Issue management - Email transmission to message processor
Hi all,
I am now working in issue management( solman - sp15 ). Here i am trying to create a automatice email transmission to the message process when the issue assigned to him, But its not triggering a mail.i have worked in servicee desk management to sens a automatic mail transmission.
With that knowledge i have worked in this one also..
Here i used the action TASK_ACTION_PROFILE..,,but i feel the problem here is i am not able to define the condition according to the user status.. Am i missiong out anything
Anyone have idea on this???

Issue Management Email Notifications
Has anyone had experience in creating email notifications for Issue Management? Specifically I am trying to send an email to the assigned party once the issue has been assigned to them.
I set up a notification to a fixed mailbox by modifying the SLFI action profile as a test. The message is generated but the email is not sent.
Have you had any experience setting up notifications from Issue Management?
It seems that this is not supported at this time. -
Issue management Ticket and Message Processor
Hi all,
I am facing a certain challenge with ticket creation from solar01, I have ticket creation configured to choose a default message processor (which is correct), but when i reopen the ticket for any reason the message processor is not assigned anymore.
I have tried the same using crmd_order and found that this issue doesnt reoccur there.

the interesting thing from one f the source, As of ST 400 SP19, you should activate the BADI BADI AI_SDK_CRM_DNO_MON , for make the field populate
CRM_DNO_MONITOR:
Columns "Reported by", "Processor" are only filled, if BADI AI_SDK_CRM_DNO_MON is active
plese activate the badi either from IMG or manually.

In my email all the messages from one person bunch together and I would like to separate them. I have done this before on my iPhone but just recently got an iPad and its doing it on this, so does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue?
Settings >> Mail, Contacts. Calendars >> Organise by Thread. Switch to OFF to see every individual email in the Inbox.

We have been having some issues with Email Notifications not going out and getting hung up in SOST. Can anyone please tell me whether we can use SAP Solution Manager to monitor outbound email?
What version of Solman are you using ? Check in t-code Rz20 >ccms monitor template of satelliate system , there would be option to monitor your outbound mails .You can sutomise your monitorig metrics in solman 7.1 else in 7.01 you use auto reaction methods to monitor .

My phone does not recieve emails in the message inbox
i have a BB pearl 9105 and I can not recieve emails in my message inbox. My previous model this was set up automatically. I have tried disabling my firewall and enabling all options I can find on the device can any one help?

Well, are you receiving them at all? To some other folder? Or not at all? I hate to guess...but...if your device OS has the option, you can dictate what shows in Messages and what has separate icons:
Homescreen > Messages > > Options > (Main Message List Settings) or (Inbox Settings) or (Inbox Management) > uncheck/check what you want to suppress/show in Messages

Issue Management clarification
Hi All,
I have got the following doubts related to issue management.
1. how is the issue is sent to the processor automatically. where is the configuration done for this .
2. can we be able to configure automatic email notification to the processor.
i tried to define a email notification but it was not successful. only the issue is trggered and the smartform is not getting triggered.
kindly advice on where can we find this configuration.

when i go through the help, i could understand that it activates the automatic notification when technical attributes are changed.
i am not sure about what technical attributes they are referring. is it the status change or priority or something else.
I have copied the slfi action profile and made a Z copy of it. intially when the issue is created , the automatic notification works fine.
but i want this notification for my custom defined statuses.
when i look in to the action profile there is only one action item where it logs the change made.
i wanted to know where can i control this automatic notification for a set of statuses.
kindly advice on how can i tackle this problem.

Witch Action Profile and SmartForm are used?goto SPPFCADM

choose action defintion and here choose ur action which is sending mail ..e.g email to message creator.
Here goto to processing type and you get the name of the standard smartform
Goto smartforms transaction and copy it to z* and make modification as per req...
similarly you can enhance the clas etc....
thus create a new zaction for mailing by copying from std and call this smartform and class

New SMARTFORM's do not work when sending to Service Desk message processor.
We have been using Solution Manager Service Desk and the standard SMARTFORMS to mail details of the service ticket to the person requesting support and the message processor.
We are using the CRM_SLFN_ORDER_SERVICE_01 and CRM_SLFN_ORDER_SERVICE_02 SMARTFORMS.
We wanted to make some changes to these SMARTFORMS and therefore have copied these using the Z name space.
We then reconfigire the Action Definition and select the new 'Z' SMARTFORMS that we have created. However, when we create a support ticket the automatic mail generation no longer works.
When we revert back to the standard original smartforms the automatic e-mail generation starts to work again.
Is there something we have not done with the new 'Z' SMARTFORMS that we need to do, so that the mail generation starts to work.

Delegation of BP/Message processor for service desk message?
Dear All,
How do you i perform the delegation of service desk messages in solution manager ?
Message processor will assign the messages to some other person before he/she goes on leave but what will happen to the newly assigned messages? (Processor is auto determined)
Is there any process thorough which message processor will assign substiute for a particular period ?
(like we normally do in R3 for processing workitems)
I tried to search the forum with the substitute or delegation word but was unable find the relevant thread. So posting a new thread.

Service desk and incident management are the same
Yes it is an old functionality and even was working earlier than workcenter
if ur workcenter is not workign no issues just goto BP for the person and then click tab relationships
now choose is replaced by and then bp for the new person who is replacing.
and similarly check or maintain REPLACES old person BP in the relationship tab of bp of the new person.
This is the idea and crux of ur solution which uses BP Relationship functionality

Everything is working fine. We have set the rule as per SAP Component assignment.
Now every thing is working fine aprt from Message Processor assignment. Even it is picking up
the correct support team but not the Message Processor included in that team.

Assign Business Partner to iBase Components.
IMG Path: SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide -> SAP Solution Manager -> Configuration -> Basic Settings -> Standard Configuration of Basic Settings -> Solution Manager -> iBase -> Assign Business Partners to iBase Components.
To be able to assign automatically some type of partner to the message transaction, we have to assign those partners directly to the iBase Component.
So have you been able to do this step successfully?

Hi all,
I am facing a problem in issue management in transaction solman_issue_mgmt transaction when i try to open a existing message i am getting a dump. the same dump occurs when i try to create a new issue using that transaction.
pls find the details of the dump .
I have applied not 1397754 also but still the problem persist.

i have checked the service, the specified service is active and tested also. the main screen apprears, the problem is with the next screen.
there is one more service dswp_im_issue_mgmt , the problem is coming with that service.
In our system, two service are active with the same name(dswp_im_issue_mgmt ) in that one is active and other is not active.
I tried to delete one but i got a message that the service is no more valid. is it because of this am getting the error
kindly clarify.
I tried to run the SIAC_LIST_UNPUBLISHED but it was not there in the system.

Separate Email and SMS messages not found
Hi Guyz,
I'm just wondering, I can't find any options under messages separating email and SMS messages on my 8100. Would this be a platform issue? My current platform is v4.2.0. Is there a way to download and upgrade a new platform? Or can i just download a theme that has that option...

Multiple OS issues with Email set up; "People" ; Synching phone not working as advertised

Purchased yesterday (2/10/13)
So far I have spent 14 hours attempting to resolve what feel like endless errors and bugs. If I can;t get these resolved in the next 48 hours the phone goes back. I am so disappointed I waited especially for this phone - heard great stuff. My experience is it sucks. Worst phone ever.
1) POP3 email accounts are non functional. I have attempted to set up and delete and re-set up now multiple times. Each time presents a fresh new nightmare.
Issue 1 - Email account receives email but will not send. Error message goes something like <" Problem sending message. Message failed to send. Problem with Files or Data on your device." >
Issue 2 - Tapping email + accounts sends me back to start screen cannot even set up account
Issue 3 - I get to add email account I enter my information but no account is created
Issue 4 - I set up an account and I get an error message stating my information cannot be found.
Issue 5 - trying to open email from start screen just resets to start screen over and over and over NEVER opens the account.
These are deal breaker issues. I have multiple email accounts on different platforms. If I cannot access my various emails AND send from those accounts this is NOT the phone for me.
2) PEOPLE does not function. ALSO multiple various issues and never the same one twice.
Issue 1 - I tap on a contact and get sent to the start screen over and over and over and over again.
Issue 2 I tap on a contact and the phone freezes and wont respond unless I pull the battery
Issue 3 I open a contact and make an edit, save the contact but the change is never reflected in the list
Issue 4 I try and search for a contact and the search freezes - only option is to return to start screen
3) Scrolling thru any APP randomly takes me back to start screen.
I dread attempting to synch Outlook calendar and contacts on my PC to hotmail - especially if I can't even set up email. And it seems like even holding it will jettison me out of anything I'm doing and back to start screen.
If I can't get these issues resolved. look like I'll be going back to my 3 year old Blackberry Bold which performed flawlessly. It may not be the most impressive phone out there but it did what I needed it to do with out any issues.Interesting Twitter conversation VZWSupport on Twitter. It was suggested to try a HARD reset - and if that doesn't work take the phone back.
Since I don;t have anything set up yet that's my solution.
I see a BlackBerry Z10 in my future
