Issue when accessing standard LM transactions via ITS

Hi,
We are implementing WM using ITS Mobile.
We have developed certain custom screens and also used standard transactions such as LM02 and LM04.We have created a internet service for transaction LM01 and published all our custom and standard screens within the service.
When testing the transactions in R/3 using LM01 transaction..there were no issue...
But when testing the same in ITS....once we enter into a standard transaction like LM02(By clicking the corresponding menu entry) and click on Back button...it must bring me back to my menu( transaction LM01)...instead...my ITS session gets logged off...displaying message...'You have been logged off from SAP NetWeaver Application Server'.
We are facing the same issue when we try to access standard LM transactions via ITS...
I tried to analyze by debugging from ITS....but the flow of R/3 and ITS remains the same...
These are my service parameters..

I am also trying to implement WM using ISTMobile, but i have a little problem... when i am in my local network the service works and calls the page in the browser, but when i am in other network it gives me "Could not connect to remote server" (off course).
I undertand that i can´t access my server through other networks... but can anyone tell me if i it is possible to access SAP ITSMobile transactions through the internet?? Is the solution create a VPN network to my local network or something like that?

Eliminating logon when calling R/3 transaction via BSP

Is it possible to eliminate logon when calling SAP R/3 tcode via BSP. I run
http://<FQDN>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?client=%3c100%3e&transaction=SE80
but have to login each time. I could embed my username/pwd on the url string, but is there another method?
I also thought about using the URL iView parameters (Mapped User, Mapped Password) within Property Editor, but content admins will be able to see username and password when opening the iview. Any suggestions?

IPhone 5 audio issues when paired with surround sound via Bluetooth.

iPhone 5 has developed audio issues since ios7 updates when its connected to surround sound system via Bluetooth. Audio jumps and skips in erratic and unpredictable manner on music app and worse on third party apps such as YouTube . Have restored phone from factory settings etc. Have also checked surround sound for fault with Bluetooth; iPhone 4 ios7 works fine, android works fine but newest iPod touch with ios7 appears to have developed same issue as iPhone 5 since ios7 updates. Advise people to check for this issue on their Bluetooth devices and any advice would be appreciated on this issue :)

It sounds like you are gettings some very unexpected behaviour from the iPhone to your bluetooth surround sound system. I would try the troubleshooting recommended in this article:

Issue with Accessing Home Media DVR via web

I recently had Fios installed (TV, Internet, Phone). Everything seems to be working fine so far. When I try to access my Home Media DVR via the web portal, I get time out messages, and errors saying that the DVR isn't responding. I get similiar errors when I try to access the DVR via the web browser on my phone as well.
Also, when Verizon Central (or whatever the web portal is called) tries to gather the information from my set top boxes, it tells me that it can't get the information from my Home DVR box.
Any issues/fixes on this?? Please help.

For this it seams like the boxes are able to be seen by verizon.com/fiostvcentral if that's the case you can try powercycling the router, and the cables boxes, and then trying it again. If that doesn't work you will have to call the vz tech support. 888-553-1555.

Issues when accepting meeting invite received via exchange

Hi,
My iphone (3G 3.0) is syncing with push via an exchange server. What I am finding out is that when I accept, tentatively accept, or decline a meeting invite, I also am doing the same "On Behlaf of" whoever is on either side of me in the meeting invite. I do not have any type of access to these people's email, calendars etc.
Anyone else having this issue? Anyway to resolve it?

We're seeing the same thing. Using iphone 3gs with exchange activesync 2003 and outlook 2003 client.
Although after a lot of testing we've narrowed it down a little. It seems to accept on behalf of the the person that appears first alphabetically in the list of recipients, and stops there.
For instance, my name starts with a 'J' (Jason). So if there are others that were invited whose name starts with a 'C' (Carol), and then a 'G' (Greg)....and I accept the meeting invitation, it will only "accept on behalf of" Carol but not Greg. So the meeting organizer will see a message that appears to be from Carol, but it actually states that Jason accepted on behalf of carol. The organizer will also receive the proper response that you (Jason in this case) accepted.
Other testing showed that if YOUR name was the lowest alphabetically in the recipients list (Jason, Sam, and Tom), then it will accept for you properly, but not accept those with names starting with a higher letter in the alphabet than your name.
So it appears to choose the first name in the recipients list in alphabetical order.
We also noticed that if the meeting organizer sends the request *from his/her iphone* (with the same recipients - Carol, Greg, and Jason), and Jason accepts it on his iphone....it will not accept on behalf of Carol.
So far we don't have a solution....but that's what we've figured out at this point.
I hope it makes sense.

Nested IPE (In Place Element) usage when accessing Cluster/Array data via DVR

I am sharing data across several VIs and loops via a DVR, and accessing the data via a DVR IPE. The data is a cluster of arrays. The diagram below (VI attached) illustrates the structures invloved, but not the structure of the application.
(The diagram above does not include initialization of the arrays, as it is intended only to illustrate the Cluster1 data type. Array lengths could be 100.)
The DVR (DVR1) is passed to multiple VIs of the application at startup.
Each VI executes loops that either read or write particular elements of each array (fArray1 or fArray2).
I believe the DVR IPE (B1-DVR) provides blocking so that only one task can modify the data (Cluster1) at any time.
Case 1 illustrates how I currently WRITE to array elements. The outer IPE (block B1) is rolled into a VI (not shown) that takes DVR1, Index, and Value as inputs.
Cases 2 - 4 illustrate 3 additional methods that remove one or both of the inner IPEs (B2-Cluster and B3-Array).
Case 2: IPE B3 (Array Index/Replace Elements) is replaced with a non-IPE 'Replace Array Subset'.'
Case 3: IPE B2 (Unbundle / Bundle Elemnts)' is replaced with a non-IPE cluster 'Unbundle'/'Bundle'.
Case 4: removes both B2 and B3.
I implemented case 1 a long time ago. When I had to do the same thing again recently, I did case 4. When I stumbled across my earlier implementation, I was a bit suprised
Which of the 4 cases should take the least time (or resources) to execute? I think case 4 has as few array allocations as any of the other 3.
The attached image did not capture the Buffer Allocation marks, so I marked the ones that differed with a red "B".
I am only interested in differences in how the arrays are handled, so I see no signioficant differences.
Is this one of those cases where LV doesn't need my help?
Incidently, I recently wrote a small app with shared data and decided to try FGVs to share array data. For small arrays, 10^7 iterations, and an FGV based array-element read followed by a element write, the FGV was faster. 1.2us per read/write for FGV vs 3us per r/w for an DVR/IPE based read/write (like above).

Option 1 is a definite no and as far as I know it has been NI's explicit intention to steer clear from it. I believe there's an idea in the IE which asks for this.
I agree that option 2 makes sense, but I don't think it should be something the user specifies. Either LV can detect it automatically or it can't, but I doubt NI would let you have an option which creates the possibility for this kind of bug.
I'm not sure, but the mark as modifier option on the IPES might be the option you're looking for. I know that it exists and I know very roughly what it does, but the documentation for it is very limited and I never actually played around with it, as usually I don't need these kinds of optimizations.
You may well be right that a new option on the IPES is desirable and you should probably add it to the idea exchange.
As for NIWeek, I'm not going this year, so I have no idea what kinds of sessions are around, but it's a great place to find people who know what they're talking about and ask them about it directly. Certain people in LV R&D would probably be ideal for this and if you ask relevant people, you might even get their names. I'm sure buying them a beer would also help to loosen their tounges. If you ask me, this type of interaction is the main value of the conference, not the sessions themselves.

Performance issue when accessing a CRL file

In an application we receive sign and verify files(ordinary information files) as seperate processes. When signing files we do a check on the CRL of the signing certificate. Below are the steps in which the check is done:
1- Receive a file. Get its signing certificate from a repository.
2-save/cache the CRL file in a directory(we do check if the file already exists when creating). We have configured a time out period with which the CRL will be updated in case of modifications.

When running signing processes with more than 150 files(the file size can go upto 2MB) over a period of time, the CRL is sometimes not found and InvalidCRLException is thrown. I think its some problem with accessing the CRL file concurrently since it could also be updated at some point.
Im trying to figure out if a file lock or some other way would help to reslove this. I need help/suggestions on this.

I think its some problem with accessing the CRL file concurrentlyUndoubtedly. You should write the new data to a new file and do a delete/rename operation. All clients should cope with not finding the CRL file by retrying a couple of times in case they tried between the delete and the rename.
This is a file handling question, or concurrency question, not really a security question.

JDBC issue when accessing an Entity Bean

I am having problems with an Entity bean, I have originaly deployed and had it
running on cloudscape. I decided I need to deploy it to Oracle 8.1.6, on startup
of WLCS the bean was deployed to the connection pool correctly using Weblogic
JDriver.
The bit I cannot understand is when I try and do a FindByPrimaryKey on the Entity
Bean the following exception is thrown by oracle, which leads me to believe this
must be an Oracle/Jdbc problem.
Here you can see that the bean has been deployed on a valid connection pool.

Accounting issue when billing happens on Transaction Currency.

Need your suggestion on the issue i am facing with respect to accounting in projects.
My client does funding, revenue budgets on the project functional currency say its USD. But bill on a different currency say its EUR. When they have a contract for 1000 EUR with customer, they go and enter the funding , revenue budget in USD converted on that day say at 1.5 to 1500 USD
So i have 1500 USD entered as approved revenue budget and there is also a revenue hard limit set, but no invoice hard limit set.
When revenue is recognized then following happens
Dr WIP - Unbilled Receivable 1500 USD
Cr PA Net Sales Revenue 1500 USD
When at the end of project invoice is raised. we create a event for 1000 EUR and run invoice generation process..
an invoice of 1000 EUR is created in AR. But at that time assume the rate is 1.4 so the following accounting happens
Dr Receivable Account 1400 USD
Cr WIP - Unbilled Receivable 1400 USD
So there the balance WIP - Unbilled receivable account is not zero. How you suggest to handle such scenarios..
since the revenue figure is decided with the particular user rate at the start of the project, do we apply user rate on the AR invoice generated and force the user to change the rate after invoice is created in AR ?
If so what is the setup to make sure the invoice created in AR has the rate type as User.
Also what the best way for such scenarios ?

You might force the exchange rate for each invoice, when you release the draft invoice in Projects, before interfacing it to AR.
There will be a variance also when you apply customer payment to the project invoice. On the cash application date the rate might have another value as well. The system will create realized exchange rate gain or loss, that you might want to consider as project revenue or as finance income or expenses.
Oracle design offer another solution. You will enter funding in EUR (the customer currency) and before generating revenue you should run the process - PRC: Revaluate Project Funding. The process will enter a funding line of class - Relvaluation, which might be positive or negative amount in USD (functional currency).
The revaluation process includes exchange rate variances so the total funding in USD at the end of the project, will be equal total amount received from customer.
Taking this method, the revenue amount will equal, at the project completion, to the total funding, the total cash received.
System is generating revenue FX events for the value of the realized exchange rate gains and losses. Those events credit revenue but debit special accounts - FX gains and FX loss accounts. Those FX events when included in GDR do not debit the UBR & UER balance. By project end the UBR & UER balance in USD will be zero.

Outlook Sync issue when connecting to server/Outlook via Windows Remote Desktop

I hope someone can help...I connect to my email etc (Outlook that lives on server) via Windows Remote Desktop. The server keeps my email updated automatically between my BB8330 and Outlook. However it does not keep Calendar, Contacts etc updated. I want to be able to "SYNC" in this scenario without loading any software on the server as the BOSS won't allow that. I really want to keep it simple so I actually do it regularly.
PS I need to say that I think I am looking for a Work Around

not possible to do sync through remote desktop, unless you install DTM on the server and plug the BBinto server and remote to server and tell it to sync... which wou.ld defeat the purpose.
if you are the only BB user and you have exchange you can install BES pro for free(only free for 1 user) which will send everything wirelessly

Activate Single Sign On (SSO) with the following profile parameters: (On (SSO) with following profile parameters necessary)
- login/accept_sso2_ticket=1
- login/create_sso2_ticket=1 or 2
- icm/server_port_...=PROT=HTTPS ...
To change these profile parameters, you need to reboot the server.

Performance issues while accessing the Confirm/Goods Services' transaction

We are using SRM 4.0 , through Enterprise Portal 7.0.
Many of our users are crippled by Performance issues when accessing the Confirm/Goods Services tab( Transaction bbpcf02).
The system simply clocks and would never show the screen.
This problem occurs for some users all the time, and some users for some time.
It's not related to the User's machine as others are able to access it fast using the same machine.
It is also not dependent on the data size (i.e.no . of confirmations created by the user).
We would like to know why only some users are suffering more pronouncedly, and why is this transaction generally slower than all others.
Any directions for finding the Probable cause will be highly rewarded.

Accessing SAP transactions through ITS

Hi,
ITS has been activated in our system.
Can you please let me know how to access standard SAP transactions (MM03, VD03) in the browser (ITS enabled in SAP).
Is it like http://host:port/sap...
Also can you please suggest the list of steps to follow to make sure ITS is enabled corrrectly in SAP.
Common problems if ITS in not enabled correctly... and how to fix the problem.

Hi,
SAP transaction, SE93, under the option 'SAPGUI for Html' is the service that would need to be activated prior to doing the test page.
Once the service has been activated, you can test the service in your SAPGUI screen, which will then open up the url to view all SAP transaction.

Errors when accessing Encrypted Local Storage

Hi there,
I develop an AIR application and some of the users of the application are running into an issue when accessing Encryped Local Storage. Sometimes, when the application tries to put or retrieve an item from Encrypted Local Storage, these errors are reported:
Error: general internal error
EncryptedLocalStore database access error
I've searched around a little and it appears that these errors occur for a variety of reasons. Sounds like corruption to the user's keychain can result in this error being thrown (repairing the keychain was mentioned as a possible solution in one blog post). This same error happens to some Linux users (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/492/cpsid_49267.html) when switching between Gnome and KDE desktops too. http://blogs.adobe.com/koestler/2009/07/unreadable_encrypted_local_sto.html seems to suggest that changing of usernames on the machine can have an impact on how the ELS is accessed.
In terms of a solution to this issue, I've seen multiple posts online asking the user to delete the ELS directory on their computer. While this 'solution' works for some users of the application I develop, it doesn't work for other users. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/239605 seems to suggest that a full factory reset of a user's OS gets everything back to square one and the ELS is now usable again - that's not really something that I can suggest to a user of an application. It seems a bit drastic and most users will (understandably) baulk at the idea of a full factory reset.
So, I'm in a position with AIR development where I have to provide a fallback to ELS. Thankfully, I don't use ELS in the application too much, but I imagine anyone that has to make meaningful use of it would be pretty handicapped by the issues above. I guess I have a few questions:
1. Has anyone been able to reproduce the errors listed above? Are you able to get your system into a state where 'Error: general internal error' appears consistently when you try to access ELS? I've tried the suggestions listed in the articles I outlined above, but have so far failed in reproducing these errors.
2. If you have managed to get your machine into this state, what is the most advisable remedial action? As I mentioned above, deleting the ELS directory to start anew seems to work for some users but not for others.
3. Is there anything that someone has tried where they've found a programmatic solution to avoid this issue altogether?
4. Can someone in AIR engineering comment on concrete efforts to avoid these sort of scenarios in future versions of the runtime? Is there any debug information that I can provide from users of this application that could help diagnose this issue further and possibly feed back to the AIR development team?
FWIW, my application descriptor file is pointing at the 1.5.3 version of the runtime. We've seen this happen to users that are running this application with both the 1.5.3 version of AIR and the 2.0.3 version of AIR. We've seen this happen on both Mac and Windows. I've seen this happen with initial installs of the application and with upgrades to new versions too.

Thanks for reporting the issue. As you pointed out (via the blogs and weblinks), we are aware of this issue. And the following blog post talks about the problem in detail:

As mentioned there, this issues arises because of corruption of keyring database, which in turn could happen becuase of user migration, switching desktops, ELS data migration to a different machine etc In such a scenario, even native applications are not able to access the ELS store (gnome-keyring or kde-kwallet). So there is little that we could do here. We have never experienced a scenario where an AIR application resulted into the corruption of database.
Having said that, if you can provide us a constantly reproducible case (a list of steps which can always get us hit the issue), then we can definitely try to do the best possible in this regard.

App not working properly when access over vpn

hi,
Strange behavior of application when access through vpn. The application keeps on reloading endlessly. And other application renders completely but when the tab is clicked it will reload the whole page displaying the same tab. Is ADF has an issue when access over proxy?
Both application is build using ADF 11g and is implemented through regions.

I think there something to do with PPR or calling the region or am I missing something? The page that keeps reloading has taskflow with activation is immediate but the refresh is set to IfNeeded. Then the page with tabs, the content of the tab are taskflows as well.
