Is there anyway to set my computer to not require a password at startup?

I am disabled and unable to type on the keyboard. Can I set my computer not require password at start up? If not, is it safe to just let it sleep when I'm not using it, meaning it would be on 24/7.

Sure. Go to the "Useres & Groups" System Preference and type "Change Password" and then remove the password for the account. Also in the "Security and Privacy" pane, ensure that "Require Password..." is unchecked.
Also, you will have to disable FileVault, if it's enabled.
Note that anybody in the world will have access to all your data should they access your computer, but I assume you're aware of that.

I use my Mac with Adobe Creative Suite (3) to make files (jpeg) that are formatted for cell phones to make animated and static wallpapers for phones to make a profit and i got a new printer because my old printer broke. on my old printer it would show on the desktop or in the finder sidebar as "epson17401..." I could put a micro SD in the printer and put files on there and take it out and put it into the phone with no problems with no problem. Now with this printer (Canon Pixma MX870) when i try to put the same kind of files on the micro SD memory card via printer it asks for a admin password. So i used to put files on daily but i can't ask the IT person EVERY time i want to put a file on. So my question is in parents controls is there a way to say that it is okay to put files to that drive without the need for a password?

I think parental controls only restricts. It doesn't grant additional privileges that weren't already there.
While logged in as an admin, check the permissions on the SD drive and all folders inside it. Make sure they are all set to give everyone read and write permission. Then try it again as an unprivileged user.

Is there anyway to set different folders for content in itunes?

I get that you can set iTunes media file location. I assume this will be the location for all media from itunes as well as ripped cd's ect. Is there anyway to set the location for different media formats independantly.
ie All my music is in My Music I mainly rip CD's and I would like these to go into My Music. At the same time I don't want iTunes to mix in videos books ect ect.

I just spent 1/2 hour looking for gapless, why the heck did they remove it? Stupid. I don't want the program deciding for me - just SO STUPID. Man iTunes 11 is such a disaster - didn't they have anyone who actually uses the program spend time with the features? They relocated all this basic stuff and it's now totally counterintuitive. My wife and I have iPhones, and also have an iPad. We also have three children, and recently they have been trying to guess our passcodes so that they can watch videos and play games. Trouble is, after 10 attempts, the device will disable for 60 seconds, and then if the 11th attempt is wrong, the device will disable for 5 minutes, etc. My iPad is currently disabled for 60-minutes. Grrr.
Is there anyway to set a passcode to keep the children out, and yet prevent the device from being disabled on successive attempts? I realise that this feature is there to protect our devices from brute-force attacks, but we are being penalised, in that our devices become disabled for a period of time.

Well, so you have to ask: Is the problem your iPad or your children? Another question: If they're not to watch videos or play games, then why are they on the iPad in the first place?

i believe it zooms, even if the parallax feature is turned off (which can be toggled by going to settings -> general -> accessibility -> reduce motion

You must use a computer. There is no way around it for you.
You have to restore the device within iTunes. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad. You will have to download all of your purchased content again after you unlock the device.

Is there any way to text message a note or an email?
So what if I need to send quite a lot of information via text message (because say, someone doesn't have email access) but I don' t want to type out a long message on my iPhone. Perhaps I have a lot of information already emailed to me and I need to forward it by text message.
So, i can't copy and paste, so can I not create a note on my mac, then sync it to my iPhone and then text message it?
At least on any normal mobile phone in the past I could create a note in, say, TextEdit and then save it. I could then send it to my phone via bluetooth and then text message the note.
Is there anything remotely possible like this on the iPhone?

I did overlook the fact that you can send free sms's via the web. However, this wouldn't solve the problem of, say, being away from a computer when receiving an email with complicated details you wanted to then sms to somebody else.
Then again if I could copy and paste on the iPhone it would solve all of this.
It is a very frustrating missing function on the iPhone. I hope they sort it out soon.
BTW I have found apps that allow you to export sms's direct from your iPhone, but you cannot import:

How to download flash player when computer does not have a password?

I am trying to update flash player on my Mac. I do not have a password for this computer. I have done updates before, and just ignored the box where it asks for password. Now, when I ignore this box, I can't go forward. What can I do?

If you have set a blank Administrator password, then the install should go forward with the blank password.
If not, then I would assume it to be a problem with your operating system. Contact Apple.

Set primary file as not required

Hi,
In a check-in form, there are two fields to upload a file:
Primary file with is mandatory.
Alternate file with is not mandatory.
Based on fact that those fields are not listed in the configuration manager metadata list, is it possible to set Primary file field as not required?
This procedure is necessary because sometimes I have to check in metadata from physical files (document on paper) and later, update the content with the scanned file (digital document).

I lost an iphone 2 mounth ago and i could not track my iphone because the thief had shut down my iphone ! Since that time i was thinking about some tweaks in iphone that we can set our devices on in order to do a nice trick on thieves.
The iphone pretend to be shut down and leave the screen on when there is attemp to shut down by a thief (so the iphone is on, but the screen is off ) ! therefor theif thinks the device is off, meanwhile the celluar date and find my iphone(icloud) will be switched on if they are switched off !
So it is much easier for people to locate their ios device and i think this is the best way for getting back the stolen ios devices !!!!

You want a passcode required to power off the device? So... what if you forget your password? What then?
