I have found that ios 6 has slowed my ipad 2, even made it glichy. the internet has been disconecting randomly, and even shuts down itself the odd time since installing it.

There is no Apple Supported downgrade path...

I downloaded ios 7 for my iPhone 4 yesterday and it's basically ruined my phone, the speed and performance of the phone is ridiculously slow, I find myself typing without knowing what I'm typing until it finally catches up... Is there any way of me going back to ios 6? Or just speeding up 7 on my phone? If there's no way then I don't know why Apple have made ios 7 compatible with iPhone 4's.

Try turning Background App Refresh off. Mine iPhone 4 immediately picked up speed when I turned that off. It's not as quick as 6.1.3 but very close and definitely usable.
iOS 4 turned my iPhone 3 into a brick and it took me quite a while debugging this iPhone 4 after installing iOS 6. Keep searching the discussion groups for possible answers. You might install an app like System Activity Monitor which will show you if one application or process is hogging processor time and thus slowing down the phone. You might have to google the process to find which app it is associated with, but this will give you a clue. There is an answer. You can't downgrade--at least not that I'm aware of--so keep working on finding the answer.

Yes it is permanent change. Apple does not allow you to downgrade once you have updated to the current iOS.

IOS 6 doesn't play well with iPhone 4. Apple maps are a waste of time, it's running really slow and crashes all the time.
Bit of feedback for Apple on Apple maps - you need a map for navigation, not so you can see cities in pretty 3D? map an App for the 3D! Give us something useful and accurate. You really should have given us the option to choose between default mapping applications instead of taking it all out of our hands.

Though using a map in safari is very difficult on a small screen.
If I want to link to the map from an address in a website, email or message won't the phone always default to opening the apple map?

If you had previously been backing up to iCloud (or a computer with iTunes), you would possibly have a backup. That said, if you can't turn the phone on, you cannot create a backup of the device now. Sorry.

Tiny Hotmail - Accidentally switched to "PC view" and can't switch backnd any way to switch back

While reading Hotmail on my iPhone, I accidentally hit a button called "PC View," and my view changed to something that looks like my Hotmail on my laptop, but it's so tiny that it's illegible, and it isn't well organized for a mobile device. But I can't find any way to switch back to the other view. I have refreshed the window, closed it, and returned, and I've clicked on everything I can see, but nothing seems to work. I can't use my mail with this view. This is a stupid user error, I know, but there must be some way to recover. Can anyone help?

Is there a way to switch back to the old color scheme for the keypad? After upgrading to ios 6, the keypad switched to a black-on-white color scheme. I have a severe visual impairment and found the previous white-on-black color scheme much easier to see and use.
The inverted colors option doesn’t make things look all that better. My dad, who does not have any serious vision problems, has put off upgrading his iphone because of the color scheme changes.

I have exactly the same concern. It seems it would be a simple fix for Apple to allow users to turn off the camera (and even the mic) while keeping FaceTime open -- especially now that it turns out FaceTime must remain open in order to send and receive iPhone calls on a Mac.
I like to think this new functionality of FaceTime will be baked into a future release of Yosemite, as the current setup has that not-quite-finished feel of a work in progress. On purchasing a new imac I copied the apps across & on opening CS6 was requested to load serial numbers, through tiredness I added the seria; number from CS5.5 and therefore not recognised for the CS6, then when about to enter again through tiredness I must have clicked free trial and now have the CS6 in that format.
Is there any way of getting back to that initial box to load the correct numbers & get out of trial as although it works I need it set up correctly?

Have your page in the visual design mode then go to the Design->Page Properties menu and you'll be able to select auto-bind on the second tab.

When closing multiple tabs, is there any way to get back the option of saving those tabs OR NOT for your next session, within the warning dialogue box itself?

For brief period of time, not in FF4, there was the option whereby when I closed multiple tabs, a firefox dialogue box opened warning me that I'm about to close multiple tabs, '''AND ALSO''' asking me if wanted to save those tabs for my next session, or trash them.
The primary issue IS NOT about saving tabs. The primary question here is about getting THE OPTION back to the CLOSING MULTIPLE TABS WARNING DIALOGUE.
The use case here should be obvious. However, since it is clearly not obvious that different people work in a variety of ways, and neither of those methods of working is "wrong" or "right" I will elaborate: Some people, for whatever reason, it doesn't matter why, want to save all their tabs on some occasions, and on other occasions don't.
This preference varies throughout the day. Therefore it is inefficient to constantly go to preferences and change whether or not I want firefox to open all my tabs from my last session. It is more LOGICAL to place an option in the multiple tab warning dialogue as well, for people whose preference constantly changes.
This option was available for a time in most of the Firefox 3 versions. Is there any way to get back this option in Firefox 4?

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no need for asking if you want to save the current session.
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session. 
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.
You can set the warn prefs on the about:config page to true via the right-click context menu or toggle the value with a double left-click.
