Try to go to v1.1.1 first, add patch 3 and then go to v1.1.2.

Upgrade from Cisco ISE, Release 1.1.1 to release 1.1.2
Before you can upgrade to Cisco ISE, Release 1.1.2, you must first be sure you have upgraded your machine to Cisco ISE, Release 1.1.1 with patch 3 applied. For specific instructions on performing the upgrade procedure, see the Cisco Identity Services Engine Upgrade Guide, Release 1.1.x.

Upgrade fails from snow leopard to Mountain lion, It says intall failed.
I follow below steps to upgrade my Mac mini from Snow Leo to Mountain Lion.
Purchase Mountain Lion from App Store
Pay $19.99
It downloads 4.5GB
Ask me for restart
Installation starts with 37min remaining to install the OS
Around 11min remaining, It fails.
Error Says (Install Failed, OS X could not be installed on your computer)
I tried restarting 5 times, but same result evertime.
Any help will be really appreciated.Do you know how much RAM you have?
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, or are running 10.7+, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitiion & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Permissions.
Re-install if that doesn't work. -
Why do all IOS upgrades fail from my MBP?
This isn't the most critical post in the world (I have work around available)... I have not been able to simply update any IOS device from my MBP, I always have the same problem the update hangs mid stream (after the IOS device reboots, and the new IOS is being installed (the progress bar on the IOS device stops in the last 10%)).
Devices effected
iPhone 3g (can't remember all of the IOS that I had on that phone but I am guessing IOS 3 - IOS 4.3.2)
iPhone 4 (IOS 4 - IOS 5.0.1)
iPhone 4S (I just got it, and I don't remember upgrading it, though I probably did it unteathered).
iPad 2 (IOS 4.something - IOS 5 <- trying to go up to IOS 5.0.1).
MBP
~2009-2010 MBP (Snow Leopard and Lion)
Disk space - 10+gb free
For years I've tried to reinstall itunes, I've tried different cables, I even upgraded my os to Lion, I always have the same problem... my solution has always been the same take it to my Windows PC, factory reinstall then restore from my MBP. For the future I guess I will use the Wi-Fi update, but it's very annoying that I can't use my MBP to upgrade my IOS devices... and kind of a slap that I have to use my Windows PC to fix the problems caused by my Mac... anyone else had this problem?Hit '''F11''' to get out of the Full Screen mode.

Is your data backed up? How much free hard disk space do you have? Do you have any other version of Mac OS X currently installed? Does your Mac have Firewire ports? And are you using the retail 10.4.6 disc or gray discs which came with another Mac?

Attempted upgrade (failed) from 10.4.11 to 10.5 now cannot login
BDAqua: I think there is something seriously amiss. I accessed disk utility via the install disk 1. Selected erase , Options: zero out. Last nite you estimated 3-4 hours possibly....the # hours to complete is reflecting as 56! That cannot be right...nor a good sign. What is worst case scenario if this process of "writing zero's to disk" is stopped? I followed steps exactly as detailed. It's not that complicated? Look forward to the answer, whatever it is!
DCollisonOK-I had a feeling....But....my other query was can I stop the process now? It's writing zero's to the disk (HD). It still says 56 hours to go....doesn't really look like it's moved since last nite.
So answer me this one last question and I'll be on my merry way. Can I stop the zero out process now? What will probably happen....Irrevocable damage? Hence I might as well kick the thing to the curb and figure out how much $ I need to save to go shopping for brand new! Or will it simply stop and the drive will be sitting there messed up like it was to begin with, possibly repairable....

I´m upgrading a distributed enviroment with 2 Administration/monitoring nodes and 2 as a Policy. I´m upgrading from 1.1.4 patch 6 to 1.2.0.899
I´ve upgraded first the secondary administration node and then the both Policy servers. Now they are already in 1.2 version, but when I´m going to upgrade the primary server (still in v1.1.4) seems as if there where still any server without upgrade.

The final step in the upgrade of ISE 1.2 is to upgrade the primary Administration node to Cisco ISE, Release 1.2.
If the upgrade is success on this node then this node will be added to the new deployment as a secondary Administration node. You can promote the secondary Administration node to be the primary node in the new deployment. If you want to retain the secondary Administrative node from old deployment as your primary node, you must obtain a license that includes the UDI of both the primary and secondary Administration nodes.
In case if you want to make your primary Admin node from old deployment as a Primary node in the new ISE 1.2 deployment then just promote the node.
As you are facing difficulty in upgrading Primary Admin node from ISE 1.1.4 version to ISE 1.2 version you try the following steps.
-The safest way is to re-image the ISE Primary node es-ise000 to ISE 1.2 version and join to the deployment. Once the node is joined successfully and replication is done , you can safely promote the original primary node es-ise000 as your Primary ISE node in new ISE 1.2 deployment.
-The other way is to perform reset-config operation on the older Primary node and once it is done perform the upgrade operation and then register it back to the deployment of ISE 1.2 and then promote as Primary node once replication is completed.

I did upgrades from 1.2.1.198 to 1.3. With one box (SNS-3495-K9) out of four I have a problem.
I've tried it many times, I even made it to a standalone and did an application reset-config ise to initialize the box prior updating, but it always fails at step 40.
- Data upgrade step 40/67, CertMgmtUpgradeService(1.3.0.616)... % Error: ISE Global data upgrade failed!
Rolling back the configuration database...
Starting application after rollback...
% Error: The node has been reverted back to its pre-upgrade state.
% Application install or upgrade cancelled.

During upgrade, the configuration database schema and data upgrade failures are rolled back automatically. Your appliance would return to the last known good state. If this is encountered, the following message appears on the console and in the logs:

% Application upgrade failed. Please check logs for more details or contact Cisco Technical Assistance Center for support.
In case of upgrade failures, before you try to upgrade again:
Analyze the logs. Check the application bundle for errors.
Identify and resolve the problem by submitting the application bundle that you generated to the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC). -
Upgrading to ISE 1.3 error ISE Global data upgrade failed!

Has anyone come across this issue? when upgrading, it seems to start all well but then this happens:

I've also upgraded it to the latest patch and tried again but to no avail. This is an appliance (3415) that came shipped with 1.2. It's not been configured other than the initial cli wizard. I've upgraded a fair few appliances but I haven't seen this issue come up before. Any thoughts?

RV220W - Upgrade failed when upgrading to 1.0.4.17 from 1.0.1.0
I am a router newbie. I have a RV220W running 1.0.1.0.
When trying to upgrade to 1.0.4.17 I receive an error: "Upgrade failed due to invalid/corrupted firmware".

I assume I have to do a factory reset then an upgrade in order to upgrade properly.
If I do a backup running 1.0.1.0, then upgrade to 1.0.4.17, then do a restore, would that put me back to 1.0.1.0? Acrobat X1, Purchased upgrade, failed as no valid product to upgrade from existed (my mistake but want my money back!). So purchased Acobat X1 std, install seemed OK, but does not work as I continue to get the upgrade screen saying no valid product to upgrade from? So now I have spent lots $$ and nothing working. Why is this so complicated? what do I need to do?

Thanks for this; my issue is that I have now supposedly purchased a retail version of Acrobat X1 (i.e just spent more $$, after the upgrade attempt to Acrobat X1 failed), and while this feigns an OK install, it fails in someway to override the "Upgrade Acrobat X1 version". E.G. once I load up to read an acrobat file the "upgrade version" executes/intercepts and ask for serial numbers and check for a previous qualifying version which I do not have, (BUT what I do have is the current retail version of acrobat X1 which is not recognised)
Do I need to uninstall and start over again? (I am reluctant to do this as I am sure serial number issues will arise, as I assume downloaded file will be cleaned up etc, and I am not spending more money trying again!)

Hi. I'm trying to upgrade my 3g iPad 1 software from 3.2.2 to 5.0.1. iTunes tells me that I need to upgrade. It then backs up my iPad OK. But then it won't 'restore' and the upgrade fails.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please.

Upgrade trac from 0.12.3-1 to 1.0-3 failed
I want to upgrade trac to 1.0, but If I just pacman -Syu, that will cause web can not access original data.
My current workaround is keep trac in IgnorePkg of /etc/pacman.conf.

I could see the below error message in dev_W21

SCSM 2010 to 2012 Management server upgrade failed
I upgrading my scsm 2010 to 2012 both Management and DW server.
So i have set up the secondary lab environment and do this.
The DW server has been upgraded successfully to 2012.
When i try to upgrade SCSM Management server, at the finalizing stage, i get this error as _RegisterExtensionsDeferred

We ran into this as well. One of two options:
1.) Just run a repair on the SQL Server installation
2.) Repair the WMI settings on the SQL Server as descibed here:
