Is this the problem?

I posted a few days ago about an iMac that couldn't connect to AE via Ethernet. No responses, but from reading a lot of other posts, I think I have problem diagnosed - but I need help with the solution.
The Ethernet wants to connect via PPPoE, but my hunch is that PPPoE is how AE is talking to my DSL modem; when my Ethernet connected G4 wants to talk to AE, it too is trying to do it via PPPoE, and that is probably the problem. (?) If, indeed that is the issue - I keep getting a "no PPPoE found" message on the G4 - then what/how do I configure the Ethernet to talk to AE not using PPPoE. It appears I can do it Manually, but I have no clue as what that entails, and I don't want to mess up AE, which is working very nicely with the two wireless computers.

I'm assuming that your ISP requires that you provide credentials (UserID/password) to be authenticated before using their service ... and this is done with PPPoE.
If that's the case, only the device directly connected to the Internet is required to be set up to provide these credentials. That could be the DSL modem or your AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS). As such, all other devices should be configured for "Using DHCP." for your G4, you want to go into the Built-in Ethernet settings and disable PPPoE.

If Safari is working otherwise and you can log onto other websites, try clearing Safari and reset your iPad. That might help with the Twitter app as well.
Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

HT1567 I can't see any music I previously saved. I tried to see if the it was hidden-my wife has just set up her own iTunes account, so i checked "previous iTunes library and this is now displayed at the top of the screen -is this the problem?

I couldn't see any music on iTunes that I had previously saved. I looked in Previous iTunes library. "Previous iTunes Library" now appears at the top of my iTunes screen, is this the problem? If so how do I fix it so i can access my saved music?Also my wife just before this set up her own iTunes account on this PC.

For an updated, I performed an SMC reset and that has solved the problem for the time being. This thread on the World of Warcraft Mac Technical support forum is very helpful, though it seems the issue has not yet been resolved and the SMC reset is a temporary fix at best.

Hmm... Just found out the 6 and 6 Plus were updated to 8.1.1 today. Coincidently, that's when this started.
Another thing is both phones ring and you can answer either one, or both. fwding is not selected.

Hopefully one of these steps should solve the problem.
1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
    Highlight Internal Speakers
    Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
2. Remove the headphone.
    If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
    in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
    Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.

    Choose the method for:
    "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
5. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup

    Under Mute any of the boxes checked? If so, uncheck it.
6. System Preferences > Sound> Sound Effects
    Play sound effects through:
   Select "Internal speakers" and then back to "Selected sound output device".

This update still crashes for no known reason. I ran the application 'Main Menu' on it and here is what it came up with when it repaired disk permissions:

Upgraded to Ver 8. When I am in Ms Outlook, and I click on a link, I received a message "An error occurred in sending the command to the application." Ffox did disable some Add-ons, so is this the problem?

Prior to the upgrade, with FFox open, I could click on a link in a message in the Ms Outlook 2010 program and then it would open in Ffox.
Now with every click, the full error message states "General failure. The URL was < url listed >. An error occurred in sending the command to the application." After the OK button another message asks "Was this information helpful?"
When click I received a choice of Yes, No, or Cancel with the response going to the Microsoft Customer Experience Improvement center.
It could be a Ms error but it started after the new version of Ffox.

There's a long standing issue with Kodaks and OS X. Workatound: use a USB Card Reader.
