Issue with WebDynPro ALV

Hi,
I have an ALV with all the cell editors of the columns are input fields.
But, the point is, the rows are not editable and it is not allowing me to do copy paste.
Is there any way to do this.

You can Make the Row edittable by following the below steps.
1.)You Need to call the get model method.
        DATA : lr_table_settings TYPE REF TO if_salv_wd_table_settings,
           lo_value TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_config_table,
           lr_column TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column,
           lr_all TYPE REF TO salv_wd_t_column_ref,
           lr_column_settings TYPE REF TO if_salv_wd_column_settings,
           lr_input_field TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_uie_input_field.
    DATA: lt_columns TYPE salv_wd_t_column_ref,
         ls_column TYPE salv_wd_s_column_ref,
         lo_column TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column,
         lo_col_head TYPE REF TO cl_salv_wd_column_header.
        lo_value = lo_interfacecontroller->get_model(
2.)Then call the method get_column()
Here you need to mention the field name to make it editable.
lr_column_settings ?= lo_value.
      CALL METHOD lr_column_settings->get_column
        EXPORTING
          id    = 'Field name'
        RECEIVING
          value = lr_column.
      CREATE OBJECT lr_input_field
        EXPORTING
          value_fieldname = 'Field name'.

F4 help issue with Webdynpro ABAP application

Hi,
I am facing a strange issue with the F4 help in my webdynpro abap application.
I have few fields for Purchase Order and Line item on the screen and they have corresponding F4 helps associated with them.
When i select for F4 help, sometimes the screen simply blanks out and a white screen is displayed. When i refresh the screen and try the same scenario again, i can see the value list correctly.
This issue occurs very randomly with no specific pattern. If anyone else has faced this issue earlier, kindly let me know how to get rid of this issue.
Any pointers to resolve this issue will be helpful.
Note: I am using SAP version 702 SP09.

Hi,
we cannot help you from offline, you need to check the standard procedures like
SICF->is your application node is active.
FQDN->check fully qualified name is configured
You can also try to execute standard SAP application, if sap application also has problem running then you may have to get the help of BASiS people to look into that and raise a support ticket.
If sap applications are running and your custom developed applications are not running then look into this application if there is any URL parameters need to supply etc.

Issue with displaying ALV in a popup window

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create an popup window with an ALV in it. TO display the ALV i have defined the component usage for SALV_WD_TABLE component.When the ALV is displayed for the first time it shows up correctly with required data. When i try to display ALV popup again only the popup window frame gets displayed the ALV is missing from the popup window.
If i refresh the main component by clicking browser refresh buttion and then click for ALV popup dsplay i get the correct popup display the first time and then agin the same issue.
Has anyone else come across this issue before. All your suggestions, responses are welcome.

My popup window has only one embedded view, the TABLE view of used component SALV_WD_TABLE hence i cannot modify the TABLE view.
I tired putting the following code for context node initialization in both the the methods WDDOONOPEN and WDDOINIT of the window which has the embedded view. But it dosen't make any difference i face the same issue even with these changes.

Print Issue with Sorted ALV Grid

Hi Team,
I am using ALV display for my Program. Iam using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY. Also i have a Sorting condition for my ALV grid. So iam filling the Sort table & passing it to the Function module. The data is displayed correctly with Sorting as required in the Output.
Now the issue is with: Print from this ALV. When we try to print the data, The requirement is that the Print should be same as how it is displayed in the ALV. "Grouped Columns"..... But now, the Print is that all the data is filled in all the columns. But user wants the Print also to appear same as it is shown in a Sorted ALV display.(With some similar column data missing in succeding sort columns until new entry starts)
Please suggest a solution to acheive the same.

Look at Q#19 in the note 1009650. Merging functionality is available only for ALV grid display.
Related Note: 447055
Work around would be to display the excel in the SAP window (Excel in Place) and print it from Excel. Read the following thread to make the necessary settings to make it work. Download Report exactly same as seems with Layout set !!

Blackberry issues with WebDynpro application

We are testing a webdynpro application via a blackberry. The webdynpro application works fine from IE. With the blackberry, we see the following:
- User logs into the application. After user's first access attempt, they no longer have to log in. We even turn off the Blackberry and restart. The same issue occurs.
- User executes a line item transaction in the Blackberry. This item executes fine. However, we get a communication error on the next lineitem.
Is there Blackberry Browser and/or Blackberry server settings that need to be applied to allow the sessions and WebDynpro communication to work properly?

Issue with Hierarchial ALV using class

Hi,
I am trying to create a report where when the user executes the selection screen he would get an output as a alv tree with the nodes expanded. I have not used the class cl_gui_alv_tree before. The alv is created but I need all the nodes to be expanded. There is a method expand_nodes, but I am unable to get the result as the output still is not in expanded form. All sales orders with list of material being used to be shown on the alv in expanded form.
Please suggest.

Issue with editable alv using cl_gui_alv_grid

Hello all,
its a table update program . user can save create new entry and delete the entires . the screen should be avaiable for multiple time inputs by the user . i achived it by method handle double click and i am refreshing the scrren and making the alv for ready for input . but user wants the screen shoukld get refreshed automatically once user clicks on save button .
how can I achive plz advise .

SAve is an user command . I want to have the values which are changed by the user and again the output should be ready for any actions like change the data , create new and delete any entry .
basically the alv output screen should be reday for inputs any number of times untill user clicks on back button .

Issue with WebDynpro DC's...

I am importing Development Configurations for a DC in a track on NWDI .
Once i make the project out of the imported DC , the underlying application within the WebDynpro Project isnt getting displayed in my NWDS.

Dropdown - issue with passing values to context

Hi,
After facing issue in:
Webdynpro + alv + dynamic dropdown
Now I've encountered another problem. Dropdown is created in alv, however once user select value from the list it shows selected value in the cell, however value in context remains unchanged.
Here is the way I implemented dropdown:
1) I added new field to the structure which is shown in the alv FIELD1 of WDR_CONTEXT_ATTR_VALUE_LIST type.
2) I initialize the column, where dropdown is supposed to be:
- first column
l_col_name = 'COL1'.
lr_column = lr_model->if_salv_wd_column_settings~get_column( l_col_name ).

Webdynpro ALV checkbox displays 'X'

Hello Webdynpro Champions,
I have an issue with displaying ALV output in Webdynpro.
I have a checkbox as my first column.
This checkbox is bound to a context node.
When I check this checkbox, in the ALV output I get 'X' displayed in the output. I think this is unwanted in my case and hence will like to curb it and not display that X next to my checkbox in the ALV output.
Any ideas how to disable that X from gettting displayed in the ALV output?

This one can you can solve by removing this (or smilar) method call from the place where you setup your ALV layout:
lrc_checkbox->set_text_fieldname( 'CBXCOLNAME' ).
As you probably have this call in your coding (copy&paste from different cell editor example? ), you will see column's text (autoo-mapped to content) next to your checkbox.

Problem with the ALV after sending the mail

Good Morning Experts
I have a small issue with the ALV. I have a program, which has to sent email. In My program initially I am displaying basic list in the alv and user can navigate to secondary list also, by clicking on a contract number in the basic list.
I gave a tool button in the tool bar to the user in the basic list, to send the mail. When the user clicks on the I have to send the mail both the lists, basic list and seconday list in the mail as separate attachments.
Mail is going fine and later if the user chooses to see any contract in detail(Secondary List), that time ALV giving dump with message type X. And it is stopping some where in the ALV code

Issue with ALV grid print preview/spool

Hello everyone,
I am working on a report and I am having some issues with ALV grid. Currently in our DEV and QA environments the user can run the report, view the ALV grid, and print the grid without any issues.
However this isn't the case in the Prod environment. The user is able to run the report and view the grid without any issues. But when they click print preview or click print, the spool is incorrect. It shows the proper values from the grid, but the first field is reduced in length. Rather than showing a numeric field of length 10 it shows 99999999# or 99999999...
The programs are identical through every environment, including user parameters, formats, and spool settings. I have been told printing grids may have some issues, does anyone have any advice or dealt with this issue before?

Issue with new abap webdynpro INBOX EHP5

Hello Experts,
I'm currently working on the configuration of ESS/MSS services in EHP5. We are using different services like Appraisal OSA, Learning solution,etc. I already configured the Launchpad ESS, it's working fine but now I have an issue with the new Abap webdynpro INBOX. The employee and manager see their workitem notifications correctly in their respective inbox.(I'm calling application: IBO_WDA_INBOX that I integrated in my launchpad).
My problem is that when clicking on a workitem in order that it opens me the appraisal document (in edit or display mode), I got an error saying: "There is no iView available for system "": object "SWF_WIOBN". For more information, contact your administrator."
I did some search on SAP help without any results. I'm wondering how should I register workflow tasks? I saw there is a table called IBO_C_WF_TAS (I added entries e.g:
IBO_WDA_INBOX TS99700031   EXECUTEAPPRAISALDOCUMENT).
I tried also to register all my custom tasks in transaction SWFVISU.
example:

Visualization Type: ABAP Webdynpro
APPLICATION:    HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT
DYNPARAM   :    sap-wd-configId=HAP_AC_MAIN_DOC
NAMESPACE :    sap

Could you let me know what could be wrong, what I missed? Shall I create an iView, if yes which one? which properties?

Thanks for you reply. Still the same issue. Following are the config I did till now:
In the PCD I created a new business object (SWF_WIOBN), an operation linked to the object (NAVIGATE).
I did create an iView (powl) in the custom folder, I integrated the operation within iView. I created a page that contains the iView.
In the properties of the iView I gave:
Application Name: HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT.
Launch in New Window: "Display in separate Headerless Portal Window".
System: SAP_ECC_HumanResources
I added the required entries in tables:
IBO_C_WF_TTAS
IBO_C_WF_ACS
IBO_V_WF_TAC
IBO_V_WF_TTAC
etc...
I saw in the code of linked feeder class: CL_IBO_INBOX_FEEDER_WI that it's checking something called "Launch_Editor".. Is it a property that we can set somewhere?
Following are the parameters retrieved by system:
BO_NAME       = SWF_WIOBN
BO_OP_NAME = NAVIGATE
LAUNCHER_PARAMETERS -> empty.??
BO_RESOLVE_MODE = USER_SET_OF_ROLES
LAUNCH_EDITOR empty where must be set?
At the end I still get the error:
There is no iView available for system "": object "SWF_WIOBN". For more information, contact your administrator.

Issue with custom toolbar button in alv and leave screen

Hi,
in one subscreen (say screen 100)i have an alv with custom ADD toolbar button..so in the user_command event handler ,i call a antoher screen(dialogue)..like if i click on ADD button ,it should display dialogue screen(say 200) and after entering input in dialogue screen i click on CONINUE to retrun to screen 100..problem is for the first time i click on ADD button its working fine ,succesffyuly returned to screen 100...but for the second time i click on add button , i have to click on twice the CONTINUE button to retrun to screen 100..when debuggin i found the user_command event routin is executin twice ..any solution..

Apparently handler is set for every new ALV instance. This you get by executing CREATE OBJECT alv... every time PBO is raised. Ensure you are executing this statement only once duirng program lifetime. Then the system will match event handler only with one ALV instance (executing it once).
if r_alv is not bound.
CREATE OBJECT r_alv ...
SET HANDLER ...
endif.

Issue with display of decimal places

Hi,
In our custom built components we are facing a strange issue with the display decimals where the data type of an element is "QUAN - Quantity field, points to a unit field with format UNIT".
If the element has a value of 3000.000 KG the value is displayed as 3000. Where as for an element which has a value 3000.123 KG the same is displayed as it is with the decimals. We tried to resolve the issue by using Text editor or Input field as read only but in vain. The display property in the context are set to default.
If we change the element data type reference to "Dec - Counter or amount field with Comma and Sign" then all the values are displayed with the decimal places even if decimals are zero.
As a result we are facing alignment issues for the various quantity related elements displayed on the screen. To change the underlying data type of the element is a not a solution for us as the data type quan is required for conversion from one unit to another unit.
Can someone please advise how we could resolve this issue. We are on NW 7.0 + EHP4 + NW 7.01 SP4, kernel patch level 55 for 7.01

Jameel, Thanks for the answer but this is a not a solution for us. We have around 40-50 webdynpro components and with mutliple views referring to this data element / domain combination. More so the context are bound to database tables / structures .
I hope to get a reply from Thomas on possible solution for this. I am not sure if I can open an support ticket for this issue.
