If the phone doesn't power on and isn't seen by the computer then you wouldn't be able to pull data off it with the USB connection to your computer.
You could pursue data recovery if the notes are very valuable, but the cost can be similar to having data recovered from a failed computer drive(possibly prohibitively expensive).

I assume that you don't have the installation discs, so:
1. Reboot
2. Hold command + s key down after you hear the chime.
3. When you get a text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
(Type these commands very carefully)
mount -uw /
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -h now
4. You will go through the setup process again, create a new admin account, login to it and then change your existing account password or whatever else you need to do. You can delete the account you made in this process, or not.

I want to be able to access the notes from the iPhone 4 notes app on a Macbook Pro, running Snow Leopard, without using Mail. Is there a way to do this? Any good 3rd party software that does it without storing the information in the Cloud?

My last laptop was also a macbook pro from three years ago, and that one had way better speakers. I'm hearing way too much high mids, and very little bass coming out of the speakers on this one, and it's really really noticeable. I know the speakers on these aren't supposed to be amazing, but the huge difference from the last generation of macbook pros makes me wonder if there's just something wrong with my new computer... Does anyone know if there's any way to adjust this, or can anyone at least confirm that the speakers are just way worse than the last generation?

All the laptops have poor sound, not surprising really considering the half inch speakers driven by less tha 2W, spend any amount you like on an external pair, even the cheapest will outperform the internals.

Sync information from Iphone to Macbook Pro?

Recently my Macbook pro was stolen from me and I just recently got a new one. My Iphone has all of my song's and what not's on it and I want to transfer them to m new Macbook. The sync process for iTunes content is a one way transfer process only, and the same for photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process.
Your iTunes library on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data - the iTunes named folder located in your Music folder.
