Issue with file name in receiver Communication channel

Hi Experts,
I am sending the files from SAP Application server to third party Application server.
In my source folder i have different types of files with different names.
but i need to pickup the files which is coming as of type sss_3300_was.txt and sss_3400_was.txt.
what would be the logic for this.what my understanding is if i put sss_* it will works.
If suppose the file is Exist in the folder as sss_3300_was.txt , so it will picked up and places in target folder.
and next time if the file type is sss_3400_was.txt then that will pick up and places in the target folder.
my question is, in the receiver comm channel what would be the file name scheme. i have tried with * and / but system has not been accepted as * can not be given.
Kindly suggest what should i put in Receiver CommChanne file name sheme.
Appreciate your inputs
Thanks,
Bhaskar

Hi Satish,
Thanks for your valuable inputs.
Actually i need to change the subjet when i am asking other question...
first thing is suppose i have 10 files like sss_3100_was, sss_3300_was, sss_3400_was........sss_3900_was  in the sender application folder and should be moved to receiver [target] folder with the same name.
as you said mentioned above below is my undertsanding, please correct me if i am wrong.
In sender cc
1.  i will give file name as sss_*
2. i will flag ASMA and also check file name.
In receiver cc
1. I will give file name as sss_*
2. i will flag ASMA and also check the file name
The above is my understanding with respect to your inputs,  is it correct?
in receiver cc i have tried file name scheme as sss_*  but when i see the receiver CC log its telling that * is not allowed.
may be i have not flaged ASMA at that time, but now i will flag ASMA in receiver CC dose it works? just need to confirm from you.
Regarding seconf issue.
when file is picking up from the source folder from SAP Application server as i can see file is picking up well and posting in third party folder and even in the sender cc and receiver cc logs i could see all shown in success. But when i see in the SXMB_MONI in the inbound interface the data are coming in the special charater format like @$??? and so on.But when i checked in SAP Appl server the same file contains the three lines of data like material number purchase order number and so on and it is Text file.
below mentioned are done configs for sender CC by me.
MP: file
TP: NFS [as  it is SAP appl server]
filepath:/
file name: sss_*
file type :text
               add time stamp
               ..... and so on
Kindly advise me if any changes are required and also provide me inputs in case any correction.
Thanks,
Bhaskar Reddy

  • Issue with content conversion in receuver communication channel

    Hi,
I am trying to configure receiver communication channel with file adapter and content conversion.
File structure is simple, as shown below:
    MT_EmployeeDetails
         Employee_rec
              Employee_rec_struct
                   EmpNo
                   EmpName
                   Address
It should have generated file in the following format:
    1101     xxxx     xxxxx
    1102     xxxx     xxxxx
    1103     xxxx     xxxxx
But it is generating flat file as shown below:
    1101     1102     1103     1104
Basically it is populating only first field in the target field. But I could see that the xml file is properly getting
generated in sxmb_moni.Also, when i tried to generate xml file without FCC, it is creating file properly.
following are the parameters I am using:
    Employee_rec_struct.fielSeparator     '0x09'
    Employee_rec_struct.endSeparator     'nl'
pls let me know whetehr i need to add any other parameters in FCC.

    Hi,
Can u please provide with the exact structure of target... i know u have mentioned it already...
But the hierarchy and occurence is nt clear..
    Like
    Mt
    ---Employee(1)
    Records(0..unbounded)
    Name(1)
    Age(1)
So that others here, can easily get vt exactly u want and give the solution....
    If ur structure is like..
    MT_EmployeeDetails
    ---Employee_rec
    Employee_rec_struct(0..unbounded)
    EmpNo
    EmpName
    Address
    Then,
    Use,
    Employee_rec_struct.fieldSeparator '\t'
end separator is optional... by default its new line characcter.. no need of giving....
U should be giving the recordStructure as  Employee_rec_struct,*
If still nt solved do post

  • Dynamic File name in FTP Communication Channel

    Hi All,
We have requirement where ,we create a filenames dynamically ( runtime). These filenames whihc do change for every execution needs to be added in FTP communication channel.
    1. How can we add the this generated file name in FTP CC Communication Channel.
    2. Does this file needs to part of target structure during graphical mapping ?
    3. Can we also dynamically append the Directory name to file names aswell ?
    Please provide your valuable sugestions.
    Thanks for your support.

    1. How can we add the this generated file name in FTP CC Communication Channel.
    3. Can we also dynamically append the Directory name to file names aswell ?
    to get the FileName:
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    To get the Directory:
    DynamicConfigurationKey key1 = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","Directory");
    Then append:
    key+key1
And then in the CC select the Directory checkbox under the ASMA properties...
    2. Does this file needs to part of target structure during graphical mapping ?
The file which is sent using the CC will have the FileName as configured in the UDF of the graphical mapping....and if i am not wrong then the target structure resembles the file (if there is no FCC done)....

    Abhishek.

  • File Overwriting in File Receiver Communication Channel

    Hi,
I have an IDoc to File scenario.
My file receiver communication channel has the following parameters :
    - File name scheme = %timestamp%_AOBSD4RL.MES
(I'm using variable substition and the variable "timestamp" is initialized at mapping time with the current time in format yyyyMMddHHmmss).
    - File Construction Mode = Create
    - Option "Overwrite Existing File" not activated
When two inbound messages result in the same target file name, the second one overwrites the first one although the "Overwirte Existing File" setting is not active in the receiver channel.  Is this a bug in XI ? (I'm on 7.00 SP11)
And is it possible to say to the receiver channel to process only 1 message per second so there will no more target file with same name ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Laurence

    Hi Laurence,
There is no such facility with Receiver File Adapter to process single message in one step.
I want to suggest you a may possible way to overcome( it's just an idea), though I never worked with them I think it will work.
As you the file name is assigned to message with timestamp at receiver communication channel step you can schedule the outbound queue in such a way that it will transfer the message in delay.
Try to investigate further more, But i m not sure that Queue Scheduling is supported by SP11 or not.

  • Send port with same file name as receive

I have a filename "abc.docx". I need to create a send port where I should set the file name in a such a way that I should have the same file name as received.
I have set the filename in the send port as "%SourceFileName%" but it does not seem to be working.
How to set the send port to have the same file name as received by the receive port? Send location should hold the same file name

could you please also mention what is happening when you set
%SourceFileName% .  what kind of output filename are you getting then when used %SourceFileName%
?  incase if you are not getting any file at all in the output, then its not the issue with %SourceFileName%

I have to access Orders is the name of file , available in FTP Server, i have to send same file to Receiver side with same name Orders
Is it possible with same name dynamically??
    Regards,

    hi,
You have to go for variable substitution option available in receiver file adapter, but for that you have to get the file name in receiver payload.

  • Intermittent problems with a RFC receiver communication channel.

    Hello.
I want to know how to get the total channel history for a RFC receiver communication channel (in RWB only last 5 calls are available).
We use this communication channel in a java mapping to run a RFC of the abap engine of XI. Sometimes the rfc doesn't work and mapping throws a mapping transformation exception. Then, without a modification, we reprocess the message in SXMB_MONI and it is processed without errors. We think that it could be caused by a huge message volume.
How can I get the maximum number of rfc calls that the rfc communication channel can admit simultaneously. Which parameters have influence in these calls?
    Thank you very much.
    Alberto.

    1. Increase the maximum connections
    from help.sap.com
    Additional Parameters
    Parameter ~~~~ Entry
Maximum Connections ~~ Maximum possible number of initial connections required between adapter and sender system. This value is limited internally to a maximum of 50.

  • How to give a dynamic File Name for Receiver File/FTP Adapter.

    Hi Experts,
I have one scenario in which we are creating a flat file of IDOC which is coming from R/3 & sending it to FTP location. For this we have configured Receiver FTP adapter with File Name Scheme as "NT.out"  & in File Consturction mode i have given as "Add Time Stamp".
therfore while creating a file it is creating as NTyyyyMMdd-HHmmss-SSS.out
where as my requirement is only to to add Time & not the Date. (NThhmmss.out)
        How to do this ?
for your info we are using ABAP Mapping.

    Hi Umesh,
Add one more field to your target structure for your file name and populate that field as per your requirement like NTyyyyMMdd.out. In receiver communication channel use Variable subtiution option and give the refrence of Payload and file construction mode set as create.
And refer the below weblogs for Variable Subtiutuion File Name Scheme

  • Error in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel, PI 7.4 dual stack

    Dear Experts,
I am facing the below certificate error in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel while using the third party (bank) private key. Third party bank server is HTTPS enabled, moreover they have generated the public and private keys on their server, and they shared the corresponding private keys in .p12 format to us. Our scenario in SAP PI is synchronous ABAP Proxy to HTTP_AAE, when I see the message in SXMB_MONI after testing, we get he below certificate error, though we have provided the correct path from keystorage view and keystorage entry in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel
“com.sap.aii.adapter.http.api.HttpAdapterException: ERROR_SENDING_HTTP_REQUEST, sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target”
We have imported the private key provided by bank in Netweaver admin key storage, by following the below steps.
    NWA -> Certificates -> Key Storage -> TrustedCA->Import Entry->Entry Type->PKCS#12 Key Pair->select the .p12 file->import.
Please see the attached doc for related screenshots.
Please experts help me experts as this is on high priority from client, also suggest me if I am doing anything wrong here.

    Hi Farhaan,
do you have only one certificate or multiple certificate? HTTPS can have 2 or 3 certificates (Root, Intermediate [optional, if any 3rd party person is there in the middle then we can get this certificate] and system certificates).
The issue is with the certificate and it can be because All the certificate is not present or path is not correct.

  • RFC Look Up APIs for a IDOC Receiver Communication Channel

    Hi,
Can we use RFC Look Up APIs in UDF for a IDOC Receiver Communication Channel. (File to IDOC Scenario). Requirement is to send a notificaiton when IDOC got posted with IDOC number.
    Best Regards,

As the name suggests, RFC lookup uses RFC receiver channel only. In mapping of your File to Idoc scenario, you may perform this lookup.
Requirement is to send a notificaiton when IDOC got posted with IDOC number.
Configure ALEAudit for this requirement. How were you planning to use RFC lookup for such a requirement?
