Is there anyway to have maps not take highways, and only use back roads?
Sometimes I enjoy taking the longer, scenic route, but have no idea how to get maps to give me directions that don't keep trying to direct me to the highway, or if it's even possible!

When someone says that their computer died, the first question to ask is if the hard drive died or a power supply. If the hard drive died without a backup, you have an expensive data recovery process to explore. If the computer died because of some other cause, the hard drive can still be put into an external drive and data copied over to another drive.
Your first task is to find someone who has all the tools. What you are asking is a very simple matter for someone with plenty of older computers on hand. Please give more information about what the computer is doing. Does it still make noise when you turn it on? Does it chime? Does the hard drive click? Is it just the monitor that does not come on? Do you see a flashing ? when you turn on the computer. Every noise means something different.

Is there anyway to have the ability to edit and add contacts without syncing to the cloud?
My husband and I share an account. He has a very large number of contacts that I do not need and don't want on my phone. I turned off syncing my contacts to the cloud for this reason but now do not seem to have the ability to add contacts or edit my existing contacts. Any suggestions?
It seems like you need to set up your own iCloud account. Just set one up different from his. Create a new one if you don't have another already.

PSE 7 has a scrolling filmstrip view of all open images at the bottom of the workspace, making it very easy to see and select all open images. Is there anyway to have this feature in Photoshop CS 4?
Not really, but you can experiment with the drop-down menu in the top bar.

I am trying to restore a backup onto my iphone from itunes on a pc windows 8 but it asked me for a backup password which I cant remember, is there anyway that I can reset the password and not lose my backup? Any help is very appreciated

You are referring to a feature called Clamshell Mode, please read Clamshell Mode setup for instructions.

Is there anyway to have one bookmark per playlist?
This would be fantasic and it's such a shame it doesn't do it all ready: Is there anyway to have a bookmark, it remember your position that is, per playlist instead of just one bookmark, one position remembered? So I'm listening to one playlist and get up to a point. I then switch to another playlist and get up to a point. Then switch back to the first playlist and it remembers where I was up to. That's what I'd very much like to be able to do. Is there anyway to have that happen? Thanks.
It looks like the software here: http://ipod.capacala.com gives the functionality I'm after (I think). "The iPod will remember the playback position of audiobooks by placing a bookmark on them when you switch to another track." Brilliant. Apart from that software is for Windows and I have a Mac. Anyone know of a Mac way of doing this? Thanks.
