Issue with OIOF entry - Assignment of Costing parameters to Maintenance Ord

Dear Friends,
I need to assign some costing parameters to a Plant and Order type using OIOF [assignment of costing parameters to Maintenance orders]. But the plant and order type data in that table is missing [deleted by some means!] .
Now I need to maintain the Plant and order type assignment in this OIOF Transaction, but am not able to do so. Hence could you please let me know how to maintain this plant and order type assigment so that I could enter some costing parameter to the same.

Once you define the the order type and assgin to the plant, the same will flow to the transaction OIOF, you need not to maintain this seperately.
In OIOF you can only change the cost parameter, the defalut value will be PM01 - miantenance order.

you should be able to assign a dynamic value with global entry lists as well. If you say @myParam as dynamic value. VC will indicate in red letters, that the field @myParam is unknown. However, it will work, as long as @myParam is known in the form or table where you use the entry list.
I have never heard of the problem that entry lists are emptied after "insert"-event.

Issue with SM21 entries.

Hi Gurus,
   I am facing soem prblems with the entries in SM21 of my BW server.
    I can see only the following entry what ever be the Date and Time i specify.
04:32:29 DIA 001 010 ALEREMOTE                A0 3 Breakpoint reached
04:32:29 DIA 001 010 ALEREMOTE                A1 4 > in program GP487ICCMF1QNB4B489QAE4WV1E , line 2626, event ROUTINE_0001
And i can see entries only with the current date and can't see entries in SM21 with the past date.
Please guide me what the issue is and help me in resolving the issue.

Syslog is used for logging selected events and problems within SAP system.
Information is written into text files that are saved at operating level. Exact location can be identified with the help of system parameter DIR_LOGGING.
In SE38 tcode, when you run the report RSPARAM you will find some parameters:
rslg/local/file: Name of local file can be identified with this parameter.
When maximum limit of this file is reached new file is created and old file is saved in the system at OS level. Location of this file can be identified by the parameter rslg/local/old_file.
You can try to check the same from that.
System log is wriiten for every instance separately.

Issue with Variable Entry in BI 7.0

Hi,
I am having an issue with the variable entry in BI 7.0 Version. Here is a brief background.
--- In BW 3.x, when we define a variable with <b>Single Value Option</b>, you can enter the value manually in the pop-up selection screen or select from the dropdown of possible values.
---But in 7.0 when i try to enter the value manually in the selection screen its opening the dropdown list, and is not giving me the option to enter a value manually. I am entering a valid single value in selection.
Is this a bug or do i have to make any specific settings to correct my issue?

When the selection screen pops up choose the KEY only function on the TOOLS on the top right corner of the screen. Then you will be able to enter the values manually.

10.5 DHCP issues with Wireless - self assigned IPs?

We're having an issue with Mac OSX 10.5.4 clients, running the latest software updates, not getting an IP address via DHCP on our wireless network.
We're using Cisco APs, with multiple VLANs & SSIDs. They authenticate, but get automatic self-assigned IP addresses. None of our PC clients are experiencing this issue, nor older 10.4.x OSX clients. This looks like a bug, from what I was able to discover:

Since the link you posted is from late last year, there have been many updates to Leopard. Some of the updates mention network reliability. Even though Apple has stated that the Pram chips don't control network connections, I have had some luck by Zapping The Pram - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379 - Remember to check your System Prefs for things like date/time settings after you Zap.

There is issue with notication dropdown and calender app in ios 7 which was not present in ios 6. The notification sync birthdays from contacts but only birthdays and not anniversaries.

The problem is not with the phone per se. The problem is with Android 4.0 and your TB does not have 4.0. Because this phone is the "gold standard" of development for Android 4.0 it makes sense to report the problem here. If Verizon takes notice they will push the bug report up the food chain until some developer at Google or Samsung decides to fix it.

Assign purchasing org to a plant - Issue with saving entries

When we assign a plant to a expense item/revenue item under
SPRO->Enterprise Structure->Assignment->Material Management->Assign Purch org to a Plant (OX 17), it is getting saved into a transport but after creating the transport...changes are not showing up in the customization screen. I looked into table T024W and it does have changes made. Are we missing any steps which is causing not to show up in the customization screen but save to a file and transport? Please, help on how to over come this issue.

Issue with Service Entry Sheet Acceptance

I am running into an issue when accepting service entry sheets. Here is the scenario
I created 6 service master records and assigned unique valuation classes to each one of them . Each valuation class determines unique G/L account in Inventory postings ( Tcode OBYC-GBB)
I am creating a service entry sheet for these 6 service master records against a PO and accepting with different dollar value for each of the records. When I check PO, I can see only one line in Material document being generated with a cumulative dollar value from 6 records being posted to G/L in the PO ( I was expecting one Material doc with 6 different lines with postings made to individual G/L account mentioned in the Config)
What am I missing in the config/data setup which is triggering postings to account in PO instead of individual accounts from OBYC setup

For service procurement( which is without material master) ,the account determination for service or without material master,the G/L accounts are assigned with service group/material group where you defined material group in OMSF and then material group link it with valuation class in OMQW.
In OBYC ,_no valuation class needed for Service with WRX key_.Use t.code: OBYC, Enter Chart of Account. Now & Double click WRX,, in next screen ,click RULES in application tool bar & then in next screen do not select check box of valuation class & save.
Now come back & Use t.code: OBYC, Enter Chart of Account, Double click WRX & enter your G/L account ONLY for GR/IR Clearing(for service)save.
The accounting entries are for service procurement are:
The accounting entry after SES released
*Service Procurement(KBS): Dr
GR/IR Clearing-service( WRX): Cr
The accounting entry after MIRO posting:
GR/IR Clearing(service): Dr
Vendor Account: Cr
The *Service Procurement account triggered during SES released bcuz of the same G/L account you entered during creation of PO/SO with cost center( check PO account assignment TAB in PO item details)

I have one issue like User has created a Service entry sheet against purchase order and he has accepted the SES and at that time GR has been created for this SES and after that he has deleted the SES with out revoking the SES ( I could not understand how he has deleted) and Now GR is hanging in the system.
Is there any way to delete(Cancel) this GR?

IF SES cancelled. Now clear the accounting document manually in F.13.
Note-1:The revoke & Delection of SES is done in T.code:ML81N, Click on other purchase order. Enter the Entry sheet/Purchase order number you want to cancel. Then the details will be copied, then click on change and then click on revoke acceptance icon.Now if u want to delete the SES, after revoking SES click on Delete icon, So that the SES will get deleted.

Issue with Read only VO Query bind parameters

I am face one issue, probably its very common to all of us, bcoz i to do the same thing in N number of times.
Issue:
select count(*) as cnt from emp
where
((:BindEmpId is NOT NULL AND EMP_ID = :BindEmpId) AND
(DEPT_ID IS NULL OR DEPT_ID =: BindDeptId));
when i run this query its giving correct result(count is 0) but usually i written like
select count(*) as cnt from emp
where
((:BindEmpId is NOT NULL AND EMP_ID = :BindEmpId) AND
(BindDeptId IS NULL OR DEPT_ID =: BindDeptId));
this time its giving count is 1, which is wrong.
Data in data base:
ID     DeptID     value EmpID
226     1519     jh 601
So which one is correct?

Well, the two select statements are for different use cases and we can't decide which is the correct one as we don't know the use case.
Your data looks like
ID   DeptID value EmpID
226 1519   jh    601 There are some decisions we can't make with only one row in the table. We don't know if DepIt can be null in the table and/or EmpId can be null. This information is vital for your select statements.
Next we don't know how you want to handle the query if one or both bind parameters are null.
Should the query return 0 in this case or should the query just omit the part of the query if the bind variable is null (and then return the result found with the remaining query)?
We can't possible answer this.

Calendar Sync Issue With repeating entry deletions Notes 8.5 to BB

I have an issue where when synchronizing may calendar with Lotus Notes version 8.5, the Blackberry will delete repeating entries. Specifically, if I load the Blackberry with all my calendar entries from Notes and then in one entry in my Notes calendar a "single" occurance of a meeting gets canceled .. the next time I sync with the Blackberry it deletes "all" occurances of that meeting from the BB. The entries remain correct on Lotus Notes. The only way I can seem to fix that is to reset sync setting and reload the calendar to the BB all over again, and then this occurs again .... this happens with both V5 and V6 of the BB Desktop Software. Has anyone seen this and is there a fix ?

Issue with Blog entry length

Okay, so i create a blog with pictures that are very long (several pictures made into one in photoshop). When i'm editing the blog entry in iWeb, everything looks fine. When i view it in the browser the page cuts off half way and moves the next and previous buttons up to where it cuts off. In iWeb i set the page length to be 4000pixels, which is more than enough...but it doesn't show up that way in the browser.
My solution right now is to open the html file in dreamweaver and change the length pixels to 3000, which works fine. The problem is that anytime i do work in iWeb, it'll automatically save it back to it's version...so i'd have to change every blog entry every time i do anything to the website! WHAT A PAIN!!!
Anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution? Is Apple listening? FIX THE BUGS!

This seems totally illogical to me, because if the picture is in the body, the footer should come after the body. I should have to extend a footer to have an entire picture in the body show up.
Either way, i obviously did it (because all your other advice is accurate), and of course it works....sort of.
Okay, so now i CAN see the entire picture, however, Next and Previous still show up mid way through the picture. yet in the editor they are under the picture. SO, i thought i'd just drag them down a ways and sort of gage how much extra space is needed. So in the editor there would be a huge gap under the picture before these arrows show up. Unfortunately, this didn't work, the next and previous buttons still who up mid way over the picture. GAH?
Is there a fix for this? I haven't really bothered playing around with it, 'cause i spent soo much time last night trying to figure out why adding another blank page caused all my other pages to alter.

Issue with folder permissions assigned to a group

There is probably a simple and obvious answer to this, but I have not been able to find it by searching.
Here's the situation:
We are new to Active Directory in my company. We have a machine joined to a Domain. On the Domain Controller, we have a security group called Accounting. On the domain joined machine, I have added the Accounting security group to the machine's
local Remote Desktop Users group. This works fine, all user accounts that are part of Accounting can now login with RDC.
Next, I create a folder, c:\test. I disable permission inheritance on c:\test, then remove all permissions entries except for CREATOR OWNER and SYSTEM. I do not change any permissions granted to these two. Now, I add the Accounting security
group to this folder, and grant that group Full Control permissions.
When one of the members of the Accounting security group logs in and attempts to open c:\test with windows Explorer, it states they do not have permission to access the folder, and it requests an Administrator account and password.
I even went into advanced security settings to the Effective Access tab, entered the user account of one the Accounting security group's members, and effective access states that said user account has full control permissions.
It seems to me that a member of a security group that is granted Full Control permissions on a folder *should* be able to open said folder without incident. What am I missing?
ADDITIONAL INFO: The Accounting security group has a scope of Domain Local, in case that is important.
