Issue with MAX_ROWS in the API wwsrc_api.item_search

Hi,
I am working on SR 3-1230668521
Customer is hitting on the Portal limitation indicated on Note:393071.1
The workaround indicated on this Note is not valid for the customer. I can not find any other workaround that could help him.
Did somebody hit on this error before? Did you have other workarounds for this?

I am not very convinced as to the reason why the customer will not be able to implement the workaround. The only thing he mentions in the service request is :
'we really need a solution. Can you give us another alternative? If not, we need another Error-Message or a customized Error-Message at least.'

Hello all
Got an iMac since January 2008 and I do like it a lot, even though it has some issues:
-- It displays (quite often) lines partially across the screen
-- Lines appear as well when opening applications or when menus come up
-- The system freezes more than I like to admit (more than my Windows/Ubuntu box)
I don't know if the freezing has to do with the lines that are shown on my screen. But I assume that both issues relate to some video card problem. I can't be sure - but that's what I assume from living with this issue day to day.
The line on the desktop (most of the time it is there before login) I can always get rid of by changing the display resolution to something else and then changing it back. Normally the line is gone, or, reappears on a different spot on the desktop. But repeating the procedure removes the line.
However, this does not mean that the lines are not showing up again when launching apps or displaying menus!
And since those lines appear to happen randomly, I think it's safe to assume that we're not talking dead pixels here, either...
About the freezing:
My iMac freezes sometimes when I move the mouse around, when switching desktops using "spaces" or when the zoom function of the Dock kicks in. Sometimes the screen goes completely black, sometimes completely white. The mouse, however, always works. But the system requires a reboot.
Again, this happens too often to feel comfy about it.
With my little knowledge of Mac troubleshooting I assume that there's something wrong with the ATI card that's built into my Mac. On the other hand, some people say that they started getting similar issues after updating their OS to Leopard. Again other people say that such issues stem from an ATI revision that is too old and the Mac should get a new ATI card. And how would that work? Isn't that an "all-in-one" machine with everything soldered onto the mainboard?
So, any help in this matter is greatly appreciated...

I think a few have.
Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

My wife and I are on different networks ie GCI vs AT&T after we both updated our iphones to 6.1 we no longer can receive texts messaging even though both are phones say the message was delivered. we can however text with other iphone users as long they are withing the same carrier and with everyone as long as they are not other iphones regardless of the carrier as well as with other iphon users that are still using 6.0. My wife and I also have ipads with wifi only and the one we updated to 6.1 is having the same issue while the one that is still 6.0 has no issue and will send and receive messages with out issue even to and from the 6.1 devives that are having issues. I have contacted both service providers and was told it is a Apple messaging issue. At this point I just would like to find and reinstal the 6.

Issue with applet reading the zero-length string values

In my application the javascript function is setting the values read from the text fields to an applet. If the text fields are blank the javascript is setting blank value only but in the applet the values have become null. Please can any one let me know what exactly is the problem here?
Its working fine in jdk 1.6.0 I upgraded it to 1.6.0_12 update and facing this problem.

In the applet class its checking the same way but there i m getting the value as 'null' for the parameter set from javascript.
But in the javascript if i try to alert the value its giving me blank i.e., zero-length string.
When i tried to google it I found the following information,
In JDK 1.1 the Java language specification was loose in dealing with null and zero-length strings in the class libraries. Some APIs may treat a zero-length string as null, while other APIs may treat null as it is. In Java SE, the Java language specification has been tightened up to specify what the exact behavior should be.
This issue is not fixable. Thus, in Java SE an applet that relies on the APIs to treat null as a zero-length string may result in an exception.
Is there anything to do with this?
The strange thing is it working fine in 1.6.0 i mean i m getting the value of parameter as blank in applet which is same set from javascript.
But if the same is not working in 1.6.0_12 inspite of javascript setting the blank value, the applet is reading it has 'null'.

BW 3.5, BEx Query designer issue with text of the characteristics

Hi All,
We are currently using BEx 3.5 Query Designer to design the queries. We have one of the ODS on which we are querying for.
We have 3 different types of Customer in this ODS. 0Customer, 0BBP_CUSTOMER and 0GN_CUSTOMER. The problem is when we open this ODS in Query designer we see their text name on the left hand side column where it shows data fields as the same text name Customer.
Now the our Power users have raised the issue that it is very confusing even when there are 3 different technical names for these characteristics.
2 Questions I have.
1) Why is something like this happening? is it some issue with the Patch or something. We will be migrating to new BI soon but in the mean time if I could resolve it that will be the best. Or does it even get resolved with new BI???
2) what is the way in which we can resolve it?

Things like this happen, when it is called customer it could be different customers, 0customer is the standard R/3 customer and 0BBP_customer is objects from CRM and most likely 0GN_Customer might be customer from different system.
Sure, power users should be told which customer is customer and you could also change the discription of the object, to match the definition on the other system. You could also just create z object and replace the existing confusing object with something meaningful to users.

Issue with one of the Managed server while enabling SSL.__ Issue Resovled

Weblogic version:wls 8.1sp6
SSL: internal
Environment:
1 AdminServer and 2 Managed servers. Admin and M1 are on same host. M2 is on different host. We have enabled SSL on M1 & M2 only. Configuration of M1 & M2 are identical. After restarting the servers M1 has no issue with SSL but M2 throws javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException as shown below,

The reason for this was
The CA Certificate was missing a required bit (according to RFC 3280).
keyEncipherment bit is not in the KeyUsage and KeyUsage is marked as critical.
As per RFC:
The keyEncipherment bit is asserted when the subject public key is
used for key transport. For example, when an RSA key is to be
used for key management, then this bit is set.
According to RFC3280, when the key will be used to encrypt other keys that are send over the wire ("key transport") the keyEncipherment bit of the KeyUsage extension must be set. If the KeyUsage extension is critical, the SSL certificate validation will check that the key can be used in the key agreement. That is, that the key can be used to encrypt the symmetric public key.
Your KeyUsage only contains the following bits:
[4]: ObjectId: 2.5.29.15 Criticality=true KeyUsage [
DigitalSignature
Key_CertSign
Crl_Sign
Since it is marked Critical, it MUST have the keyEncipherment bit.
Otherwise, it should not be marked as Critical.
So the three solutions that should work are
1) Remove keyUsage
2) Don't mark keyUsage as critical
3) If keyUsage is critical, make sure keyEncipherment bit is set.

Has anyone had issues with not hearing the text alerts on the iPhone 5?

hello i have been having issues with my iphone 5 not hearing the text alert tones.it will go from time to time & only hear the vibrating sound, The wired part is all other alerts work fine , just text.
Has anyone having this same issue ? Also i noticed sometimes when i text, i'll see some crazy blury lines go across my screen like as i text it will move across any help?

I have had that issue with no text alert sound and also with calls, no ring for the call but then I got a missed call or voicemail alert. Never had the blurry lines though. Right after I upgraded, the ring changed to a very short version of what I have selected and only rang once, other times not at all. This was a very big problem since I am working from my car most of the day and get a lot of calls and texts. I did a reset with home button and button on the top as described in a post somewhere here on the forum and the problems stopped. So far so good. Give reset a try!

Issues with activation of the Illustrator trial version

Hi there,
I have just downloaded the Illustrator CS6 trial version and the download appeared to be successful. I was then prompted to sign in to Adobe to activate the trial and when I input my details the following pop up message comes up:

I am then unable to close this window. I have restarted my computer 3 times (in order to close the window) and keep getting the same error message. This is preventing me from opening the trial version of Illustrator.
I am running on Windows 7 Home Premium. I also have the latest full Photoshop version on my computer which was successfully downloaded and I haven't had any issues with this (however, in saying this, never downloaded the trial version).
Please could you urgently help with this matter.

Any known issues with updating to the Windows 8.1 RTM?

The Windows 8.1 RTM is finally on MSDN. I was looking to run the update and wanted to see if anyone has upgraded and see if anyone has seen any issues with CC.

In case anybody else is using Windows 8.1 on 3200 x 1800 resolution and experiencing the same problem, I think I may have found a workaround. At least on this laptop (Dell XPS15) I can right
-click on the EDQ application in the Start Menu and choose to Run with graphics processor / High - performance (NVIDIA) processor. This appears to render the EDQ canvas with sympathetically sized fonts making the processes, and the attributes within processors, readable again.
I would be interested to hear if anybody has some Java font parameter that can be set to control the font size on Java applications, but for now the problem I had appears to be solved.
