Issue with Mail Adapter ?

Hi,
I am Navneeth, working on Sender mail adapter.
We are working on PI 7.1.1 version. We are unable to see the following parameters in the sender Mail adapter:-
(1) Default Interface Namespace (2) Default Interface Name.
Is it mandatory to maintain the above mentioned parameters?
Also, we are getting a Nullpointer exeception in RWB.
Kindly provide your suggestions.

These 2 parameters are no longer required in the new PI version. You already provide these in the sender agreement. There could be some other reason for nullPointer. I tested mail sender today with PI 7.11 and it is working as expected.

Issue with Apps adapter for Create_Cust_Account API

I need to invoke this package from apps adapter in BPEL(10.1.3.5).
Create Customer: HZ_CUST_ACCOUNT_V2PUB. create_cust_account. This is a Over loaded procedure. Look for the Procedure with these Parameters.

But I’m getting the following error,
An error occurred while running Jpublisher.missing method
· I’ve tried with Database adapter. But in the runtime I’m not able to pass oracle apps initialization parameter in spite of using transaction and idempotent property in partnerlink.
· Then I’ve tried to invoke fnd_global.apps_initialize first then call the package from database adapter, but it fails again, apparently its not able to execute both DBadapter in same database session although they are in same BPEL transaction.
When I’m passing the initialization parameters in adapter created wrapper procedure then its working fine and customer got created.
Please let me know where I’m going wrong or issue with apps adapter.

I'm able to execute the BPEL flows using DB adapter in same session and customer got created.
But I'm wondering why I cant invoke the API using Apps adapter though its standard one.
wsdl file is not getting generated as the adapter wizard not get completed.
Do u have any idea why its giving ' error occurred while running Jpublisher.missing method' error?should I conclude that apps adapter does not support overloaded procedure.

Issue with DB Adapter involving multiple tables

Am facing an issue with DB Adapter with multiple tables. Here are the details.
I have 4 tables. Header, Details,Products and Devices. The relationship is defined as follows:
Header has 1:M relationship with Details.
Details has 1:M relationship with Products.
Products has 1:M relationship with Devices.
I want to select the details from all the tables for a particular header_id and detail_id. Defined 2 parameters and query is created with parameters.

I expect the DB Adapter to retrieve the records for the parameters passed. i.e only those records from details table which matches with the parameter I passes in (t1.EDF_SERIAL_TYPE = #prod_type) . But I see that the DB Adapter retrieves all records from the details table for a particular unique_sequence_number(unique_sequence_number is primary key for headers table and foreign key for details table). Could you pls tell me how can I retrieve only selected records from the details table?

Yes. When I run this query in DB, I get one record . While defining DB Adapter, I have imported 4 tables and also defined the relationship between the tables. In my case, column unique sequence number is primary key of headers table and foreign key of details table.The above select query is generated by the DB Adapter for the parameters I have passed in.
My data is as follows:
Headers table:
file_name uniq_seq_num
file_1.xml 220
Details table
product_id unique seq num edf_prod_type
111 220 A
112 220 B
113 220
Now, I call DB Adapter with parameters 'file_1.xml' (file_name)and 'A'(prod_type). I expect the DB adapter to retrieve only one record with product_id 111 in the detailscollection. But I see that the adapter retrieves all records from the details table without considering the value of prod_type.

TS3276 I have issues with mail unexpectedly quitting, any suggestions?

Has anyone ever had issues with mail and/or Safari "unexpectedly quitting" repeatedly and the only thing that seems to temporarily fix it is to restart the computer?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
Step 2
Still in the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the process. The report name starts with the name of the crashed process, and ends with ".crash". In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Serious issues with Mail

Mail crashes the moment i click on it. Anyone got any ideas as to why this happens?

mine does the same, the moment i open open up mail the pinwheel won't stop spinning, and i tried the utility disk repair but still the pinwheel spins upon starting the program-- any luck to fix this serious issue with Mail? thank you.

Mail adapter issue with mail attachment

Hi all,
I have a scenario mail to file and i have a problem.
Is it possible, in a sender adapter mail to use the option keep attachment and mail package at the same time ?
So,is it possible to use the module payloadswapbean and XMLanonymizer in a sender adapter mail in order to suppress a namespace from the attachment in it ?
Is the option mail package useful if i am using payloadswapbean module ?
from what i see, It seems that the XMLanonymizer doesn't work for sender mail adapter with attachment. I've tested the configuration on a sender adapter file and works fine.
Anyone already tested it ?

I don't understand this one ! Isn't mandatory in sender adapter mail scenario if you want to read your mail attachment ?
Yes. If you configure the payloadswapbean correct, the XMLanonymizer works on the attachment.
It is not easy to set the payloadswapbean in a correct way. IPost your parameters here, when it does not work for you.

Error with mail adapter

Hi,
I have an idoc to email scenario.
The email is to be triggered, in case of an error in one of the idoc field values.
The email, is being triggered successfully as seen in sxi_monitor. But, the receiver mail adapter is failing(as seen in adapter monitoring).
The error as seen in adapter monitoring:
<b>error occured: [2006-10-03T12:34:02Z] unable to call the mailer; com.sap.aii.messaging.srt.BubbleException: Failed to call the endpoint [null "null"]; nested exception caused by: java.io.IOException: server not responding OK to MAIL FROM; 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address</b>
This is not an issue with the address specified, because, there are other interfaces which are using the same adapter to send mails successfully.
MDT(Messaging system) specifies error as GENERAL_ERROR.
Any hints?

File name issue in mail adapter attachement.

HI all,
i built a scenario proxy to mail in which the data will be sent as attachement to the mail id coming from proxy it self.
I added the transform bean and xi mail adapter bean correctly..
The scenario is working fine without errors...
however the issue is. i have given the file name in for module key :
Transform = Transform.ContentDisposition = attachement;filename="xyz.csv"
but while testing the attachement is coming as "untitled.txt"
i need the attachement to be named as "xyz.csv" only.
where went wrong ...please give ur inputs.

Then there is no need to use Transformation bean for this
In Mapping map the mail package Content_type field with
text/plain;name="xyz.csv"
and select mail package and keep attachments in receiver mail adapter
This will work

Issues with Mail Connection in iOS6

I have a weird issue that's been plaguing me since I upgraded to iOS 6. My company hosts its mail using an Apple Mail server running 10.5 (yes, outdated, we know and are migrating to Google). I used to have no problem connecting via IMAP to my mail account on my iPhone 4. I upgraded to iOS 6 and was receiving an error that mail could not connect to my work account. I deleted and re-added the account and it seemed to work until a few days later when the issue returned. I did a restore on my phone and again all seemed well. About two days later I upgraded to an iPhone 5. I migrated my data to it from my latest backup in iTunes, done the day prior (day after my restore). Everything was peachy until a week later when I began getting connection issues in Mail.app again. I deleted and re-added my account, this time it didn't work. I restored my phone, it worked...for another week. I began getting connection issues again. I've now found a reproducible pattern and horrible work-around and am wondering if anyone else is encountering this. Here are my steps:
Mail.app starts telling me it cannot connect to my account.
I delete the account and reboot the phone.
After reboot the account IS BACK. Seriously, it comes back after the first reboot 90% of the time.
I delete the account again and reboot my phone.
I verify the account is really deleted and re-add it, then it will work for about a week.
Ever so often when I reboot that first time the account appears to be deleted. If I re-add my account then it will not connect, I have to delete and reboot and if the account appears there again then I can delete it a second time and it will actually work when I re-add it after reboot. Sound confusing? It is. One time when I rebooted my phone ALL of my mail, contacts, calendar accounts deleted. That was awesome.
Am I all alone here? Do I have to totally restore the phone without restoring from backup? Since I've been using iOS since the first iPhone that latter answer is definitely not an easy one to comply with. So many things I'd have to re-download and configure.

Okay everyone! I struggled with this problem for a long time, and I was just about to send a complaint to Spotify when it worked for me! See, I did a little different than before; this is the list I was going to file:
"1. I open Spotify from the application menu.
2. I choose "Online" mode.
3. My phone asks me how I want to connect to the Internet.
4. I pick "Easy WiFi".
5. I choose my WiFi network from the list.
6. Application seems to be signing me in.
7. My phone asks me again how I want to connect to the Internet.
8. I repeat the procedure. Spotify can't connect with WiFi.
-I have tried to connect using other WiFi networks, didn't work.
-Before I updated last time I could connect without problem.
-I can connect using 3G.
-I can connect using WiFi in other applications than Spotify, for example Opera Mobile and the native browser.
-I have reinstalled the application without difference."
However, I did it a little different, which made it work: instead of choosing "Easy WiFi", I choose my network directly from the list: see attachment. I never thought of that I could do so and I can't remember I did that before the update either. I have now synced my tracks and the app seems to be a little buggy, I still hope for an update, though it now works at least. Sometimes it crashes.
Please, tell me about if this worked for you and if you have other, better solutions. This isn't good enough, I still seek a better way.

Content Field issue in Mail adapter receiver

My inerface CIDX->TO-->IDOC:
I have an Error handling logic (Busines error) which needs to be send in EMail....the to address has to be detemined in runtime, the mail content is in the following format

You should verify the PO is updated in the hosted solution and that the price is correct in SAP. If this isn't the correct price from our partner please contact them and verify what the correct price should be..
I am able to send the above content in mail for line item is 1, if there are more than 1 lineitem then it is breaking as mail content size is huge
If there are Multiple Line items present in the Incoming CIDX file then the number od line items should be disaplayed in the mail. all the lines POLine NO till end will repeate for each Line Item....i am getting the arrayindex out of memeory exception as the data is huge which i am mapping to the content field of the reciver mail adapter....
kindly suggest me the better method to handle this situation..my worry is if the number of line item is 10 then the mail content will be very huge and it will break during the runtime, as that field content cannot take so huge data.

Satellite P300-1AN - Touchpad issue with AC adapter

I've a Satellite P300-1AN notebook and since the beginning (two weeks)
I have a touchpad issue: it is not immediately responsive and the pointer trembles when touching the pad. Very often it freezes for just one or two seconds.
This is VERY annoying. A USB mouse works perfectly.
I tried reinstalling ALPS drivers, tried Synaptics ones, tried just Windows Vista drivers: no way.
Now I have found the reason: this issue is present only when the notebook is powered by AC adapter.
With battery the touchpad is perfect.
I contacted Toshiba Service and thay said that they won't change the AC adapter if I don't try before a complete system restore!
Isn't it simpler just try with a new adapter and only then, if the problem persists, try more drastic procedures?
Has anyone had this same issue?

The point is that your notebook should be always checked using the Toshiba factory configuration.
Why? Because the ASP wants to be sure that this issue is not related to a software problem (compatibility issue with 3rd party applications). The software issues are not covered by warranty.
Furthermore the ASP will always recover the notebook before checking any hardware parts for a malfunction. Therefore you should always backup your data from the HDD before you will send the notebook for checking.
I would recommend to reinstall the OS using the Toshiba recover disk and then check if the issue would appears.
If yes then you can contact the ASP again and could provide all details which are necessary for an technician.

How I solved issues with Mail.app and Spotlight

Even though my upgrade from Tiger 10.4.10 to Leopard was painless, the new OS X did have a few issues that had bothered me:
*Mail.app: * Every now and then, the app would behave like on its first startup, saying it needs to import my mail before I can work with it. What's more, at times I've had the phenomen that messages would appear empty on the preview pane and sometimes even when being opened.
*Spotlight: * Even though I let the indexing finish on the first day of working under Leopard, every now and then it seemed to start all over. First, I thought it's the NAS being indexed but it just went on to restart indexing each time I thought I had let it finish.
*Free disk space: * I tried to bring the usage of my homedirectory down so I would have enough free disk space to switch FileVault off and then back on so I could start using TimeMachine. But whatever I did, the free disk space just wouuldn't inrease - it just stayed the same (yes, I did let the system recover space on shutdown).
The *free disk space* issue made me think there was a problem with my disk but repeated runs with the Disk Utility yielded nothing...not for about a month. Yesterday I got some warnings about 'damaged but not repaired' but according to an Apple doc those could be safely ignored.
Somebody suggested to apply the combo update for 10.5.1 as that could solve some issues so I went ahead - after all, the update had already been applied earlier so just re-installing wouldn't hurt much, right?
Wrong.
The install of the combo update went smoothly, FileVault recovered some space on shutdown but upon restart I couldn't log in anymore: My homedirectory was damaged. The friendly OS X Leopard offered to repair it but soon later reported back that it failed doing so.
Now, to cut a long story short - deleting the affected user's account and using a different user on the same machine (without FileVault) solved any issues I've had. Mail now works like a charm (despite 40k+ messages with attachments), spotlight doesn't restart all it's indexing and disk space is shown correctly again. Also the odd corrupt file copy I had experienced occasionally (especially with large files) was gone.
My advise to anyone who didn't de-activate FileVault under Tiger to make the switch to Leopard: Even if you think it worked, switch it off and let Leopard set it up again. You may think things went right...but the above shows that there may be issues with it that you may blame other apps for...but they're probably not guilty at all.
I don't think the combo update actually caused FileVault to turn corrupt, it was just what broke the camel's neck. While it's no fun to lose your homedirectory, I'm glad the underlying issue finally came to light.

Issue with mail package - namespace

Hi All
I am trying to use mail package in my receiver mail adapter.
The mandatory elements for using mail package are:

How can i get the above specified namespace? How can i override my existing namespace with this new one?
As i am using message mapping, I spicified message type's 'XML Namespace' field as "http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30".
But even this doesnt help.

I am also trying to use the namespace. All seems to be working but I do not get the e-mail message sent to me. This what shows in my Technical routing payload. (FYI had to replace the "at" sign with "-" for this posting due to the limits for the forum software.)

Issue with minidisplay adapter and wifi

I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but my gf is having an issue when she connects her 13" macbook pro to her monitor via the minidisplay dvi adapter. When she connects it her wifi disconnects and has no internet access at all, but when she disconnects it the internet comes right back on. She's using a generic adapter but what would that have to with the wifi? She uses a linksys G router and is using 10.6.1

This thread caught my attention - because since switching last week from a late '06 Macbook to the Macbook Pro 13", my Wifi performance at home has gotten slow and unreliable.
I'm using the Apple MiniDP-DVI adapter, connected to a 24" Dell monitor, which has worked great for a few years on my white Macbook. My base station is a Linksys WRTSL54GS, located about 20 feet away from my desk.
So, I tried some speed tests with and without the DVI. Performance with the adapter connected is terrible, disconnected it's perfect. Further testing shows that positioning matters.
When the adapter is turned back 90 degrees, leading the monitor cable towards the back of my desk, Wifi performance is bad. When I turn the adapter so it sticks straight out the left side of the Macbook Pro, performance is normal.
This is a little weird, but an acceptable workaround for me.
