Is there anyway to get a number of my authorizations back?

My Hard drive was getting wiped out every week or so and I have had to reformat 3 to 4 times for the past month. Is there anyway to get my number of authorizations back? I think that this is kind of lame. My computer gets hosed, my ITunes get wiped, the new songs I bought wont fit on my IPod and those get wiped out as well and I cant get those back. Now soon I wont be able to play any of the ITunes music I bought on my Ipod if there is no way of fixing this.

You can use these instructions to reset your authorizations, but after using the option, you won't be able to use it again for a year. You should try to find out why you need to reformat your hard disk, and if possible, fix whatever is causing your issue.

Yes, if you have any backups on file. If you are using windows, go to edit>preferences, if on a mac, go to itunes>preferences.
When you are in the preferences page, choose the device tab.
Look for a backup of the ipod, if there is, you can just hover your mouse over the backup, dont click or anything, but after a moment or two, a little box will pop up with you serial number.

I purchased an IPhone back in April but have yet to ever update it using the itunes. Today I installed ITunes64 version 10.5.0.142 and connected my IPhone to my PC. In the process of updating the iphone,the update process performs a backup of your phone prior to updating the ios software. Connect your phone via usb,if itunes doesn't luanch,then luanch the app manually,on the left side pane of itunes the name of your phone will be listed under devices,right click on the name of your phone,and select restore from backup, then just follow the process. In the future it's very important to backup your iphone on a regular basis via icloud or itunes.Hope it all goes well for you
After rereading your oringinal post, I would first just resync it via itunes on your computer before I did a rstore from backup.

Just went to put some music on my new as of Sunday iphone. It's the newest one, and I had some new pictures and a video on it. And I don't think there is any way to get texts back either. So not much data but it meant a lot to me. And then I accidently synced my old ipod touch data to it, and it erased all the contacts I had to already put in by hand the day I got it, because the transer machine wasn't working. So needless to say I just really, really want my data back. I'm crying right now because I don't think there's a way to fix it.

Hmm, well, if you've been using iCloud, or if you've backed up your new iPhone to iTunes between Sunday and your data loss, then you should be able to recover.

And I thought the whole point of an App Tab was to always have those tabs there no matter what window is open all the time period.
It's a minor complaint but I would really appreciate the option to permanently have them there.

I thought that app tabs would be more persistent, like pinning programs to the taskbar in Windows, but this is not the case.
Instead, once you close a Firefox window, all its tabs and app tabs are lost.
Essentially, this means that the close button in the upper-left corner of a Firefox window is now a "kill all open tabs and loose all App Tabs without warning++ " button. That is not cool.
I realize that "Firefox > Quit Firefox" behaves as intended, but many people use the more obvious red close button instead of the menu to close windows on a Mac. And it is easy to forget that the red button is now also an app-tab-death button. I've lost my app tabs many times to this issue. It is an unforgiving user interface decision which hampers the usability of app tabs. Why should I go through the extra clicks of setting up app tabs if I can loose them so easily?
Ideally, App Tabs could be saved separately from the currently open windows (perhaps create an option to save then to a special Tab Group that opens on startup?). App tabs would be exceedingly useful to me if they weren't so easy to loose.
On that note, saving Tab Groups would also be a useful functionality.
++ You will get a "closing multiple tabs" warning if you have only one window open, and that one window has multiple non-app tabs open, and you have enabled the warning in Preferences. But this too unreliable to help prevent the loss of app tabs.

Connect the iPod to your syncing computer and restore it via iTunes. However, if iTunes asks for the unknown passcode you need to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod from backup. For recovey mode see:

I use the computer for music, photos, and web - nothing else and nothing fancy. I don't know that there is a way to save my huge music library without saving it to an external hard drive and then loading it to a new one (does the iPad have a port to plug an external hard drive into?)

First, you would need to make a backup of the entire iTunes folder on the PC. You could get music to the iPad if the PC was still functioning, or you would have to move the music to another computer. An iPad is not a laptop, and does not have a port to plug an external drive into. You can sync music to the iPad from the computer, but you are correct, unless you get iTunes Match, you would need a computer to copy the music to and then sync to an iPad.

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases

Depending upon what country that you are in (and if you haven't changed countries since buying it and it's still in your store) then you might be able to redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone.
You should also be regularly connecting your phone to your computer's iTunes and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so as to copy all of your downloads over so that you can take a backup copy of them (and preferably taking a backup of the phone if you have any important documents and/or photos on it) - apps and other downloads could also be potentially be removed from a country's store at any time, so you may not be able to redownload them either.

In the History Panel (on the left) of the Develop Module, click on any previous edit to see what the photo looked like at that step.
If you are going to regularly want to see two versions of edits on a single photo, consider using either virtual copies or snapshots.
