USB cable?

I have an iPod touch 4th generation, but I dropped it. The touchscreen no longer works, which is most likely a hardware error (I've tried resetting it). I plan to get a new device, but before that, I would like to be able to unlock it to access certain files and transfer codes inside. I know the lock password to my iPod; is there any way I could control it with my computer?
    Thanks.

  • Is there any way to recover pictures from my new iPhone?

I had gotten an iphone 5 for christmas and since then had been using it regularly and everything was going perfectly fine. The only thing I was dumb enough not to do was plug it into my computer to get it all set up on itunes and such. So yesterday I finally decided to do that, and I made the stupid mistake of not regestering it as a new iphone and instead hit the restore from old phone back up thinking that it would just update my apps or the notes that I was missing from my old phone. So all the pictures from my phone before the restore are completely gone, and after trying a bunch of different things I just resorted to set it to factory settings and start new. But now one thing that is strange is that my photos were (supposively) saving to the photo stream, so from before the first restore I was able to find about 70 of the 400 pictures I am currently missing, but what I find weird is that the stream only has the first 50 photos that I took and then the last 24 that I had taken since the beginning of last week. So I guess my question is if there is a way to restore pictures from your photostream or access it's data at all? I don't know what else to do to get my photos back.
    thanks in advance.

How long has it been since you setup the iPhone again and entered your iCloud information? You might just have to give it a little more time to finish adding the other Photo Stream photos.
Try checking the Photo Stream on your PC or Mac.
    iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
On your Mac, they appear in the Photo Stream view in iPhoto or Aperture. In iPhoto 9.4 or later or in Aperture 3.4 or later, open the My Photo Stream album in the Photo Stream view.
On a PC using Windows 8, from the Start screen, select Photo Stream. On a PC using Windows 7 or VIsta, click the Windows Start button, and then Pictures. Click Photo Stream under the Favorites menu in the panel on the left. Double-click My Photo Stream to view your photos.

  • Is there any way to retrieve photos from an IPhone backup on a PC?

Recently restored iPhone. Realized camera roll pix had not been synced properly. Attempted to retrieve photos to no avail. Where do the pix reside and can i retrieve them on a PC back to the phone? Any help appreciated.

If the photos were on the iphone when the last sync was performed, then you should be able to restore from backup.

  • Is there any way to retrieve notes

that disappeared when I set up iCloud? I lost three papers I'd worked on this weekend. I wanted them to sync with my phone and mistakenly thought iCloud was the answer. Instead they were deleted. Where are they?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The difficulty in restoring iCloud data from a back up is that the back up is older than the current version on iCloud and anything that is restored gets removed again when an iCloud sync occurs. I have previously suggested ways to recover contacts, calendars etc, and other users have confirmed that they work, as such I am making the following suggestions to recover lost notes, but please note, as yet success is unconfirmed.
Recovering your notes is quite time consuming, you may wish not to save all your notes to save some time, if they are not of importance.
        1.    Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
        2.    Start the restore from iCloud back up.
        3.    Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
        4.    As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
        5.    Wait for the time out confirmation.
        6.    Open the 'Notes' app, and open your first note (assuming your deleted notes have now been restored).
        7.    Select the share option at the foot of the screen (rectangle with arrow) and choose mail.
        8.    Send the email to yourself (If they won't send, save them to draft)
        9.    Repeat steps 7 & 8, until you have copied all the notes you wish to save to email.
        10.    Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
        11.    Navigate to settings > iCloud and make sure 'Notes' syncing is enabled.
        12.    Open the 'Notes' app, check that iCloud notes have reverted to how they were before starting the restore.
        13.    Open the 'Mail' app and open the first email you sent yourself and copy the text you want in the note.
        14.    Open the 'Notes' app and create a new note in the iCloud, paste the text you copied.
        15.    Go to iCloud.com on a computer and check that the note has synced to iCloud.
        16.    Repeat steps 12, 13 & 14 until you have recovered all your notes.
May I suggest that you carry out a back up to iTunes before you try anything, that way should things become even worse, you can at least restore back to where you are now.

  • Is there any way to retrieve files from my Original Aperture 2 library after conversion to Aperture 3?

My original conversion locked up due to damaged file. I repaired Library and process completed,I thought! Now I'm finding folders from the conversion empty. I can go back to the Original Library and use the show contents command to view the files. They are still in place, but the import process in Aperture 3 doesn't see the files to import? Any ideas on how to retrive these missing files?

Thanks for the info. I do have the Aperture 2 disc so I'll re-install and repair library then give it a go again. It will probably take a few days as I have a HUGE library. I'll let you know the outcome when it completes! Thanks again for the help.

  • Is there any way to retrieve pictures from a lost iPod touch (4th generation)?

I lost my iPod awhile back and it had some really important photos on it. It recently has been bugging me a lot and can't seem to find anything to solve my problem.

If they are an iTunes backup of your iPod then extract them by:
